I was planning my best friend's Honeymoon Shower and I had such a difficult time trying to find a…read moreplace within our budget. Email after email, call after call.. the struggle was super real. Every place insisted a caterer, which no one in the bridal party wanted to pay for considering it wasn't a normal shower.. it was co-ed! One random night, about two weeks after I had emailed this random place I found on The Knot.. I finally got a response so straight forward I thought it wasn't real. $500, no down payment.. money in cash or check due the very day of the party, don't have to have a caterer, BYOB, tables, chairs, etc included. I instantly called the guy. Manager of the center was named Jimmy, a 74 year old man.. total riot. I read most of the reviews on every other site and everyone was so up and down about him. Some people said he was rude and inappropriate.. others said he was super helpful and attentive. Well from my experience, from day one it was perfect. Met with him the first night with the bride to be's parents and my boyfriend and he gave us a tour of the place, told us we could have the place for 10 hours and for $500. The place was gorgeous! Plenty of different sized tables, chairs, A/C, covered outdoor deck, high ceilings, gorgeous flowers planted all around the building, beautifully maintained yard by the river with lights dangling all around, two bathrooms, and a fully stocked and loaded kitchen. I was super happy about this place. Jimmy and I talked a couple of times throughout the months of planning. Any time I had any questions he was always super attentive, always giving me a call back as soon as possible if he missed it. Super sweet, any funny guy. About a week before the day of the shower, Jimmy called me telling me he wasn't going to be able to open the building for us because he had relatives going into the Marines that weekend so he would miss the party! He wanted to meet a few days before and personally give me the key to open myself and let me come an hour earlier than we agreed on and showed me where everything was located. Every light switch, every lock on the doors, every table, showed us what was offered in the kitchen, and where to leave the money and key for him to pick up the next day. Everything was super easy to remember. I would like to say, the shower turned out amazing. Every guest raved about how beautiful the place was and how gorgeous the decorations were. It was a great time, nothing went wrong that day. I was super stressed for months and nothing could have went better. Cleanup was easy, closing the building was easy.. I left feeling exhausted but content. I'd highly recommend this place for anyone. It's small so if you decide to have a wedding or party here, it should be for anywhere smaller than 100 people. I had about 48 people for my shower, so it was just right. I'd come back if I had the opportunity to for sure! Thanks again!

My soon to…read morebe 2nd grader loves doing science experiments & with COViD causing so much havoc this summer, going to Summer Camp was off the table. We signed up for Science Explorers & he has enjoyed it so much that he asked to do a second week! It's all virtual, through Zoom, but a week before they send a box filled with all the items they'll need for the week. Each experiment is prelabeled, in its own bag, & only a very few items are needed from home (like scissors). The instructor is patient & engaging, ensuring the questions are answered and a break is given (it is a 2.5 hour "class"). While my son has needed some help here & there, it is very age appropriate for the group of children who signed up. I seriously recommend Science Explorers to anyone who child loves doing experiments!!

I trained many dancers who turned pro. When I came here, I could not find good schools close to where we moved. I found this school and it was wonderful. My daughter and I took classes there and were very impressed. It was hard to continue because it was a trip from where we lived, and during the weekdays, I was a single mom of 2, due to my husband's work away from home. I opened my own school, locally, and it was successful for 15 years, until I retired from ownership and passed it onto others. I retired, temporarily, from teaching (since 1973) due to bad knees. Once I had them replaced, I called the owner, who is a colleague of mine who had judged for me at my competition, to take some classes to get back to dance. She asked me to also teach. I've been teaching there and am still so impressed with, not only the professionalism, but the moral and ethics, that match mine, that I find are lacking in some schools, I love working there and how she, and the staff, truly care for the well-being of the dancers. Michelle will not abandon her ethics, just to make a parent, or child, happy. Her standards are too high, thank goodness. I am so happy, after the few years I took off from teaching and dancing, to be at this dance school. I love the fact that their annual student demo concert does not charge fees for costumes, or concert fee. Only ticket sales. It is run beautifully, and I love working with professional teachers who think like me and have the background of excellent training, not just as dancers, but as teachers. If you are looking for an ethical school for your child, or yourself, with people who care more about you than what you can bring to them, this is the place. Visited here for Valentine's Day Haunt. I didn't realize how big it was. They have like 4 different…read morehaunted houses for this event. They did a good job of trying to scare you with using fog or light that blinked a lot. I do feel like they could have done a better job with the haunting. Like there was one section where there was a tunnel and it was too foggy to see anything. There were a ton of mannequins you had to walk past. I think it would have been nice if they would have had some actual people in there so they could come back from behind and scare you. The haunt also featured palm readers and had a bar where they were also playing live music. There were some characters dressed up near the bar as well which was interesting. The staff was really friendly and took an ample amount of pictures for us. If you bought premium tickets, there was a separate line and they had access to a VIP bar as well (to be honest, it didn't seem worth it to me but I also wasn't drinking).

I don't like that you dint have a choice of which order to do the attractions in that you have to do them in order and there's nothing really in between like a bonfire or snacks, bathrooms were plentiful though. Also my favorite part of haunted places is always the hayride so I missed that but again everything that was there was really good. The asylum part itself was the best part. There was some sort of incident at the end and we were rushed out and it was hush hush so we didn't get snacks or shopping at the end but it's ok the kids got frosty's at Wendy's on the way home. I would recommend and do it again.
