If there's one thing I've learned is that back pain is very specific and not a one-size-fits-all solution. Dr. Prusinski was extremely caring, knowledgeable, and thorough. I greatly appreciated his measured approach to dealing with my issues. It took multiple visits and increasing levels of treatments but in the end he changed my life. It's not that I'm healed but I have now gone several more years without surgery and can do so many things that I avoided for many years. It's been 18 months since my treatment and I continue to slowly improve. I highly recommend Dr. Prusinski.

Then I released my begging and desperate pleas for an ASAP appointment - I was enduring a lot of pain and while I did know that I needed to see a Neurologist, I did not know that he would be the ONLY doctor I needed to see. I have seen a number of different medical personnel over the past 3 days, and hardly any of them listened to what I had to say. Dr. Henkel was magnificent. He actually took the time to listen to my description of my painful symptoms and did not dismiss my questions with esoteric explanations, as many other physicians have done. He involved me in his diagnostic thought process as he narrowed the medical possibilities. He took the time to examine the radiological images that I brought with me to the appointment and shared his professional thoughts on the images while allowing me to view them side-by-side. Dr. Henkel treated me like an educated human being, and did not dismiss my concerns at all. Together we were able to discern the particular disorder that I have been enduring for the past several days. In sum, I am grateful to have met Dr. Henkel. Credit is also due to Neurological Specialties personable nursing staff, as my particular nurse was very funny and comforting during the initial data collection process. It was also nice to pay the copay at the END of the visit - many offices are forcing patients to pay the fee before they've even been treated. Neurological Specialities as a whole is an excellent facility.

I was deeply disappointed by how this healthcare company handled its patients and staff before and…read moreafter bankruptcy. After years of building trust within the community, the company went bankrupt and sold to CenterWell Senior Primary Care, leaving many longtime patients -- especially veterans relying on Tricare as their primary insurance -- feeling abandoned. Veterans who served this country deserved continuity of care and transparency, not sudden disruption and uncertainty. Many patients had established relationships with their doctors for years, only to find themselves scrambling to locate new providers and navigate insurance confusion during an already stressful transition. What makes this even more frustrating is that public statements during the sale process suggested patients would continue to have access to their insurance coverage under the new ownership structure. Yet many patients later experienced uncertainty or loss of access depending on their plan participation and contract negotiations. The bankruptcy itself was tied to massive Medicare billing discrepancies reportedly totaling hundreds of millions of dollars. Unfortunately, it feels like the people who paid the price were the patients -- particularly seniors and veterans who depended on stable healthcare access. Healthcare organizations should prioritize patient care and loyalty during transitions, not leave vulnerable populations feeling discarded. I sincerely hope veterans and affected patients receive the support and continuity of care they deserve moving forward.

He is a consummate professional and has dedicated his life to not only Veterans but all his patients. He served the VA Orlando as the Chief of Neurology for over 14 years and has now gone into private practice but not without ensuring he is still contracted with the VA as a community care provider. He is also a professor at UCF and works closes with the RosKamp Institute in Sarasota ensuring Veterans exposed in military service get the help they need. He believes in patient care FIRST as he spends a significant amount of time getting to know his patients, examining and evaluating them for ongoing care. So many times in the medical community you are made to feel terrible about whatever is going on or you are gaslit by the doctors you turn to for help. Dr Hoffmann provides individualized care, treatment, and compassion in all that he does. He is truly a HERO among those who seek out his help. He advocates and goes the extra mile for his patients to ensure they can live their best lives. While the VA throws pharmaceuticals at Veterans like myself, Dr Hoffman looks for alternative ways to manage physical symptoms, and pain. He is a wealth of knowledge and brilliant minded while remaining truly genuine and down to earth in wanting to help all who seek his care. In my lifetime I don't think I have met a more caring, compassionate human. His knowledge and education are impressive and his patient care comes before anything else. He is the Neurologist you want, you have now found, and you will thank me for after you meet him. Go to his website BrainBeatNeurology.com and READ his philosophy on patient care.
