Hiring Sarah was EASILY the best decision we made for our wedding day! She made sure our wedding day went flawlessly for us, communicated effectively with our entire team of vendors, and handled all my DIY decor with ease. We cannot thank her enough for making our day so perfect, stress-free, and effortless!! I myself am a crafty, detail-oriented artist, so I created a ton of my own artistic centerpieces for our tables (with unique designs for each table), made DIY florals, made my own photobooth backdrop, and made our own activity tables. We even decided to self-deliver cookies and milk tea for our social hour because our chosen milk tea place didn't do catering. When we were looking for a coordinator, it was important to us that they would be able to handle all my oddly specific dreams, accept where we decided to cut corners without pressuring us to spend more money, and execute everything we planned without inhibiting us or telling us things weren't possible. I am SO grateful to say that Sarah was EVERYTHING we were looking for, and more! Our wedding was at Roaring Camp Railroads in May 2022. Sarah is deeply familiar with all of the Roaring Camp policies, how the day goes, the schedule, etc., and was able to answer any and all questions I had about the venue and schedule during our planning call. When I had ideas about ways to shift the schedule around to suit our wants, she was always happy to incorporate them or gently provide a different solution if she had a better workaround. She also came with plenty of her own ideas that my anxiety-brain had not thought of, so that our day would be more anxiety-*free*. Very grateful for that! In the week prior to the wedding, Sarah let us relax by beginning to communicate with the vendors directly without including us in the emails. At first we were a little anxious about it, as we were so used to knowing every little detail, but in hindsight, I'm SO glad that she did this. I really only know how to worry, and it's rather difficult for me to relax, so her approach was a great way for me to start letting go of things and just enjoying each day as it came! On the day of the wedding, Sarah's ease and confidence of handling everything left us to truly enjoy our day without a logistical care in the world. She was such a kind, calm, collected, and happy presence! Everything appeared exactly where it was meant to be like magic - the desserts, the photobooth, the activity tables, the welcome table, all the unique table centerpieces... I admittedly had a LOT of stuff to set up, and a LOT of incredibly specific instructions, and she handled it all PERFECTLY. She let us see the reception hall for a quick reception-first-look, and I just burst into tears of joy, seeing all my hard work and art pieces come to life in the space. It was, hilariously, one of my favorite moments of the day -- and it was all thanks to Sarah! As far as we knew, everything went perfectly throughout the entire day, nobody had any questions for us, everyone knew what to do and where to go, and I 100% know that it went so flawlessly BECAUSE of Sarah's coordination skills. As the bride and groom, we were able to just live in the moment and enjoy every bit of emotion and love and connection that there was to be had. Loadout was extremely smooth as well! She just disappeared with a couple of our designated load-out friends while we relaxed at the firepit and chatted with our remaining guests. This firepit chat is one of our most special memories, and it was directly made possible by Sarah; we didn't have to worry about a single thing as everything was getting packed up. My fiance and I found Sarah (the owner) through Roaring Camp's recommended vendors list. We got married on Sept. 24th 2021. Overall, our experience was amazing. 10/10. Here are some things that stood out to me about Sarah. +Sarah asked for our contracts with our other confirmed vendors and told us she would reply to any questions the vendors had if she already had an answer. She did, and saved us a lot of headaches. +She caught an accounting error with our venue bill. The venue double-charged us for kids meals which would have costed us an extra few hundred $$. +During the wedding she was very vocal to all our guests in directing them to different key areas of our wedding procession. This allowed my wife and I to focus on taking pictures. +She took initiative to help box up our desserts at the end of the evening. Our Perfect Wedding, brought to you by Sarah! Sarah is kind, organized, talented and wonderful and we were so lucky to work with her. Sarah was with us every step of the way, through the uncertainty of the pandemic, to the wedding day of where she made sure everything was packed up. I met with Sarah about 3 times throughout the 2.5 years we worked together. At our final meeting Sarah was incredibly organized, we went through our venue worksheet and she asked all of the important questions. After this meeting we had an incredible Google Sheets document that we used to coordinate the day or timeline, seating arrangements, items to bring etc. The week before the wedding Sarah reached out to ALL of my vendors and extra helper friends that were going to be dropping off for our wedding and my husband and I got to spend our last week before the wedding relaxing and celebrating as we were 100% confident that Sarah would take care of everything! Sarah was with us at our rehearsal and she beautifully orchestrated our wedding party of about 20 people with ease and everyone felt prepared for the day of. The day of the wedding went as smooth as can be! Everyone showed up on time, even the groomsmen! And all the decor was in place making our venue look like a dream. Sarah had provided addresses, maps, and timelines to all important parties. Throughout the day Sarah was like our Fairy Godmother (she even found the lost shoes), she made sure we were hydrated and ate, she popped up just to check in and made sure knew what was coming next. One of my favorite memories was how kind and sweet Sarah was with sending our little flower girls and ring bearers down the aisle. She knelt down to their level