I came here while on a work trip and was so pleased with everything they offered! The person who greeted me was very kind and helpful, but also let me have the time I needed to look around. They have everything you could want that you would typically see online! I got some Twice Sheared Sheep row counters and other accessories because I'm trying not to buy more yarn. It's in an interesting location in the fact it is located inside of a building that's mostly a food market/court. The yarn selection wasn't that special. It was a basic selection of what other yarn stores carry. I would have liked to have seen more unique yarns from Colorado. For example, local yarn dyers and/or locally sourced wool. The basic yarn selection is necessary for local knitters and crocheters, but it's nice for people who are traveling to be able to find something local and special that they wouldn't see everywhere else. The store did offer a line of project bags that were handmade in Colorado. That was fun to see and I purchased one. I was happy to leave with something locally made. The location of the store is confusing if you are using GPS because it's inside a large warehouse-looking building. The parking lot is big. There isn't any signage outside that I saw. I parked and went in the main entrance. It took a minute to find the shop down a hallway. Location. Location. Location. This store doesn't have it. The owner was kind and I'm glad I sought the store out but it was an undertaking. read more

Great locally owned yarn store RIGHT HERE IN NORTHWEST DENVER. If you don't live nearby, it's definitely worth the drive! Great yarn selection, fun atmosphere and lots of supplies. What a find!! I came across The Tangled Ball searching for a yarn shop that I didn't have to go across town for and that isn't a big box store. They're located in the main building of The Edgewater Public Market, so exploring after was fun. They were super friendly even though I was shopping with a very curious toddler. They have a great selection of lovely yarns and the shop is clean and well organized.while they wound my yarn I was able to take my son for ice cream. Wow!! What a special store located in the Edgewater Public Market. I discovered this gem, from a YELP event but came back because of their personal service. They were so willing to help me get back to knitting, offering me a seat at their table, and undivided attention. Their staff is skilled and knowledgeable, and the best part, aside from amazing products! is one does NOT have to be perfect, in fact, it's imperfection that is encouraged and makes creating special. I will drive farther to go to this store, than one closer to me, because of the all around quality received. read more

Ok. This one is more difficult because I can't sew. I came here for an event nearby with a friend who knits (?). Here's what I saw and experienced: 1. Excitement in the craft - the two adults I spoke with were proud and excited on this craft. 2. Tons of colors and positive vibes - literally has that color you needed 3. Charity work - they have community yarn to use to create something for a donation. My friend was there dropping off hats for premature babies! WOW. 4. Adaptability - the man I spoke with was excited about a men's group called...dicks with sticks! YUP! Made it totally cool in a few words! I'm not a knitter but I do know a great business that cares when I see one and this is it! Give them love! Give them attention. Give them some business! read more

What an adorable store!?! I only wish I had stumbled across this sooner. I've been longing for a good yarn shop in my neighborhood and I'm positively delighted with this one. Wonderful selection but more importantly the owner, Marsha, is knowledgeable and helpful without being overbearing. Honestly my favorite yarn store in Denver. They have all the classics and some unique stuff too. Good selections of sale yarns. You get coupons when you buy yarn so that's pretty sweet. Cute stickers and pens and eucalan! This shop is a remarkable gem! I went there twice in a week while visiting relatives nearby. Originally I went in to replace a broken knitting needle, but everyone was so friendly and welcoming! They have a wonderful selection of yarn, but also books, tools, kits, & so many other things. They have classes & community nights. I wish I lived closer, they wouldn't get rid of me. What a cool store! I wouldn't exactly consider myself a knitter, but I'm very impressed with the store. The staff was very professional and friendly. There is a ton of selection in yarn. Charming yarn store in the public market in edgewater. They have a large selection, great prices, and chairs and tables to work in your projects. The atmosphere was very inviting and I love that you can walk around the market, get some food or drinks, pop in tje yarn store, take your time, etc. I also love that they do a quarterly community project, have a yarn library, and have classes. This is so central/conveniently located - i love that I can come grab some quality yarn on my way to or from work. Highly recommend! read more
