We register ahead of time for an event during spring break. The artist who was painting was great! They gave the kids enough time to paint each step. The place is on the smaller side and was packed. I'm sure the kids being on break had it more slammed than normal. The entire place was nice and cleaned (very organized). It is definitely expensive and not something we would do again soon. Maybe a mom night out in the future. I deducted a star because honestly parking is a nightmare. I was not familiar with the area and there was street parking... random paying parking, there was no clear sign for the parking behind their building (an email said that there was parking behind there). This place would be soooo great if there was a real parking lot, maybe in the future in another location. I do recommend this as something fun to do. read more

We brought sushi and wine, Painting with a Twist brought the FUN! We had a wonderful time celebrating a friend's birthday. Even with instructions our paintings definitely showed our different characters. Elisabeth and Bri (pronounced Bree) were fabulous in teaching and helping us with our non artistic talent! This was an opportunity to enjoy each other in a non bar/club setting but still meet other people and have a blast. I do think they need a soundtrack that goes with the instructions but the background music was pleasant. So much fun!! Highly recommend read more

Second time was just as much fun as the first! The class was smaller so I kept up easier. Our lead artist was great! She explained everything while keeping it fun. She wore a mask. It's by reservation, online. They have everything set up for you when you get there w/ your name. They allow you to bring snacks & wine n beer. The paint does stain your clothes but they provide disposable aprons. It's a lot of fun, give it a try! read more

COVID-19 Edition: My fiance and I took my mother to Painting with a Twist on Mother's Day (May 10, 2020), which was during Florida's Phase I of "re-opening" during the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, there were only 8 total "painters" (including the three of us), everyone was instructed to wear a mask, the aprons were disposable and materials were sanitized heavily between use. That being said, we still had an awesome time! We had been here before during non-COVID precautions and it's pretty much the same (minus the extra precautions). You are welcome to bring food and beverages alcoholic (wine and beer, but no heavy liquor) and non, the instructor is friendly and helpful and the music is upbeat. They usually play a couple of games for prizes (the first game was "guess how many wine corks were in a jar") and everyone is encouraged to have a good time and not over-criticize your painting skills (though the instructions are pretty fool proof and they tell you what to do if you do make an "oopsie"). It's neat to see how different everyone's painting comes out despite everyone following the same instructions. I've never had a bad experience here and plan to return many, many times! read more

I was able to talk with someone to get a coupon for trying a different class after the horrible experience we had. They were very nice and understanding 10 out of 10 customer service. I was so scared i was out all that money. They werent ablw to refund but gave me coupon to use within 90 days to try a different class that better fit our needs. It was 100 times better this time the instructor was so much nicer. He did not rush the steps like the last lady did and was really nice if we asked him to repeat instruction unlike the previous person. We had a fantastic time after picking a new day to go. Glad i gave it another shot. It was a great date night. read more

Located on a busy street. We walked by and noticed the month-long events and decided to walk in. They have day time and night time events. We signed up for the event that night and really loved our instructor. Prices vary, we paid $70 plus tax for a couples event. Parking is free in this area. There is plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. The event started at 7 pm and went just passed 9 pm. You don't realize how fast time passes. I do recommend bringing drinks and snacks. We didn't and wish we had. They have a water fountain inside and there is a ten-minute break halfway through the event. My boyfriend has attended this event for years and loves it. He said the instructor is usually the same and she is so talented and entertaining. The pace of the event was ideal for our limited painting skill and we recommended this event to anyone and everyone. read more

Don't waste your money if you are looking for a nice relaxing, fun atmosphere with your friends. I went to a session on September 28, 2018. The instructor rushed everything and at the end of the session she yelled "shut up" and kept yelling "hurry up" because her boss will get mad at her if she goes over her 2 hours of instruction. She even added that she had to finish painting a picture. I wrote a much nicer comment on their FB page but it was deleted without comment. Very unprofessional! read more

This is a very fun time for people who haven't an ounce of artistic talent. And probably also for those with talent, although I wouldn't know that for sure since I fall into the former category. They make it fun with games and prizes and easy-to-follow instructions. The artist and assistant were fun and helpful. You will definitely come away with a painting that you never imagined that you could do! Even though they warned me, I still got paint on my pants. It was probably inevitable because I was pretty tipsy. I definitely recommend wearing something that you don't mind ruining with paint. Even with the aprons, there are still so many opportunities to spill and smear. I would love to go back with a group for a private party. read more

Wow, this place was fantastic!!!! Lance Berry was the lead artist that instructed the class, with assistance by the lovely Jimmy. They played music in the background that was so fitting for our personalities and generation, unknowingly. They gave great instruction for the lay person such as myself whom has not really picked up a paint brush since kindergarten. They were also patient and encouraging, funny and just down right entertaining, with Lance singing the likes of Lionel Richie as we slow danced with our partners. My husband took me here for my birthday and I have to say I had such a great time. I will definitely be going back! My 83 year old mother and my sister-in-law came to visit, and I thought I'd reserve a time at "Painting with a Twist during their stay. We had a wonderful time. The artist was patient and helpful and the best part was that after many years of hard work and raising thirteen children, my mother was able to paint her very first portrait. She did a good job and it's something my entire family will treasure.
