I had the great opportunity of having my birthday party here. Overall everything was exceptional. Customer Service. I actually had trouble with contacting a few galleries about a paint party, but definitely no issues here. They contacted me back in 24 hours or my request for information. They then went to answer everything I needed to know. In addition, they were able to make a personalized theme for me and make it easy for all my guest to pay online. They were wonderful! On the day of the event the crew helped the guest and gave a great experience for everyone getting their paint on. They were great at communication and friendly! Atmosphere. My birthday theme was street art, this location definitely went right along with it. Everything about this location is contemporary and just fresh and creative scenario. We had access to two rooms. The room where the paint happened (which could accommodate around 20 to 25 individuals) and the front room to set up for your food, drinks, and just having a more party vibe as well. It was wonderful. For this location all it takes is for you to book your event in advance with a down payment of 105, which is the payment for 3 guest. Individual guest, with a minimum of 10 is $35/each, which you and/or guest can purchase in advance or at the event. This pays for instruction, canvas, and paint. For events you are allowed to bring in your own alcohol and food and set up any way you like! This location is all about customization and I love it. They also allow you to pick your music theme... I gave them a genre and they seriously channeled every song I love! They are musical mind readers and gave that extra touch I loved. Parking. I actually was concerned about parking for my guest at first, being so close to the French Quarters on a Friday night, but it actually turned out to not be a problem. Everyone was able to find nearby street parking and paid parking. So it shouldn't be too many issues in that area. I would definitely do more events in this location. They are great for small to medium groups for different type of events, including paint parties for kids.

First off you guys you have to find parking. But don't let that one bad issue turn you away from this fun experience. Yes, it was an experience. I really enjoyed myself. The vibe is really positive and fun. The owner was very welcoming and he understood that everyone there were first time painters. He gave us kind of a mini-tutorial about using the different types of brushes and the effects they have on your drawing and the canvas itself. I really appreciated that he was willing to sit through and give everyone advice when needed on how to perfect their Masterpieces. Even though there were alcohol and food many of us still got our masterpieces finished.I felt like a real artist!!! I am looking forward to going back in the new year because I had too much fun!!

Celebrated my birthday with a private paint party at Paint and Jrink and had the best time! The studio is very inviting and can accommodate your party comfortably, with plenty of room to personalize your party with food, drinks and decorations. They also have a Bluetooth sound system, so you can prepare the perfect playlist for your party. Our instructor Jerin was awesome! He kept us laughing and gave us great advice on how to paint our canvases. He made sure that our work came out nice. If you're looking for a fun way to celebrate a special event and have something memorable to bring home, this is the place! I can't thank them enough for making my birthday experience so great!

I am one of the troop leaders for our Girl Scout troop. As such I am always on the look out for activities that our girls can participate in and love. I contacted Paint and jRink seeking a session for our girls and they were happy to do it. The location is easy to find, the neighborhood is safe, and above all the actual gallery is endearing. We were greeted by smiling faces, a sunlit room, and jazz music. I had chatty, shrieking girls and neither instructor seemed jarred by it. I found that the sketches that were picked and the pace of the class were age appropriate for the different grade levels and age ranges that make-up our multi-level troop. Overall, I was impressed with the environment of the gallery and it's adaptability to our needs. I plan to book adult events with them as should you.

Our steps throughout the session.. and look what a great job we both did!

This place is AWESOME! I went for the first time with my girlfriend and two bottles of white, and I'll be damned if I don't start doing this regularly! The artists leading our class, Jarron and Nicholas, were so friendly and helpful. Even though I am the most unartistic person I know, they helped us through step by step, and I am amazed with my finished piece! I recommend this place to anybody. There was even a little kid in our class; the artists gave him his own sketch and I could tell he had a blast! Not only did I create something I never imagined I could in million years, but it actually has prompted me to pick up the brush at home and see what I can do when left to my own devices! This is my new favorite place to kill time on the weekend, and I absolutely can not wait to go back again and again!

    My masterpiece!

This was a duplicate review so I thought I would edit it as I couldn't figure out how to delete it My group was 5 people. My 68 year old mom who has never painted before, my teenage daughters, 13&16, my foreign exchange student, Guido age 17 from Italy (yes, that's actually his name). Everyone had a great time!!! If I did this again, I have spent some time in Merigny. I think this area had a fun Bohemian vibe and is under appreciated

4 capital letters...BYOB! Drinks and snacks! They also have cups because of course you are going to forget them. The staff are incredibly nice and you can paint whatever you want, let your creative alcohol infused juices flow. They are just there to guide you! A friend and I went to an open session they have a few times a month and obviously we brought a shopping back of goodies. I love how it's in an authentic art studio. There is paint spatter all over the place! Even on some of the GORGEOUS paintings on the walls. This was a really therapeutic and relaxing experience. It wasn't just the bottle of champagne making me feel so good leaving Paint & jrink.

