Without Stephanie and her assistant Kathleen, I would have been a complete mess the day of the wedding and things would not have run as smoothly as they did. I have to say I was disappointed to read Iris S. comments on Stephanie. I find it very hard to believe that any of what was written has any merit, but that's my opinion from our experience. She was the first vendor we ever booked, and she is worth every penny and so much more. A month after we got engaged, my fiancé and I decided to try and visit some venues. After visiting seven wedding venues in two days and driving a total of 8 hours back and forth, we decided we can't do this alone, and needed a wedding planner. We chose Janice because of her exceptional background experience and her willingness to customize a package that fit our needs and our budget. Janice is very professional, responds to emails very quickly, which was very important to me, and she's just fun and easy to work with. Janice started us off with a checklist every month that listed things that we should and need to do. Janice helped us find a beautiful venue that fit our required parameters. Without Janice's help, it would be highly unlikely that we would have found Half Moon Bay Golf Links as a venue. It was perfect in the fact that it was by the ocean, had a beautiful backdrop of the Ritz Carlton, and the menu served steak and lobster, which was a must! Not only did Janice help us secure a venue, she also helped us find a DJ and when we decided last minute that we wanted a videographer, she tapped into her extensive network to give us some options within our price range. Janice helped us review all contracts we signed with other vendor which was super helpful because sometimes we would miss details that we would want clarified within the contract. She also negotiated rates on our behalf and saved us thousands of dollars, literally. Janice always had our best interest in mind. Janice was always on top of things and super responsive over emails. We did almost all of our correspondences over email. We met with Janice for the first time during our menu tasting at our venue. She came prepared and full of questions for the venue and took copious notes. After the meeting she followed up with the venue coordinator to nail down the details. Janice sent us a template of a minute-by-minute timeline that served as a way to organized and plan our wedding day. When she first sent it to us, it was one and a half pages. She mentioned that by the time the wedding rolled around, the document would be 10+ pages. It was hard to imagine at first, because we thought how much more details could there possibly be? Little did we know that as we planned and organized our day and all the logistics, the document ended up to be 17 pages long! It literally was a minute by minute break down of our wedding day. We shared it with our family and friends and everyone knew exactly what was going on and when. The father of the bride was so impressed with Janice's professionalism. Our wedding day was a great success and everything went off without a hitch, at least that is how we saw things. If anything did go awry or a miss, we didn't know about it and that was because Janice was on top of everything! She made sure everything and everyone was where they were supposed to be and that our day was flawless. We had many friends come up to us during the reception asking for Janice's contact info, they were all equally amazed by the wonderful work she does. Without Janice, we would not have been able to enjoy our wedding and just be present in the moment. Even after the wedding, Janice sent a friendly email reminding us of things we should take care of, like sending in the marriage certificate and little details on the gifts and cards that people had given us on the day. They were just about to start Luxxe Events and Design and were looking for just a few more events to put under their belts! I am SOOOOOO glad I found them. Even though I had an idea of what I wanted to do (from decorations to food, entertainment etc) I still wanted and needed someone to run it by. These two met with me a month or so prior to the Fabulous & 50 Fiesta to help out with the little details. They collected my vendor list and contacted my vendors prior to the party, they thought of things I never would have thought of to make my party an even bigger hit (salsa lessons at the party!) She set up a meeting early and sent us documents that would help us along the way. She would check in and would open herself up to us if needed. Early on I had mentioned to Angelique that I was planning on doing my own florals to help with my budget and she encouraged me and even sent me recommendations on how I could execute my own wedding florals. I ended up going with the floral wholesale shop she recommended and was so happy with my decision. She also gave us recommendations of other wedding vendors. We ended up going with a recommended photographer as well who was very kind to work with and returned photos promptly. Nikki, a Honey and Twine assistant, went with me to my second rental appointment and was so helpful. Nikki had great insight and was a great advocate to have by my side during the appointment. Honey and Twine sent documents, check lists and timelines that helped me the months leading to the wedding. Angelique and Nikki met with me at my venue (which was my brother's house) and had an initial walk-through. Nikki came a second time as well. We felt they knew the space so well and we're confident that everything would fit into place on the day of. They came to the rehearsal and led it well and let us enjoy time with our family. On the wedding day, Honey and Twine truly shined. There was a large structure to cover that ended up being the background of the head table. It looked so great. All the tables looked perfect and they set up the bar and entrance table so perfectly. Just as every wedding has, there was a small hiccup with our rental restrooms where one of the stalls was unusable and I didn't even know about the problem until after the wedding because they did not want to worry the bride. There were 3 Honey and Twine associates at the wedding that made everything look beautiful, run seamlessly and on schedule. We could not be more grateful for Honey & Twine!

When we started planning our wedding in January 2017, my fiancé and I had absolutely no idea what we were doing, or what we wanted our wedding to look like, and it was so wonderful to have Lexi and Brenda there helping us with every detail. They were knowledgable, patient, and most importantly, totally organized and on top of every detail. They also made sure every choice we made kept us within our budget, and gave some great recommendations for vendors. They always got back to us quickly, and knew the answer to every wedding-related question we asked them, big or small. After 10 months of planning with them, four days before the wedding date we had to move the entire wedding after the fires up in wine country threatened our original wedding venue. Lexi and Brenda were never anything but completely competent and professional during this whole process (I was a disaster). They found a new venue in San Francisco with a similar feeling to our original venue and of a similar cost, and dealt with every single vendor so they all moved to our new location. We had 130 guests coming, a third of whom had flown in from Europe, and I honestly don't know what we would have done without Lexi and Brenda. The actual wedding day itself was executed perfectly. With Brenda there running everything, I didn't have a single thing to worry about, and could just enjoy the entire day and night with all my friends and family (and new husband!). Hiring a planner was the first budgetary choice we made for our wedding, and no question it was the best one we made.
