I *really* didn't like dentists before I met Dr. Cohen because my teeth had been treated carelessly by the dentists before him. But ask me now about going to the dentist and I'll say I love it. I mean, like everyone, I still hate getting my teeth cleaned and the terrifying sound of a drill against my tooth, but overall Dr. Cohen and his team make sitting in the dentist chair the best possible experience. I'm mainly updating my review to say this is still an awesome dental office. I now live in Dearborn but drive out of my way to have my dental needs taken care of in Wyandotte. I recently had to have 2 more crowns done (sucks, I know!) and they were both great experiences. Dr. Cohen and his amazing dental assistants always make sure to explain what he's doing, make sure I can't feel anything and that I'm as comfortable as possible. They even take care to put a moisturizer on your lips to make sure your lips and corner of your mouth don't get cracked during a procedure and give you sunglasses to keep the bright light (and water!) out of your eyes. His office still offers the amazing paraffin wax treatment, along with a nice, heavy shoulder massage wrap. They also have an iPad to play with while waiting for the doctor to come in, how cool is that? In addition, I noticed they made a few upgrades to the way they examine your teeth in regard to total body health. Again, if you're looking for an awesome, tech-savvy, considerate dentist with assistants and staff that truly care about you, please consider Dr. Cohen in Wyandotte. I hated dentists before I started going there but now, I can say: "Yep, I love going to the dentist."

After having issues all my life getting quality restorations (fillings and crowns) I found this place. Friendly staff, great quality restorations. Silber's assistant Sharon is so good at making temporary crowns, I'd be inclined to leave it in, if not for the material and cement not being permanent, lol! I've had small issues with repairs not holding up (rare occasion) but I attribute that to not wearing a bite guard at night (I'm a grinder) and if you have crowns that's a must! And everyone's mouth is different, we all chew differently. Your teeth also move around throughout your life (muscles and tendons reposition and re-tension). Plus, the deeper the filling, more likely for issues. And the more times a tooth has been worked on, it becomes more sensitized and the work becomes more complicated. He never pushes for more work than is necessary. He's made sure I'm pain free in any case. Even gave me a free replacement crown when it cracked (I have a heavy bite and wasn't wearing bite guard at that time). If you ever have discomfort after a restoration, just go back and they will do their best to make it right for free.

After the exam, Dr Reema reviewed the x-rays with me and pointed out exactly what needed to be done. She let me know what work she could do and what problems needed referral to an endodontist. At no point did I feel pressured into getting questionable/unnecessary dental work. She listened to my input and concerns sincerely and took adequate time to answer all my questions. Professional and personable. The staff seems very competent as well. X-rays were done painlessly without the bulky awkward cardboard pieces to bite down on, the cleaning was deep and thorough but not painful or excessively long. The front office staff handled my paperwork and insurance details while quickly addressing my questions. I was also provided a itemized cost estimate with lower prices than provided by my last dentist. The office is clean and everyone is friendly and easy to communicate with. During my visit, there was confusion about my X-rays, and I was told that a tooth was missing when it clearly was not. Instead of taking the time to properly review the information or resolve the issue professionally, the situation turned into an argument. What made things worse was the behavior of the office manager, who was extremely disrespectful during the conversation. Rather than addressing my concerns calmly or trying to correct the mistake, she hung up the phone on me, which I found very unprofessional. Overall, the staff appeared confused and not on the same page, and it felt like no one really knew what was going on. Communication between the team and with patients needs serious improvement. I would not recommend this office based on my experience. Patients deserve clear information, respectful communication, and professionalism -- unfortunately, that was not what I received here.
