Couldn't be happier with these guys. Came in and covered all our hardwood floors with thick butcher paper... worked straight on for three days... no loud music, no mess at all, cleaned everything up.. almost no odor. Our first telephone conversation he started it with asking me this question: Are you painting the house for a "quick sale or do you plan on living there a long time". Either way I would expect quality work and I should have taken that as a warning. I told him living here a long time. His estimate was for 3 days of labor, primer & 2 coats of paint but they quickly wrapped it up in two days. He made no adjustment to bill which I was not happy about. George never seemed happy and I never felt completely comfortable around him. Day two last day, which I thought was the second of three days, I brought my 87 year old mother over to look at the awnings with me. We wanted to ask him a few questions, we spoke for maybe 3 minutes before he told us " we were burning up his time". I was so insulted I carefully moved my mother away from him and put her in my car to take her home. When I returned he apologized he knew I was upset but he turned around and tried to justify his actions. I was very upset how rude George was around my mother, he had been rude to me the day before and on the telephone. George left in such a rush the last evening he even left a roof ladder propped up against my home. George had no idea it was here nor did he go around and check his guys work on the last day. I sent him a text after the job was done because there were many areas where paint was missing. You can't miss the same spots twice, I tried telling him this. His exact words were "that's why we leave touch up paint for". Again I just couldn't believe how he acted. I contacted another contractor he said this: "touch up paint is for if you need to do a repair or do an add on and you need paint to match". NOT for you to follow behind him and fix his unfinished job." I sent a signature required envelope with photo's of the back end of mobile home where new siding was. I wanted George to see how rough it looked after the job was completed. George did come over and put more paint on the back end where new siding was and a few other areas. George told me anything more he would charge me extra. My problem with that is there are more places where only one coat of paint was applied and you can see my original paint where 2 coats and prime was suppose to be applied. I scratched the paint with my finger nail on back wall where new siding was because the job was so rough looking. I saw the wood, no primer. He swears it has primer and it was rolled but he was not here when his guys did that part. Every contractor that looked at it said it did not look like it. Another example: His guys sprayed the underside of the eaves and they left the HUGE giant size spider webs all the way down one side of the house, they sprayed over the webs! You have to look up to spray them so they saw the webs but did not take the time to remove them. I live near huge trees, many webs, I called George and I told him that is part of prep work to remove the webs and he said BULLSH...! There is no stretching the truth on that, I was shocked. He actually scared me a bit, I have never paid anyone to be mean to me. I insisted they remove the webs, they did the next day. But the way he spoke to my mother and I, I just don't understand him. He was intimidating but I was spending over $4,000 on a mobile home and I wanted a nice job. I have posted "some" of the pictures, but I have more. I also read on another review that the crew left cigarette butts everywhere. The first morning of the job at my home, his guy was smoking in front of the living room window. I called George right away told him to tell his guy to put butts in a soda can due to dry grass. I personally do not like people smoking and working. This next incident shows lack of respect for his client: George went to McDonald's brought in approximately 4- 5 large bags of food & drinks. They threw all the debris in a wheel barrel along side my house and never took it with them. Due to the trees birds are always around, the crows tore through debris and made a huge mess. We had to pick up all the ripped up paper from our property and neighbors. Not my job, repeat not my job. Total lack of respect. Week of Thanksgiving I called, emailed and texted George after I sent him pictures of the back shed (yes another area) that needs a second coat as promised and as you can see by looking at pictures no second coat was applied and the other areas where there is "missing" paint. I gave him plenty of time to contact me before I moved to the next step. So this is why I am here, I have a 5 year warranty for what? I find more missing paint and proof there was not a second coat on these areas, which he promised and charges me for. Pictures don't lie, I think his guys said they did a second coat but they really did not, too many pictures show they did not. Explains why the 3 days of labor, paint & primer turned into two. Or maybe he knows there was only one coat applied, either way I want the job completed. read more

Yes, we are happy! After so many years of having done nothing to our home, it was a big step (and long overdue) to make a decision to paint. I say long overdue because when George came out to give an estimate, he was able to stroll around the house and point out a lot of dry-rot that had escaped our notice. But it was all good information since whether we painted or not, there were some problems that needed to be fixed before they went from bad to worse. George was great. He was prompt and showed up when he said he would. Communicative; if he couldn't take a call at that exact moment, he called back before the day was over. Professional; he answered all of our questions, and offered an opinion when we asked for one. His overall demeanor as a person was also very pleasant and I couldn't think of a nicer guy to have around. All in all, our home was done in 2 days, and we love the choices that we made for color. How very nice it is -every day- to drive up to my home and feel so much satisfaction that this is what I get to come home to. Now if the flowers would just bloom! read more

