Pagoda has been going for absolutely forever - it was one of the first restaurants I found when I came to Adelaide 13 years ago, and has been a favourite ever since. It features good, solid value, simple chinese dishes done really well.
I've always said the true test for a Chinese restaurant is how many Chinese people you find eating there - Pagoda is consistently filled with Chinese clientelle enjoying the food. There's a little bonus at lunchtime, too, a cheaper takeaway menu featuring a half serve of your chosen dish with fried rice.
Decor - well, it's a chinese restaurant. It looks like a chinese restaurant - but then, seriously, you're going there for the food. :)
My personal favourites are the ginger mushroom fish, and their combination omelette is to die for. Classic food, done right. read more
