First off the ambiance is amazing... So many beautiful paintings all over the walls and many different art stations setup !!! The staff is wonderful and very patient. Today i made a candle with my own personal scent and color. Also got a to a step by step painting. They provide an apron, canvas, paint and brushes!!! They space is large enough to host multiple people as well. I give it a 5 for sure, so if you're interested in having a paint event with a twist then definitely find yourself here !!!! read more

I put out a video on TikTok to meet some friends in the area and shortly after found an ad for Paint your Plot at Painting With a Twist! I made another video with details and happily met some new friends from the views! Our art instructor Hannah, was such a cute vibe! She kept things fun, moving and entertaining. She assisted when needed and made sure no one felt left behind! This felt like such a personal class and like it was really curated with love! Our tickets included the canvas we painted, a book swap and 2 glasses of wine! It was well worth $38 and a definite do again experience! Plus, if you don't finish (like me), they have free SOS classes where you can go back and finish your piece! I had a great night and was so happy to meet new friends in such a wonderful place. My sister was visiting from FL and I couldn't figure out what to do with her, the weather was not that great. I thought this would be perfect! We chose the Mimosa Morning class on a Sunday. It was absolutely the best choice to start our day out. Our instructor was Maggie and she was very friendly and engaging and encouraged us to make our picture our own. We had the best time. You receive 2 mimosas with the price of the class. We chose a frame with our picture so it was $50 each. We created a memory for us to look back on in years to come. Highly recommend. read more

Just hosted my daughter's birthday with some of her classmates. WHAT AN AMAZING DAY! We were booked for a private room. The art instructor was amazing with the kids. She played a couple games and the winner got to choose a painting from a selected area. The kids painted for an hour and half. Once they had the backdrop of their canvas painted they had about 15 min to have some food and go back to painting. They were able to eat the whole time while they painted if they wanted to. We were able to bring in our own food and drinks. I highly recommend this place for both boys and girls. read more

First time here tonight and it was so much fun. Hannah the 3rd was our instructor and she was truly awesome. Paint with a twist, and a flick of the wrist and sips of wine Yummy. Stations weren't overcrowded. The instructor was easy to talk too, answered questions and even offered assistance to those who weren't confident on certain things. Not sure why it took me this long to try this place out but I will be back. Tonight's event was 18+ but they do haven't events for children as well. This made for an awesome girls night amongst my friends. So happy to have this establishment so close to home in Chesapeake as well. The atmosphere was just chill, great hits from the 90s played in the background and we painted and sang to our hearts content tonight. Thank you and I'll be back again soon!! This was my second time here & I loved it! The first time was Valentine's couples painting and this one was for teachers. I love the themes that they offer and the endless possibilities. The employees are always nice and helpful when it comes to perfecting your painting, it is a very relaxed environment on top of wine being available! My friend and I decided to do paint night. So glad we did! We brought our own snacks & beverages as we do not drink alcohol but for those who do, they offer you wine or champagne free of charge. The classroom was nice and roomy and didn't smell too strong of paint. We put on our provided paint smocks and followed the easy to follow instructions of the artist. The artist had already drew out some of the picture we were to be painting making it even easier. I found this experience exciting and therapeutic. There were about ten people in our class, everyone was decent and respectful. The artist plays a range of music to suit everyones liking. They have blow dryers to dry your paintings if you like, have another private room for private parties and two bathrooms. I enjoyed seeing all of the display paintings all over the building. Classes are taught in English and Spanish upon request. Prices are reasonable, they range from about $35 - $45 and up depending on the design. We will definitely be back for another class! I absolutely love painting at this location. I've been here twice and previously had never had a paint night experience. I've experienced two different instructors and both were so pleasant and helpful. The most experience was a paint and mimosa event on a Sunday and it was the perfect couple of hours away that I needed. You get two mimosas during the event, which is plenty cause you're working hard! I also picked up a pice of holiday artwork that they had for sale for $10! It was perfect to add to my Christmas decor and it supports their business. I highly recommend this place for a girls night/day out or even for a solo experience. It's a wonderful idea for stress relief and just releasing all of the creativity you have. read more

I went last night my sister who was here on business. She comes about every 3 months. We laughed so much. The others were laughing as well. The instruction was clear and Teresa went round giving suggestions and help to those (meaning me) who needed help. Would definitely recommend! This location is incredibly poorly managed. After being told that we would forfeit or booking fee if even a minute late, the artist failed to show up to the scheduled class. When a manager finally arrived 30 min after the scheduled start time to "let us in" because there still was no artist on site to lead the class. When we requested a refund, the manager became incredibly defensive and refused to take accountability for the actions of the artists who failed to show. We were first told no refund could be granted and then we were told it would be issued with a 10% fee for servicing, despite the error being on the part of the studio. The manager on site and someone I assume was her partner handled the situation incredibly unprofessionally and were speaking heatedly to a group full of frustrated people and tried to keep shifting blame back to the artist. Very poor experience overall read more

Coming in they were holding another class so it took them a bit to tell us where to go. When we went into the back room it was definitely packed! Maybe if the do less seats people wouldn't be on top of each other. I don't remember the instructors name but she was super nice and funny. Fun night with the girls at this place! They serve 2 glasses of wine with your ticket while other places will have wine it's usually for purchase separately. The ladies running the show are super helpful with the art and wonderful when demonstrating brush strokes or painting techniques. The painting goes quick if you are about getting it to be exact or trying to make it perfect then you may fall behind the step-by-step process. If you do get behind you can ask for help and they are pretty nice about taking breaks if the whole class or majority are falling behind. I would definitely do it again! read more

ATTENTION! We were invited to paint for a charity we support. It was the ONLY reason we were going to attend. The event was canceled 6 hours before scheduled. The business will not give us a refund. I have sent several emails and texts and the shop won't put anything in writing. The only reason we were going to paint was to support our charity. I had an absolute blast at the 80s Neon Daisy event! I've never really painted, so I was a little worried about how it would turn out. Todd was encouraging and incredibly helpful giving advice when I wasn't sure what to do. What I liked the best was that you could follow the painting exactly as he did it, but he also gave the class free rein to alter the colors as we wanted to. In my case, I decided to turn one of the daisies into a sunflower. And it turned out that no painting experience or ability was necessary! I LOVE how my painting turned out. And never fear, they provide an S.O.S. class just in case something goes wrong. They'll help you fix your painting until you're completely satisfied. It was a friendly, fun, and inviting atmosphere.
