Romance and Sci Fi/ Fantasy Section
Lizzie U.

I recently moved to this area and was so happy to have found this hidden gem! I have been to many bookstores but none have been as delightful as this one! The staff were incredibly kind, and were there to offer assistance if needed. They had a "Romantasy" section which I thought was genius! Definitely will be returning time and time again. Love love love!

I visited this book shop thinking it was a used book store but it ended up being new books. I thought the interior was too cute not to look around. There isn't a huge selection of books but it's definitely a place that I could see being the local "book club" shop. The staff are all friendly and helpful. I love the trinkets and almost bought some socks but they were too pricy. I looked the socks up online (okay, I know...shop local) and they were the same price. This book shop may seem overpriced but they're quite honest!

Love the book selections!!

Fun little book store relocated to strip mall with Over the Falls and the Wake Forest bowling alley. Love the squeaky floors and eclectic book selections. They have scheduled reading clubs and story time for kids. Very cool little area for the kids to get their reading on! Owners are fun happy people that take pride and it shows.

I was SO delighted to find that this book store is so close to home. I had noticed it one evening while we stopped by Over the Falls for dinner (they are in the same plaza). After dinner, we decided to stop in and I was so happy that we did. It's a lot larger than it appears from the outside. The staff is friendly and greets you when you walk in. There are books everywhere (my heaven) and they have them organized very well so that you can find what you're looking for. Also, the smell of new books consumes the store. Another thing I appreciated about the store is that they have sticky notes on some of the book covers with blurbs about the content or whether or not that book is recommended by an employee. It's great that they take the time to do this as it makes it easier for me to identify if that book is going to be something I'm interested in. Aside from their personal touches with the sticky notes, the store is very creative and spunky. Their banned books section is covered in caution tape with notes on why the books were banned. There is also information about book clubs that meet and discuss various genres, along with other events going on at the store or local venues. I thought this was neat as I often find it difficult to locate events happening in our area. I know that I will be visiting again and am excited to have found a local book store to support!

Cool phone that gives book synopsis

One of the best little books stores ever! Small town feel, personal service, great staff. We've been in a few times and are always welcomed with a smile. The books are current and displayed in a pleasing attractive way. They are knowledgeable, happy to answer questions and can special order just about anything. It's not difficult to enjoy a store who loves books. We love Page 158!

The selection is amazing! The slogan where the booksellers shop is spot on as you pay the same…read moreprice as another guy buying for is Civil War Bookshop in Virginia or wherever. They have a good selection of those hard to find collectors books also. Tom was really nice when a fellow collector passed he would buy most of their collection, if not all, he didn't just cherry pick the high value collector's books. So Broadfoot has a huge collection of great books under $50, and many under $20. I struggled to post this as it is kind of a secret diamond unknown to individual civil war collectors. I say that because when I go there I regularly bump into bookstore owners buying at the same price! But, hey I turn 70 this year LOL. The new owner us a real nice guy also. Happy book hunting at great prices

This is a specialty book store with a focus on military history and the American Civil War. This is…read morenot a general used book store. Broadfood has been selling Civil War books for longer than many folks reading this review have been alive (including me and I'm in my late 30s)! Broadfoot is a major publisher of Civil War titles and they also sell used Civil War books. This location is their storefront. And oh what a store it is! If you are a military history buff or student of the Civil War this is very literally heaven on earth. The store isn't fancy but it's stocked with thousands of new and used books on the Civil War. The folks running the shop are friendly, welcoming, and exceedingly helpful. I spent 4 hours browsing and still didn't see everything. Prices are so reasonable to almost be absurd. They have books that sell for hundreds of dollars for $5, $10, $20, or $30 each. They also stock many rare highly collectible antiquarian books as well. Though they have a huge selection of used Civil War titles, as a publisher Broadfoot also specializes in publishing large and often rare but critical primary source reference sets like the Official Records of the Rebellion. In their store many of these sets are heavily discounted from what they cost when ordering online or from other bookstores. Even better they have a scratch and dent section too. You can pick up sets most people would only ever see in a major University library for fractions of their street price. If you are a book person and interested in the Civil War this place is a MUST SEE. Just be aware they have very limited hours on Wed and Fri only. In this day of publishers and shops dying left and right and folks moving to eBooks places like Broadfoot are to be celebrated! I can't wait to visit again soon.
