They accepted the task and made it happen. On top of the performance, they called to confirm pickup, called an hour from the destination, and called to confirm delivery once it was made. I had received automated phone call to schedule delivery time. Everything was confirmed. Received…read moreemails from the main shipping company Manna, that had contracted Great Lakes to do my local delivery. My time window of 5-9pm came and went. No call, no show. Called Manna on that Friday after 9pm. They said that Great Lakes was already closed for the day, but tracking shows my merchandise was on the truck. Well I can see it was on the truck from online tracking, so tell me why I haven't received any updates after my time window. Manna says they will try to contact someone at Great Lakes with an after hours email. Finally get a call from Great Lakes, almost 10pm. Ran behind on other deliveries in the day was the excuse. What I can't figure out is how a company can continue in business if they can't even call to let you know they are not going to be able to do their job. So Great Lakes offers to reschedule next Tuesday. Sorry, not taking work off to sit and wait for the possibility of them showing up. So I told them next Friday. I'll update review after, but so far this experience has been disappointing.
