If I could rate zero stars I would. I should start with the…read morefact that I have only left reviews for places that I absolutely adore- look at my profile and see I have never once complained about a clinic before. I wish I could say I was being dramatic- as this "fine office" made sure I felt "dramatic" before finally leaving after a two hour appointment. I have given them chance after chance- hoping and praying something would finally help. Firstly, I have driven my aunt to excel pain and spine for years and she has seen excellent care from Dr. Patel. He is kind, has a well developed listening ear, advocates for his patients, and is all around an excellent dr and man. He goes as far as to call my aunt "Aunt F****" and always greets her with a warm smile and a hug. I brag on him so much to distinguish him from this place and highlight how he is separate from this. I was told I had to see a PA my first visit and could follow up with him later. The first Pa I saw was kind, compassionate and explained everything thoroughly. I did leave crying only because I would be waiting two weeks for injections and two weeks after that for my f/u after already dealing with this pain for months. Also my kidney levels are off ( my creatinine is high) because of how many NSAIDs and tylenols I've been taking to try and cope. I did mention that the ER doc I saw was extremely compassionate as she had dealt with the exact same thing and had to have surgery for it. She even mentioned that nobody truly understood what it was like until they experienced it and that she understood that there was a struggle and stigma around this type Of pain. She advocated for me heavily and prescribe pain medication to help me so far. It was the only thing that could help me get out of bed only because it gave me just enough relief for me to do my dishes without tears, run to the store (with someone to carry things), go to physical therapy or my doctors appointments without too much assistance. She let me know I would be eligible for those (very much only a possibility and only if the injections didn't work). I said absolutely i don't want to need them I just don't know how to make it to that apt without being able to take NSAIDs or anything. She prescribed the meloxicam for emergencies, but unfortunately it isn't worth it often to take. I understand my youth and that I'm too young to be facing this but I am and my symptoms are real. The last thing I would like to do at my age is sit hours in drs offices, or on phones with them. I want to be at my job that I love, going out with friends on the weekends, or just to get out of bed without tears in my eyes. Instead, I'm having to ask for help for the simplest of tasks, sleep my life away, face criticism and accusations most appointments, and constantly fight for myself and my health every day. The wait for the injections was unbearable. I called a week after the apt and begged for new meds or something to help. The said it would be no problem to up my pregabalin and to change my muscle relaxer. The walgreens it was sent to would not take my insurance so I had to call and request it to be sent to a new one on a Friday. Never received them. Finally the injection appointment I had so desperately looked forward to came, they were extremely painful but went smoothly. The dr even stated that while I took them well, he could see and feel how much pain I was in. He told me I was strong and did great and to ice it. I mentioned the meds to him when leaving, he said no problem he'd fix it. A few days goes by and I never get my meds. I say to heck with it I'm already suffering I can't keep begging them, it takes too long to get an answer anyways. Plus when you're throwing up from getting out of bed too fast, you don't have too much energy to wait on hold for an hour. So I keep going, trying to stay positive. I'm waiting each day, praying, begging God to let them work. Each day I was disappointed. I finally see my pcp who finds that the meds were sent to Walgreens but never sent to Publix. I say don't worry I'll call Walgreens then. Walgreens states they have nothing in their system. I have to call my pcp's emergency line to have them filled and as the angel she is, she fills them. Dr. Jassal went above and beyond my expectations because he did not quit on me. Instead he did extensive research to find a treatment to relieve the constant pain I was having from the nerve damage. Additionally, his entire team,(from checking in to checking out), is just world class as well. If you need a doctor to help you with your pain, I would highly recommend Dr. Jassal and his team!

Never told me I could try something else when I kept telling them it wasn't helping at all. Thankfully my son searched on the internet and found this doctor. He takes his time and listens to you. He's been slowly decreasing my Morphine Pump weekly. Told me there are other drugs her can fill my Pump that are non narcotic drug and if one doesn't work he can try others. Was trying to get my Pump moved from my back to the front. Waited for over three months to get a neurosurgeon to do it. Never called me back. Second visit to Dr JASSAL he scheduled it two weeks later. He is well educated and knowledgeable about pain. I highly recommend this doctor for pain management. Look no further and make an appointment to see him. I have another three decreases to go. Hope to get out of this dark tunnel and see the light. Haven't been able to do anything because of the pain. He's been great so far and no problem getting in to see him weekly. I would rate him 5 stars ***** . The receptionist and staff are very cordial, sympathetic, and friendly.

They are rude and seemed bothered that they have to help us. They are pissed that kisosk doesn't do more of their job. So maybe find friendly people again. Next quote making up excuses for me to come in 2 times a month I don't need to see a glorified CNA to try to push on my pain points. I have another appointment next week they are not touching me!!!!!! No more back injection they make me sick it's not the numbing medicine (you know you don't give us that much frankly I get more at the dentist) I will get neck shots if a real doctor gives it to me. You guys need to figure out some of your problems

Absolutely the worst experience Ive had with any Doctors office…read more 1. My Doctor is Dr Okafor and through 4 times I have not once seen him even though he is who I was referred to from hospital and has signed off collecting thousands from insurance without seeing his patient. 2. There has been an issue every single time Ive been here. First time I arrived 45 mins early and they forgot about me in the back after I had already waited for 45 mins as it was PAST my appt time. They also charged me for Xrays I didn't receive from them and I had to get that refunded on my next visit when each drive is an hour for me. Last time I was here the entire building area inside smelled like smoke and it just seemed like every single person besides the two from the carribean hated being here that worked here. 3. They blow you up about your appt time but then won't call you or make sure you're authorization goes throigh prior to you coming in which is completely backwards. Its your job to complete authorization then schedule your patients not we come in just to have you tell us oh hey we have to try again another day. You all have phones and blow us up so call us to tell us we need to reschedule. Common sense. Dr Okafor you should be ashamed at how your practice is being carried out wasting patients time, charging thousands of dollars and not even seeing your patients. I will sadly never come back and will never recommend anyone here.

Dr. Templin, You…read morecalled me when I had just about given up. My pain was excruciating. I had several issues with my cervical spine, which had begun (almost) surgery, until I flatlined. That was the first part of Sept. I told the doctor I had also lost my daughter after that failed surgery. My only child. I had been completely stressed out and my pain just kept getting worse. Doctor, you told me to write down the name of a book and the authors name, and I did. Back In Control by David Branscome. I was able to get it free on audible and started listening that very day. I couldn't tear myself away. When he spoke of the couple who were tested for their responses to a couple of questions, when the woman spoke of her pain, the sensors noted anger in the husband, which made the wife feel more pain because she knew he didn't believe her or acknowledge her pain. It was a vicious cycle. That was me and my husband! I kept listening! Everyone was simply tired of hearing me complain. No one wanted to listen to it, see it, be any part of it. I became angry. At first. This made me stop and think...ok, it's me. It's not anyone but me. Dr. Templin, I want to thank you, and I wish I could fly to where you are and thank you personally, but truly, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. I wish you were still here. I think you saved my life. Namaste, Illana Betz

I was so thankful for the detailed explanation Steve gave me of what was going on with my shoulder. He tested my range of motion before he treated me, and when he tested it after treatment, I could not believe the difference (and I am not exaggerating). I've had limited utility of my right arm due to this injury for 5 months and I was able to raise my arm straight above my head for the first time since it happened. I know this was just my first treatment but he made me feel much more hopeful for the possibility of my shoulder finally being able to be healed. So glad to have met Steve, now I have to find someone like him for in CA.