My husband and I just had our house painted by George. Before hiring George we got 3 other estimates. Two of which were more than double the price that George quoted us with one quote saying it'd take him a month! We were shocked at how much painters were quoting us at. George was our first quote and after seeing those high prices from other painters we made sure to go over our quote with George very carefully. He had pressure wash the house, prep it (including scraping, caulking, taping, etc), and 2 coats of paint. We wanted to go with a higher quality paint and George was honest with recommending what we needed and what would be worth it. He was easy to communicate with and when it came down to painting week, our house was washed in 1 afternoon, prepped and painted in 2 days. We were shocked at how fast his workers painted our house. We love the color and all the tips George recommended. Overall we're very happy with the work and would use and recommend George in the future. His price can't be beat! Our one complaint would be that his workers did leave quite a few cigarette butts all over our yards, as well as an empty can and bottle top. They could have done a better job of picking up after themselves but overall it was very minor and doesn't take away from the fact that we are so happy with our new paint job. read more

Imagine this. You hire a painter, pick a killer color scheme, get your home painted, then you HATE the end result. That's what we did. The house looked a horrid mauve color when done, which was nowhere near what we wanted, but now we are stuck with it. Crud. No wait, George came in and saved the day. For a very minimal charge, George had his guys repaint the entire house for us. And now it looks awesome. I don't recommend that you pick the wrong colors and go down the route we did. But I do recommend that you get your house painted by George. He is a true professional, who deeply wants his customers to love the end result. George didn't go the extra mile, he went an extra 10 miles for us. He covered up for our mistake. I don't know how many painters would do what George did. But I think it's a good indication of his commitment to having happy customers. George and his crew shows up on time, work very efficiently, and demonstrate strong craftsmanship. If you need your house painted and you're in the Petaluma area...you should probably get bids and ask around and do all that research...and then immediately call George. This is a major expense and a huge project and you want a professional. We just had George paint our house and could not be happier. He was VERY communicative...he made sure he understood exactly what we wanted. He introduced us to a color expert as well (if you have any doubts...OR if you're color-challenged as we are, USE her!). She was awesome and pointed us in all the right directions. George pointed out a few issues with dry rot and gutters that had rusted through. He wanted to make sure his amazing work stayed amazing. George and his crew were out exactly when they said. The did exactly what they said they would do. They finished exactly when they said they would. The house looks just amazing...just like they promised. In this day and age, we got what we were promised, which is far too infrequent. The most exciting part for us was having our friends over for the first time after he finished. They could not believe the transformation...and how quickly it occurred! They also couldn't believe the price. George is more than fair with his rates. Having your whole house painted won't be dirt cheap...but the transformation and appeal is so worth it! Next? George and his team recently painted our house and they did an amazing job! He really helped us choose colors and accent ideas and it looks fantastic! Our house is a good size and they did in 3 days (they were also juggling another project) which I thought was very speedy. They also made it a breeze for us as they dealt with removing all the fixtures, plants etc that were in their way and then upon completion, put everything back together. George is awesome!!! We never realized how bad a job the previous painters did until we saw the beautiful work that George and his guys did. The price fair and reasonable. No nonsense, just jumps right in and does the work. He's there when he says he will be and things get done. If you need painting inside or out, I wouldn't bother with any other companies, you're never going to get a professional service, we've tried!! George looked me in the eye and said that his prep work included power washing, scraping off peeling paint, sanding area, caulking areas that needed it and priming. I showed him the porch rail and he said it would be taken care of. LIAR! Not only did he not scrape the top rails of the porch that were peeling and blistered but he later told me that only the house was covered under his guarantee and not porch railings. After several weeks of calling and leaving messages, he called back and came over. He then sanded over the paint. Put enamel primer on some areas and left. He came back and painted over most of the primer. Lo and behold, the porch railings continued to lift off of the wood more that ever! Sooo, I called again and he came by to tell me that he fixed the situation as far as he was concerned and it was now my problem. Don't trust him. I read on his BBB Business site that another client of his had the very same problem with George. read more

A few months ago I needed to have my house painted. I was having a family reunion on President's weekend and wanted my house to shine. I knew it would be a challenge to get it done because of all the rain we were having. When I contacted George, he initially wondered why I didn't want to wait for the weather to clear. But after explaining my situation, George said that he would work around the storms. It seemed that each time he planned for a paint day, it would start to rain again! George was very careful to be sure that he had a good, solid window of clear weather before he did the job. He wanted to be sure that the job was top quality and didn't want any moisture to compromise the work that needed to be done. George and his crew were very professional and courteous. Needless to say, the paint job turned out beautifully and on time for my reunion. I was so happy and proud of my house!
