The painters were a little messy and removed the floor coverings too soon so some paint got on my floors and cabinets but they were able to remove most of it. Both contractors use rollers and brushes, not sprayers. Both contractors estimated to finish in approximately 7 days. The difference in price was amazing: Esteban quoted us exactly half "the other guy". Esteban is an affable, joyous man who takes great pride in his work. He has a two-man crew whom he treats very well. They arrived at our house at precisely 8 am every morning and worked until around 4 pm each afternoon, with a much-deserved 1-hour lunch break under our trees. They worked quickly and efficiently. They removed and reinstalled all exterior hardware (e.g., lighting fixtures, wall-mounted television, outdoor speakers). They were very clean. Each night, they tucked their equipment on our patio. They made no mistakes, caused no damage to our home, and left our home looking better, much better, than before. Most impressively, they finished in 4 days: 3 less than estimated! We had decided to paint our home exterior as it had been about 10 years since the last painting…read more Not knowing who to use, we used Angie's List and the Neighborhood app. In all, we probably had about 8 companies come out and give us estimates. Estimates were all over the place, but we went with the company we had the most faith in. Texas Paint Brush, owned by Will, was our pick. Will came out and listened to us about our project and what we wanted to accomplish. In the end, Will exuded sincerity and honesty and won out. He gave us suggestions on how best to accomplish what we wanted and also how we could save a little money. Will picked which one of his crews he would use on the project and it ended up being Randy Z. and Randy's wife. When they came out to start, we were really impressed with their performance and their personalities. Our house was not an easy project. The main part of the house is 2 story, while the garage and the master suite are 1 floor. Exterior walls are rock, while the gables are Hardie board. Getting to the top of the 2 story gables is about 30 feet. In addition, we have porches on both downstairs and upstairs and on both sides of the house. The post, railings, etc. are all cedar. Additional painted area included our deck and barn. Randy showed us the plan on how they would attack the project. Then they were ready to start. With a holiday falling during the time they worked on our project, it extended the project to about a week to complete. After completion, Randy walked us through all they had done. A couple of minor blemishes were noticed and taken care of immediately. Will came by the next day to make sure everything was completed to our satisfaction. Will I use this company again? Definitely, I already told Will that we will paint the interior next year. Also, we told Will that we definitely want to use Randy and his wife on the next job:-)
