A good and fun time!…read more The Paint & Sip Studio is a very unique place to take someone out on a date or to just go out with your mom or friends. The basic idea is pretty straight forward, you walk in, find an empty seat with a blank canvas and set up shop. There is a period before the class starts where they encourage you to fill up a wine glass (or two) and then the class begins. The teacher then guides you step by step as you attempt to recreate the chosen painting for the night. I had a few glasses of wine and decided to go completely rogue with my own painting which was actually encouraged. The drinks are fairly expensive but nothing above the norm for the area (about $5 a drink.) They serve wine and beer only with some small appetizers that you can go up and grab any time during the class. The crowd was very diverse but fun. There were blind dates, work outings and birthday parties all with the same intention of fun. At the end of the night your painting dries and they send you stumbling on your way with a painting and a smile. It's been very busy so far and I've been seeing groups of people walking around with fresh paintings every weekend. I hope that Paint & Sip survives! Go help them out and have some fun!

The entire class was about 2-2.5 hours depending on how long you took to add some finishing details and everything was provided from paint, canvas, cups, paintbrushes. You're allowed to bring any sort of drinks and snacks which was a lot of fun. They rotate which paintings they do and post it on the website as well and it's fun to just come and pint even if you're not going to follow the template! It is a small space, but they have room in the back for birthday parties and classes. If you are looking for something to do with your kids, taking them here are let them loose on a ceramic mug or tile trivet. It is affordable, you buy the piece, then they let you paint it, and you pay a flat fee to have to fired and pick it up later. There supplies are limited, they carry mostly beading and jewelery supplies, but some paint and some scrap booking stuff. The owner, Jackie, is very sweet and helpful, and so is the rest of the staff.
