It's one of the best classes I've seen out there since the painting is so personalized. It's also a bit more expensive than other classes because of the extra work that goes into it ($50). I think this class is better suited for people who have painted a couple times, or more. Next time I'll try a class where we're all painting the same thing, so it's harder for me to mess up. When all the pets look so different, it's hard for them to help you mix paint colors and walk you through every step. Some of the paintings were AMAZING and you could definitely tell these people had inherent artistic skills. People were looking at mine and smiling politely... haha. My painting is no masterpiece, but it sorta-kinda looks like Izzy. My fiance laughed at it when he saw it, but it was the first painting I've ever done! The instructor was helpful, and she went around to everyone giving them pointers and tips. The class included a drink, and they had little appetizers (mini meatballs, cheese, crackers, grapes, peanut M&M's!!!!!, hummus). It's a really cute space, and a fun thing to do with friends. Definitely recommend! P.S. There is a garage with free parking right behind the studio.

It was a very relaxing experience, totally open-minded, and a lot of fun! Highly recommended to anyone in the greater Denver area for a visit to try the "open studio". I was surprised that the cost was so low when let you take your canvas with you, which is moderately sized. This would be an absolute blast to come with a group of ~10 people. They have a "paint your date/mate" night - where you can do a portrait of the person you come with. Sounds like a blast - I fully hope to get back there. Beer/wine is available for purchase too, at less than restaurant prices. My only complaint, is that it's hard to find. If you enter from the main street, there's minimal street presence. There's a small sign out front, so don't look for a large window near their address. You need to follow down a hallway before you arrive at the studio. I think it's possible to get there faster from the back side of the studio? Anyway - give yourself time when trying to find the studio. I was surprised to see that other reviews posted were less positive. Reaction to other reviews: --"better suited for someone with painting experience": I've never painted before, and was entirely not intimidated by the environment. I felt no qualms trying funky patterns! --"cancelled birthday party": this definitely sounds like a nightmare. My experience was very unstructured (dropping in to an open studio), so this was not a problem. The staff was very friendly and provided help whenever needed.

It's a fun way to spend 90 minutes to 120 minutes based on your fascination level and how many people are with you to indulge. For about $50 to 60 a person if I recall, you can go nuts doing selfies within a number of themed sets and installed art stages. There are selfie tripods set up for each set with the adequate lighting to take shots of yourself to show off to your friends, fuel your vanity, and just have a bit of amusement and fun. Each of the sets and art installations are different theme-wise such as the bathtub and dressing room sets, the psychedelic landscapes with Jim Henson-like plush animals, surreal backgrounds, gym-like settings with punching bags, food-centric backdrops, fake advertising murals, and more. You have to love taking selfies to spend the money for a couple of hours. Additionally, they have an escape room if you have some friends who may be inclined and get selfied out.

It was also supposed to start at 7p per our Groupon. We showed up at 730p and they told us that only VIPs were allowed in at 7p and that we couldn't get in until 9p. Well, we showed them the Groupon and they let us in. When we got in, we realized that they just opened and nothing was set up. The dancers didn't start on the stage til 8 something and performers were still trickling in. If I had paid for VIP, I would have been disappointed since they were still trying to figure out the night. Most of the entertainment was in their After Dark area, but it was so divided and crammed that it wasn't really worth watching the acts upstairs. I felt that the other stages upstairs in After Dark were thrown in a corner. The downstairs in Diamond Cabaret were 1 stage of performers and 3 stages for their normal dancers. The headliner for the event who was supposed to be a world renowned fetish model was on stage for maybe 3 min. Her act consisted of sitting on a chair, removing her shoes and stockings, putting on ankle bondage cuffs, removing her bra and skirt, putting on wrist bondage cuffs and a blindfold, then being escorted off the stage but a not so pretty drag queen. They also installed a small dance floor in between the stages. Normal tickets were $39 for damsels and $79 for dukes. I felt like it was a glorified costume party at a strip club. Highly disappointed especially considering the prices to get in. My husband and I left before midnight because it was just a let down. Entrance to After Dark was an additional price at $20/person.

It was very understaffed, the VIP section was small and the main area more interesting but the table we purchased was in the VIP area so not much we could do besides abandon the table we paid for. the music was not fitting for the event besides, the live band that played for maybe an hour max that was good. the balloon drop that was supposed to happen at midnight that everybody was waiting for never happened. a staff member had to pull over the mermaid and manually climb up there to drop the balloon nets one by one. The selfie with the light broke as we were waiting in line for it. just overall way too expensive for the experience, which was very college like considering how expensive the tickets tables and drinks were.