YES YES YES! We totally enjoyed ourselves today! I am ready to go back, I want to have my birthday here! Thank you all so much for such a great experience. :-)

We had an awesome time! Jerin was a phenomenal teacher and very personable. He cracked a few jokes which loosened up us all as well. Very attentive and helpful to us who may not be the best painters or creative. Everything was ready when we arrived and started on time. We enjoyed ourselves and would definitely come back!

I have to say that this was one of thee worst Paint and Jrink events I've ever been to. I was calling the number because I was running late, traffic was not the best and I couldn't find the place. I received no answer and when I walked in- I was just glanced at and the painter continued the paint. His little helper didn't even acknowledge me and I had to walk up to her to ask for supplies and help. And she was like oh ok-- yeh yeh ok sure and disappeared and it took someone else to notice their behavior to speak up and say excuse me they're missing supplies and canvas.. so the painter says .. oh yeh she's getting them.. so my question is why couldn't she tell me that when I was talking to her? Thennnnn I had to ask for assistance b/c him and the helper was just kicking it up In the back laughing while he's smoking his vape.. the only time they were the most engaged with us was when it was time to leave. This by far is the worst Paint and Jrink I've ever been to. EVER!!!!

I have been to other paint and wines before, but I must say I had an amazing time at Paint and Jrink! My friend and I caught a deal on Groupon and decided to use it. When we walked in we were greeted and asked to sit where we wanted to. There was jazz music playing, which created a very relaxed environment. We actually finished up before two hours. I would recommend Paint and Jrink to anyone. Our instructor Jamie was very patient and helped us get through the process. And I can't forget the janitor (lol)! Please promote him, he is has a great eye for art and he helped bring my art to life! The sangria began to take over...I will be back, we are actually planning a girls night out. Can't wait to go back!

*This review is for Sarah's weekly session at Eye Street Studios*…read more Like Mikkela, I've been fortunate enough to have had the chance to attend one of Sarah's open studio figure drawing classes. Just not as an artist. From the other end. As a model. A nude model, to be precise. It was something I was contemplating on doing for a while, for a variety of reasons. At the recommendation of Mikkela, I called Sarah a while ago to see if she needed anyone extra to model for her. A week later, I got the fateful call: the regularly-scheduled model couldn't make it that night, and was I available? My chest started to get a little tight as I realized this was precisely where the rubber hit the road. There's no turning back now. The Art world needs me. I was Lloyd Bridges as Izzy Mandelbaum in Seinfeld: It's Go Time! I've always held a certain appreciation for artists, not least of all due to the fact that I could probably screw up drawing stick figures if I applied myself and put the time and effort into it. For me to be able to see people with actual artistic talent that I can only dream about was a real mind rush. I was really impressed by the talent level. I truly wish I had one iota of talent the artists possessed that night. People come prepared to draw whatever strikes their fancy, using a variety of methods. Some painted full body portraits. Others focused on certain body parts. Some used acrylics, others sketched in charcoal. Sarah, to my surprise, drew a head portrait. She was able to recreate the exact same type of poise and demeanor that I literally dream about. I kid you not, I was almost tempted to ask her to paint a blue tunic, medals, saber, and diagonal red sash, as the exact visage she captured belonged out of a Napoleonic cavalry portrait. Watching everyone's progress was amazing: after each 20 minute pose, I put on a robe and took a 10 minute break, and I had the chance to check out everyone's work. To be able to see everyone's work go from start to fruition was simply amazing. The atmosphere was really chill and laid back. Like Mikkela says, the noise level can be loud, but the band in the room next door was quite talented, and it definitely helped me focus. A word on modeling: there's actual work involved. You can't just sit on a stool and daydream for several hours. There's a lot of endurance, patience and mind over matter required. It's not for everyone, and it really takes a modicum of professionalism. I can honestly say I was sore afterwards, but I wouldn't trade the experience for anything. Sarah and her fellow artists are total professionals and really made me feel at ease. The verdict: $10 for open studio figure drawing at her Eye Street location lets you practice art in a chill setting with like-minded professionals. For such a small investment, you really can't beat the experience!

The artist who arranges this, Sarah, is really nice, and she also teaches art, if you wish for instruction. For my liking, for $10, I enjoy a chance to paint the figure! The open figure sessions are at the Eye Street Studios, 443 Eye St. NW, near Gallery Place/Chinatown. It's a really relaxed atmosphere. A band practices in the next space (so free concert), and there are all levels of art and interests. Different people show up every time, although some of us are showing up every time! Next time is May 7th. So if you want to re-awaken the artist and practice your figure drawing or painting, this is the place! Be prepared that the noise/music is loud (although the band is good).

I was interested in selling the pair for what I thought was a good price, when the owner said she would buy them as is for more than my offer. She gave me the option for the shop to repair them, (at a very low cost) and try to sell them myself at retail value in my online shop. Note: ACTUAL RETAIL VALUE WAS 10x GREATER THAN I EXPECTED. In addition to it all, the offer still stood for them to be purchased by the shop and be resold in the window if I was unable to sell them online.
