After the specifications were finalized, they changed the plans without my consent and refused to complete the project as originally promised. They also attempted to pressure me into paying for incomplete work, using statements about their "financial difficulty" to guilt me. As an elderly customer, this behavior felt manipulative and deeply unprofessional. I strongly advise others to get everything in writing and be cautious.

Editing to add actual dates to the events described…read more I will update this rating if we ever get our final report, but the bottom line is we've been waiting close to eight weeks now to get a diagnosis and recommendation on how to resolve the front room of our house, which is apparently breaking off the rest of the house. Longer story: I was excited to work with Bitarchitects - they have great reviews, I appreciate that they are woman-owned, and in our initial conversations, they were so responsive and confident that they had all the necessary in-house expertise to figure out what was happening in the house we just bought. The structural engineer seemed great during the inspection on 9 July - spent lots of time at the house, took all the measurements, answered all my questions. We chatted about the fact that there is this crawl space under the front room that doesn't have an access panel, so you can't get underneath to inspect the stem walls. He told me he would have the report to me in a week. Six weeks later (18 August), we got the report. And the report said. . .we can't diagnose the problem without access to the crawl space under the front room. So question the first - WHY would that conclusion take six weeks? When it was known at the time of their visit? (It was actually known before that - the home inspector had included it in his report, which we had sent Bitarchitects in advance of their visit.) But okay, they said they could send someone out to create an access door to the crawl space, take some pictures, and then we would get a completed report. So that happened a week ago (28 August), and we've heard nothing. Almost eight weeks now since the inspection, meanwhile there are new cracks appearing in the floors and walls. Communication overall has been extremely frustrating. While assuring us that the (first) report was imminent, I was told several times "don't worry, your house is not falling down, you're not in danger." Which is great of course, but doesn't remotely address our concerns. I get answers to maybe 50% of the questions I ask (fairly reasonable questions, like "will cutting a door in our foundation create structural instability down the road?"), if fact, the only time they respond quickly is when they are asking for payment. I am so so disappointed and frustrated at this point, I don't even know what to do.

We were working on a tight timetable, so I was receiving store fixtures while construction was ongoing. Eric and his team were able to work around this without any problems. Second, my initial flooring choice became unavailable between the time I selected it and ordering. When this happened, Eric and I went down to Home Depot together and found another option that looked better, was higher quality, and cost less. I cannot recommend Eric and A&E construction enough! 100% would use again. In fact, I have some upcoming work that I need to do on my home. I bid this job to five other companies, but I'll just be reaching out to Eric directly on that one.

We entered into the Appraisal process with our insurer in April of 2023. When Wayne was hired as our independent appraiser, most of the rebuild had already been completed. The required mitigation and reconstruction back to original specification condition was very complicated due to the structure originally serving as an office building before it was repurposed to luxury condominiums in 2020. Restoration work was well under way when Wayne was hired. Hiring an appraiser at this stage of the process is difficult for any appraiser. But Wayne spent countless hours onsite understanding the scope of the damage, mitigation and rebuild parameters. In addition, his knowledge of the appraisal process and required documentation was impressive. While maintaining complete independence, he guided us throughout the entire process. His effort resulted in an award that provided the association the needed money to restore and repair our homes to exactly the way they existed prior to the damage. Without Wayne's expertise and knowledge, we would have received less than 1/2 of the money from our insurer necessary to make the repairs. We are forever grateful for his hard work and no nonsense approach. They had a relative / friend post a star review. Isn't this odd. Their friend location is in South Carolina. The company responded I had a 4 bedroom house, yet they only "cleaned" (loosely saying the word "cleaned") 2. They arrived a 1:30pm and 3:00pm on the dot. As they were walking out I said did you clean this vinyl floor, the owner said yes. I replied there is no way, this looks the same. He told the lady to go get the swifter, she came in and was doing a half job for less then 5 minutes. I told them that is ok. Furthermore, I should have known they were going to be shady. Before purchasing the Groupon deal I called them and ask when I purchase the deal how soon can you come. The owner said if you purchase through us directly then we can come tomorrow, if you go through groupon it would be a few weeks to a month. I should have went with Groupon at least I would have had some accountable. Actually, I will call Groupon to inform them how this company is undercutting them and being shady.

I had never used a cleaning service before for my house. I did not know what expect. I put a request on Yelp and my request was submitted to 4 different cleaning service companies. Only 2 responded. I filled out the request at 4pm and got a response from this company immediately! They also were available to come next day, that's what I wanted. There was a guy and a girl who showed up ready to work. They took their time and did a GREAT job. A bit pricey so I could not afford s monthly cleaning but maybe once every 4 months. Kept me updated on arrival time. My first experience was good. I will use them again.
