Since he was already there, I asked him to look at a bathroom sink where the stopper wouldn't release, and he replaced it. Unfortunately, I was charged $530 for a visit that lasted only about 30 minutes total. The bathroom sink was already taken apart, and because I was traveling the next morning, I felt I had little choice but to approve the repair. I raised concerns via phone about the charge immediately after the work was completed, but no one followed up. I have also requested a detailed, itemized invoice multiple times over the past two weeks and have received no response. While I was pleased with the technician, the excessive charge and the company's lack of transparency and follow-up were extremely disappointing.

I am extremely disappointed with the care my son received at this daycare…read more My son has behavioral challenges, and I was the one who initiated discussions about creating a Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) to help him succeed. During the meeting, I left feeling hopeful that we finally had a plan in place, especially since the daycare agreed to the strategies outlined. Unfortunately, once behaviors occurred, many of those agreed-upon interventions were not consistently implemented. Instead of following the plan, situations were often allowed to escalate until my son was ultimately terminated from the program. Throughout our time there, I frequently felt that my son was viewed as a problem rather than a child who needed support. I was expected to provide incentives and workbooks for staff to use because the daycare did not have appropriate resources available. I was regularly informed when my son injured another child, but there were multiple occasions when I was not informed about injuries my own child sustained. I was also concerned by some staff interactions. On one occasion, a teacher took my son's paper, crumpled it up, and threw it away in front of him, which only escalated an already difficult situation rather than helping to de-escalate it. There were too many children for the number of staff available, and I did not see evidence that staff had adequate training to support children with significant behavioral needs. It often felt as though any unexplained issue or injury involving another child was automatically assumed to be my son's fault. What was most frustrating was being told that the daycare could not accommodate my child after agreeing to a behavior plan that was never fully implemented. The final comment that they would "pray we find a placement" felt especially dismissive after months of struggling to get the agreed-upon support in place. Parents of children with behavioral or additional support needs should carefully consider whether this program is equipped to provide the accommodations and interventions it promises. While I understand that not every daycare can meet every child's needs, I expected honesty about those limitations from the beginning rather than assurances that support would be provided and then not consistently delivered.

I was browsing local childcare reviews in hopes to find a good fit for my grandchild... a recent…read morenegative review caught my attention. Four Stars... because nobody is perfect. Parenting is a lifetime subscription, but we often enroll children in daycare with the unspoken (or it seems in this case with highly spoken) expectations of hoping trained staff will "straighten out" difficult behavior. While daycare can be a valuable environment for social growth, it is not a miracle cure for deep-seated behavioral issues. Expecting daycare workers to single-handedly transform a child's manners, attitude, or respect for authority is not only unrealistic--it's unfair to both the staff, the child in question, as well as the other children in the classroom. High-quality daycare centers provide structured routines, opportunities for social interaction, and exposure to early learning. Skilled caregivers can model positive behavior, encourage cooperation, and set boundaries. However, their influence is limited by time, context and capacity. A child spends only part of the day in daycare; the rest of their environment--especially at home--has a far greater impact on long-term behavior. Outsourcing children's behavioral challenges hoping it comes with a "90-day fix my kid" guarantee often comes with great disappointment. Teachers and staff are not miracle workers and are tasked to in helping a classroom of many children thrive in a happy, healthy and safe environment. Soft disciplinary tactics and gentle redirecting always sound better within intervention plans, but in reality, administrators have to take into account their teachers and the other children's safety and mental wellbeing. Sounds like this center took the welfare of their teachers and other families seriously and recognized that some cases call for more specialized and intensive behavioral care as well as parental support and guidance. Putting a childcare center on blast with a negative review doesn't seem to fill the void. Perhaps a more productive use of time would be to have the root causes of inappropriate behavior further explored or perhaps finding therapeutic parental support will help with caring forward. Woe, blown away and freaked out by how Jennifer has herself listed here on Yelp as a holisitic…read morecoach. I was looking for her on Yelp's site to review as a writing coach. I see now she has attempted to sell herself as a "coach" in other industries as well. There is even a Jennifer Blanchard listed on Google for coaching services for obtaining a "Beach Body". I wouldn't doubt this is the same Jennifer as well. Please be aware, this girl is bad news no matter what hat she's thrown on. I first came across Jennifer's site on Google while looking for said writing coach. We had a discussion about my needs and her skills. She seemed to fit the bill to a tee. In hind site I now know she had listened to what I needed then told me exactly that about herself. She is not talented as a coach, writer, nor is she all that she claims to be. I should have checked "valid" references. I'm writing a time travel/historical/fantasy fiction series. Seven years of time, research, and travel expenses,etc. have gone into this. During our initial phone interview she said she was indeed well experienced in these genres. I should have grilled her harder during that conversation but I was naive, and I admit, desperate to find a coach to get me to the finish line. I brought her on board. After our first hour session, it was clear to me she was unfit to be coaching. She confessed she hadn't even read the biggest seller of all time in this genre, which is Diana Gabaldon's, Outlander. Now that's just pathetic. And when it came down to giving me direction she was clueless! I politely let her know that it wasn't going to work out and I would like to be refunded. She refused. She said I had signed a contract with her so too bad, she wasn't going to give me a penny of my money back. That this would force me into commitment. Wow, thank you for looking out for my best interest but when you're keeping money that doesn't belong to you I find that somehow disingenuous. What's more, I don't have a problem with commitments or to my work/book. However, I do have an enormous problem with cons! FYI, people, the number here is $1,500.00! I attempted to reason with her sense of fairness, that she should be paid for only so much time as she was not able to be helpful after all. I offered to break the 1,500.00 down into a prorated payment for those two hours, plus a bonus three hours of time just because I wanted to end things on an amicable note...She refused this generous offer, greedily demanding she keep all my money. What a joke. This was money that had accidentally been overpaid to her by an oversight on my part due to her - most likely calculated- billing strategies where she had double billed me my first payment thereby obtaining 1,500.00 bucks before services were rendered. In the end, after my promising her I would see her in small claims court ( and many bizarre emails with her longwinded childish tirades) I was able to recoup $750.00 back, only half. People, don't be a sucker like I have been. Fortunately, and most happily, by the lack of reviews, it seems no one has been as dumb as I was to give this person money. Jennifer, if you are reading this, money won't buy you a conscience. I suppose that's unimportant to people who operate like you do but Karma will get you in the end. Luckily, thanks to sites like this, people like yourself are less able to take advantage of others these days. I do hope I am the only one who ever has the need to review you. Although I'm sure you'll find a "friend" to write up something positive though it will be surely be a fake review.
