Painted Dreams Farm is my happy place. I'm a senior rider and dressage student there, for almost 10 years. PDF introduced me to the equine love of my life, a lovely paint gelding that takes good care of me and teaches me how to think like a horse. This barn is very special. The trainers are very encouraging, there is no drama, and no snobbery. It is clean and the horses are very well cared for. The lesson horses are safe and full of personality. Maria, the owner, has a big heart for her students and her animals. My daughter and grandchildren also enjoy riding here. It's a great place for everyone. read more

This is THE place to go if you are looking for safe and well-cares for horses and ponies, excellent and knowleadgeable instructors who are able to work with all riding abilities from beginner to advanced, and lovely indoor and outdoor facilities. I searched high and low for this type of barn and I am so grateful to have found Painted Dreams. I've only had one lesson here (and this was over a year ago) but I figured I could still chime in because no one else had left a review! This place is extremely well managed and the horses & ponies are taken care of properly. They have tons of tack to make sure everything fits both rider and horse (ie when you're tacking up there are at least 2 options out of their probably around 20 saddles that fit that horse & you choose based on your size). I rode with my friend who had been there before in a semi-private lesson and we got to rock out jumping either 2'3 or 2'6 (it's been a while...). The instructor was very knowledgeable and immediately picked up on style differences between my friend & myself (she grew up riding hunters while I started out in showjumping) and worked that into the lesson. I had a wonderful time and I really just keep looking for a reason to go back - if only it weren't so far from me! read more

This place is fantastic. My 3 kids have been coming here for years now. They started in the summer camp program and it is their favorite 3 weeks of summer. The instructors both for camp and private lessons are ever so patient. The Owner is amazing. Safety is Paramount and a top priority . My kids have learned so much here responsibility and confidence to name a couple. If you want a great place to learn to ride how to care for horses in a clean well kept facility that teaches responsibility safety fun and foster a love of horses at a good price. We've been taking our daughter to horseback riding lessons at Painted Dreams for a nearly a year and those have been fantastic. So it wasn't too much of a leap to have her 6th birthday party there. We had extremely high expectations, and they exceeded them. We had 10 people (plus parents) and they managed the group perfectly. Everyone was busy doing something and counselors were on hand for any additional help the kids may have needed. They split the 10 into three groups. One group was riding, another was doing a craft/keepsake, and the others were in the barn grooming a pony. I even saw one of the counselors drop a handful of dirt on the pony to give the next group something to brush off the pony. All the kids enjoyed riding. For the smaller ones (we had as young as 3 riding) they had a parent walking alongside while the counselor held the lead line and controlled the pony. Others were able to ride and get basic instruction. My daughter, since she was experienced and the counselors knew her, was able to ride without a lead line and show off for her friends. As the birthday girl, she was also allowed to be in any group she wanted at any time. That basically meant she spent a lot of time riding. It's a few weeks later and I'm still hearing about the party from her friends. I think it may end up being an annual event for as long as she is having a "friends" party. read more

This place is adorable for a different type of birthday party! Especially if your little ones like horses! It is on a BEAUTIFUL property - huge red barn that looks like it should be in a painting. The actual horse lesson takes place in the barn which is indoor and perfect if it happens to rain on your event day. There are picnic tables to set up your party decorations - we could have used more table space but we made do. Maria is wonderful and was really nice to all of the kids. There are these adorable dogs that roam around and let the kids pet them. The bathroom is a port-a-potty so be prepared for that - you are on a farm!!! They also have the kids paint a horse shoe which is a cute craft after they are done the horse lesson and grooming. Only great things to say about this place! read more

Very disappointed in riding lessons. Very disorganized. Younger instructor, Heather not good at communicating. Cancelled 3 lessons with very short notice. 1 hour lesson started late (30 minutes!) and my child did not receive adequate time riding. Moving to a new farm. read more

We recently held a horseback riding birthday party and we were very disappointed with the event. After paying an excessive premium price, the farm owners handed our group over to a troop of unpaid child labor for we were "encouraged" to tip because the farm wasn't paying them. They left/allowed multiple service vehicles to park in the childrens' picnic area (a broken down grooming van and tractor), the port-a-pottys were outright filthy and to top it off the owner of the farm made a public scene by being verbally abusive in front of guests. Very clear that the owners of this farm view parties as a money grab and you are not terribly welcome on their property. The abusive behavior by the owner over a vehicle driving 10 mph in his "illegal" posted 5 mph zone on his property was extremely inappropriate and put a damper on day that should have been one filled with memories. read more

My daughter has been riding at Painted Dreams Farm for over five years and she absolutely loves it. The owner is extremely friendly, caring and hard- working as are all of the staff we've come in contact with. I can't say enough great things about her trainer who instills a sense of confidence in her week after week in a positive, fun and challenging environment. The barn is clean and there are horses for all levels of riding. I've seen adult through children ride and enjoy their lessons there. In the winter, there is an indoor heated seating area and in nice weather, the outdoor ring is surrounded by beautiful scenery. My daughter has fallen in love with many horses at the barn and will begin leasing her new favorite this week. She has made nice friends and has also grown by her experience this past summer as a CIT by learning a new sense of hard work and responsibility. I can't say enough good things about Painted Dreams. I'm so glad that we found it; my daughter lives for the time she gets to spend there. read more
