We went to a paint and sip for my friend's birthday, and Katie was our artist lead. She was incredibly sweet, and made the experience very fun while not being over the top. She did a good job of explaining what we needed to do, but also gave us plenty of time to talk to each other and have fun. This wasn't like a school art class, it was actually so much fun and I left with a great looking painting, which I am so surprised about.! I also have not painted anything even remotely like this, and I have no artistic skills, and she did a great job explaining the different brushstrokes and the different paintbrush techniques, so I did actually pick up some useful information which was great ! painting with the twist is a very nice family run establishment, I have been here for the chunky knitted blanket, making class and that was equally fun and well organized! Such a cute space, the teacher we had was great, even though my master piece was not. She had a great playlist that we all appreciated and kept it very interactive. I came to a fundraiser and all seats were sold but it didn't feel crowded at all. They offer great drinks at fair prices. There is plenty of parking out back and it's a quick walk to the door. Had such a good time here! The owners were present and were super friendly and inviting. The space is great- any seat you sit at, you'll be able to follow along. Everything needed was provided (paint, brushes, smock), and good music was playing. I also really appreciate they sold snacks! The instructor was entertaining and more than willing to help fix mistakes or explain things further. I left with a painting I couldn't believe I painted myself! All around great experience. This place is great!! My boyfriend and I went for date night twice. We painted two different Star Wars themed paintings with the added bonus of trivia while we waited for our paint to dry. We've been to other paiting lessons before attending this one. We felt that the instructor was teaching everything really quickly and wasen't demonstrating her techniques. We had asked the instructor to slow down the pace, but she would continue to paint with a fast pace. A lot of the people in the class felt it was rushed. Overall it was a great place and has a lot of potential, but just need a slower instructor. read more