and made sure they were holding their little props the right way and she gently sent them off as they laughed and smiled down the aisle. Throughout the day I found that everyone knew right where they were supposed to be and if there were any problems I did not know about a thing, as Sarah made sure she was the contact person the day of. Sarah was with us all day and she made sure at the end of the night that every little thing was packed up and loaded into our designated load-out cars and that we were out by 11pm. We hired Sarah Greathouse to be our Day-Of Coordinator a few months before our wedding on August 21st, 2021, and her service was worth every penny! She was a preferred vendor recommended to us by Diane, who owns the Sequoia Retreat Center in Ben Lomond, and we are SO happy to have had her with us on our big day. I was one of those brides who thought I knew exactly what I wanted and had everything figured out, and I made sure to let her know that all I needed was someone to execute my vision. In reality, I was overly confident, and there were a million little things I hadn't thought about, and SO many details I left to the last minute that Sarah caught before they fell through the cracks. I was initially a bit skeptical about needing a coordinator..."how hard could it be?!", but in last month leading up to the wedding, Sarah helped us make decisions and think of details we never would have considered. We booked her literally at the last minute (5 weeks out) and she immediately started working. After a quick phone call, we felt comfortable and knew she would be a good fit. She was so knowledgeable about our venue (Roaring Camp) and impressed us with her thoroughness at every stage of planning. On the day of the wedding, Sarah completely took all of the stress out of the event. A year ago as we were choosing our coordinator, I remember reading multiple reviews that stated that choosing her was the best choice of the wedding, and I fully agree. Came into the whole wedding planning thing very skeptically. Of all the things we did, Sarah was by far the best decision. She is calming, steered us in the right direction several times, and most importantly is willing to make whatever vision or ideas you have work. On our day Sarah was there from 10am-11pm HUSTLING. Sarah will forever be the hero of my wedding day. The day of my rehearsal, my previously hired day of coordinator completely ghosted me and left me with nobody to set up all my decor on my wedding set to take place the next day. Sarah happened to be at the venue setting up an event and when asked if she'd be willing to take on a whole wedding with less than 24 hours notice, she accepted and instantly made me feel so much better and so relieved. It's hard to put into words how much I appreciated Sarah throughout the weeks leading up and on the day of our wedding at Waterfall Lodge. To say she went above and beyond is an understatement. She spent so much time with us, and even offered to have our favors shipped to her house when they were delayed. She has the BEST demeanor for this job, always joyful and calm. My family and I appreciated her immensely. She read the room so well, ensured that everything went off without a hitch, and helped make sure my husband and I got to eat and drink everything we wanted to. A highlight was making eye contact with her during the speeches and her lifting two new already poured champagne glasses and bringing them to us after we finished our first ones. My husband and I were married on December 3rd, 2016 at the Saratoga Foothill Club and Sarah Greathouse was our day of coordinator for our 130 guest wedding. All I can say is we made MANY choices for our wedding and hiring Sarah was, by far, the best decision we made! She is simply wonderful! After doing our fair bit of research on bridal advice blogs, we discovered the importance of having a coordinator. Trust me, you do not want to be stage-managing on the day of your wedding. I only hired a day-of coordinator at my mom's insistence, and I'm so glad I did, and even more glad we went with Sarah! Our wedding was a three-day event at a summer camp, which takes so much coordination and planning, but Sarah thought of everything! We first met with her several months before the wedding to give her an idea of what we were looking for and so she could make sure we had all the big pieces in place, and then - being a day-of coordinator and not a wedding planner - we picked things up again three weeks out. We did a full walk-through of the venue talked through every detail of the day - from important moments in the ceremony I didn't know we needed to plan for, to little details that would have been disasters to forget like bottle openers. On the day of the wedding, it was *so nice* to have Sarah helping. Not only were our guests talking about how fabulous our wedding was but they were all commenting on how amazing our wedding planner was. My now husband, Troy Virostko, and I were floating care-free in a magical wedding cloud while Sarah zipped around to make sure everything, I mean everything, was taken care of. She didn't just make sure things were taken care of, she made sure they were PERFECT! I am a planner myself so It was hard for me at first to let go of all the details. I am so type A. When I started planning my wedding I didn't think I would need much help on the day of, but as the day approached and the stress started building I decided to hire Sarah (about one month prior to the big day). I am forever grateful to Sarah, the wonderful soul who made my day an absolute dream! I thought I was organized, but she brought so much more to the table then I could have imagined, and was so calm about the whole thing. Her demeanor is exactly what you want on the day of- calm, reassuring, upbeat, but you know she is on top of everything. I even had the venue comment that my wedding was the smoothest one they have had there, and I think the majority of that credit goes to Sarah ;-) Also, when we were lucky enough to get her on board with us, I really didn't expect the level of detail and knowledge that puts into her preparation.
