I scored a good deal on Groupon, picked up a bottle of wine, and we headed to the studio on a Friday night. We got to use the airbrush and even spray paint on our master pieces this time. And, as always, Alex made the night fun, engaging, and creative, and we all ended up with a great painting of happy little trees to take home and brag about. Now, can I remember everything we did? She scheduled four hours of lessons on short notice, helped us choose a dance style, and then did an amazing job training us. The lessons were fun and low-pressure, and we learned enough in four hours to feel confident and put on a good show for our family and friends. We were *very* happy with the entire process.

I was given a lot of individual attention and instruction as Im not a very good dancer. I do feel that I was not meeting the expectations of my instructor and that I was simply not a good fit for this studio. If you go to this studio you should perhaps have thick skin and understand the expectations are high. The group is also small and I honestly felt like an outsider. That being said, this is what happened that has left me so upset with my final experience with Blue Moon Haven. I accidentally took someones boots after class and left mine. When I found out, I was unable to drive at the time and asked the person to come to my house (less than 3 miles away) and get them. When they arrived I brought the boots out to them with a fresh baked cinnamon roll, tea, and an appology. It was a honest mistake and I thought it was settled. A few days later Dana messaged me and treated me like a criminal and inconsiderate person. I was mortified! Honestly, I felt like I was back in school and being picked on. If this is such a huge matter then they should have lockers available to students. Otherwise we could just be gracious and accept accidents happen. I am very sorry for the accident, but felt that the treatment I recieved was not deserved. If you are new to dance and sensitive like myself then you should probably go elsewhere. I changed my review to 2 stars because after sleeping on it I do feel I need to express that I did gain a love of dance...even though I'm not very good at it and they did work hard to teach me. Regarding the situation with the boots and how it was handled though, it was extremely unprofessional and very hurtful to me personally.

It's a wonderful way to socialize with other toddlers and parents too. I have seen an improvement in the way she plays with others since coming here to dance. She gets excited to go to Tutu class! The instructors are phenomenal with little dancers and meet them where they are. There is no pushing no drilling... just playfulness and inclusiveness. And it's incredible to see what young kids pick up on when they're not being pushed. My daughter does pliés, passés, and pirouettes in the kitchen daily and even says their names correctly! This is definitely a special place where they encourage fun and creativity. It's so playful and cute. Plus the owners of the studio truly care about you and your child's experience.
