Absolutely Exhausting Experience - A 3-Month Bathroom Remodel Took Nearly a Year. Our experience with Michael Nash Design Build started off great. The initial calls were professional, the consultation was helpful, and the showroom gave us confidence that we were hiring a reputable company. Unfortunately, everything changed once we signed the contract and paid our deposit. The first major issue was a payment error on their side that took over a week to resolve because no one would return calls or emails. Only after repeated messages and escalating the issue did the owner finally contact me and promise he would personally ensure things were handled correctly. That promise, like many others, did not translate into action. We were told our daughter's small bathroom remodel would take about three months. Instead, the project started roughly two months late and was not truly completed until nearly a year later. Throughout the project, communication was terrible. We constantly had to chase project managers for updates, workers frequently failed to show up when expected, schedules changed without notice, and progress was painfully slow. The workmanship and project oversight were equally frustrating. Wrong products were ordered, design details from our plans were missed, inspections failed, electrical issues impacted other areas of our home, fixtures were installed incorrectly, and several items had to be redone. We also experienced property damage, including scratched floors, damaged cabinetry, and a lack of care for protecting our home during construction. We were promised daily cleanup and professional project management. Instead, we dealt with dust, debris, delays, excuses, and endless follow-up. The only bright spot was Steele City Glass, one of the subcontractors involved, who was professional and reliable. This project caused months of stress, countless hours of my time, and far more frustration than any homeowner should have to endure. If I could do it over again, I would choose another company. I am saddened that others have suffered, but encouraged to see that the true one-star ratings for this horrific company are being stated. If ever there was a business that deserves a BUYER BEWARE, Michael Nash, this is it. It has been 1,010 days since signing the contract for a simple master bath and kitchen remodel, and we are still unfinished. We, like others in the reviews, made the mistake of paying 100% up front (Sonny is masterful with the sales pitch, with many awards on the walls), which left us without leverage. I raised so much hell about being without a kitchen for more than a year that we received a monthly percentage of our purchase price back as a penalty for each missed completion date. We have had the fortune of building three homes from clearing lots to completion, each in far less time than the remodel project with Michael Nash. We have never experienced the poor management, workmanship, outright lies, and delays that this company has delivered. We can vouch for all the one-star reviews because we have experienced each complaint. I welcome joining others in legal action and moving forward with one voice. Used MN for a small kitchen remodle & half bath years ago. I requested a spice cabinet/drawer from day one. They didn't order the correct cabinet so instead of ordering the correct one, they concocted one and the drawer doesn't pull out all the way. They measured my counter top incorrectly, didn't cut another piece, so I was stuck with a counter top forced into the window edging. My half bath counter top had two different sizes of splash sides. I also was led to believe I was getting two drawers which never materialized. This company only caters to the wealthy. read more

I would not recommend Michael's Nash. It has been almost five years since our kitchen remodel began, and the project is still not complete. We are still waiting for appliances that were supposed to be delivered, and construction debris and trash have never been properly removed despite multiple requests. The delays, lack of follow-through, and communication have made what should have been an exciting renovation an incredibly frustrating experience. If you're considering hiring this company, I strongly encourage you to ask detailed questions about timelines, project management, and completion before signing a contract. Our experience with Michael Nash Design Build & Homes was very positive overall, and we're happy with how our home turned out. We renovated the entire second floor of our 1970s house in Northern Virginia, including three bedrooms, an office, and two bathrooms. The scope of work was extensive: all new windows, several enlarged window openings, new siding, hardwood floors throughout, new lighting, custom built-in wardrobes, multiple walk-in closets, a custom bookshelf, and relocating the primary bathroom to create a completely new master suite layout. The craftsmanship and attention to detail are excellent. Everything feels solid, well-built, and thoughtfully planned. The custom work, especially the bathrooms and built-ins, came out beautifully. The project experienced some delays and took longer than we originally expected. There were times when the extended timeline was challenging, but we never felt that quality was being sacrificed just to finish faster. In the end, we got exactly what we envisioned - and even a few extra features we hadn't originally planned that made the finished space even nicer. It was a significant investment, but we're very happy with the outcome and would recommend Michael Nash to anyone planning a major renovation. read more

Sonny and I talked about the constant problems and ongoing issues. He asked me to give him a chance to make things right and well I am happy to report he kept his word. We hired Michael Nash Design & Build for a major home renovation that included our kitchen, patio/3-season room, and closet. Their sales pitch was compelling. We paid the full six-figure cost upfront (big mistake) based on an agreed timeline and scope of work. One year later, nothing has been completed. The kitchen was supposed to be finished in October 2025. As of May 11, 2026 (more than 7 months past the promised completion date), we still do not have a kitchen and much work remains undone. Even the partial progress on the kitchen has required constant follow-up on our end--begging, pushing, and dealing with ongoing stress just to get any work completed. Work has been extremely sporadic, with long gaps between visits. At most, 1-2 workers show up once or twice a week, and there are often stretches of several weeks where no one comes at all. The patio and closet projects have not even begun, despite being scheduled to start over eight months ago. Communication is equally difficult. Our concerns and requests are either ignored or met with shifting timelines and more broken promises. Not a single deadline we've been given has been honored, not even close. Whenever we contact the so-called project manager or the owner to inquire about the status, there are always a myriad of excuses for why they are unable to speak to us ("funeral", "sick relatives", "family emergency", or that they themselves are "sick at the hospital"). What should have been an exciting experience for our family has turned into a nightmare and one of the most stressful experiences we've ever had. It has impacted our family in ways I cannot even describe here. A few months ago, under threat of legal action, the owner visited our home. He blamed his staff and personally promised completion by a specific date--one he has now missed multiple times himself. In the latest promise, he looked straight into my eyes and said that he wanted to prove to me that he was an honest guy and promised the kitchen would be done by March 15. It is almost 2 months later and the kitchen is not completed. This company lacks communication, accountability, respect for timelines, and basic customer service. Unfortunately, we have since heard similar experiences from other customers as well. We are moving ahead with our legal options at this point. Please be cautious if considering Michael Nash, and based on our experience, we recommend that you avoid paying the full cost upfront even if you decide to hire them. read more

Today is 14 July. Finally someone showed up to work on our addition. 9 months ago Shawn told us that he would have a full crew working to complete our project. That never happened. Here are a few pics. Significant completion on means nothing on there payment schedule which was December 2023. We were told our project would be move in ready. Now there's mold from the water leaks. Nothing has been discussed on how they are going to correct these issues. Someone finally showed up at 1040 today. With the stress of being caregivers for my 90 year father, this has affected us mentally & financially. Please do not fall for the fancy, glowing show room with awards. I can also tell you that their showroom is like a messy TJ Maxx store. On June17, 2024, I decided to make this update because that was the scheduled day for the delivery of my kitchen. However, nothing has happened so far. There is chaos everywhere: - Chaos in promises: The company owner promised to personally start the work and have weekly calls with me, but that only happened in the first week. - Chaos in work: The extension was built in 6 days, including two days where a single worker did most of the work. The electrical and plumbing only took two days. - Four months have passed and I am still waiting for the kitchen to be finished, but only 8 days of work have been done on it. - Chaos and serious mistakes in measurements: The measurements were taken incorrectly, forcing me to change the window size to a smaller one. - Delay in delivering the window until the beginning of this week: Upon installation, my husband and I discovered a mistake in the measurements, requiring adjustments to be made in the construction. If we hadn't noticed it ourselves, we would have faced even bigger mistakes. Additionally, when the window was finally delivered, it was left outside on my driveway for two whole days, one of which it was raining. There was essentially no coordination between the delivery date and the day the workers were supposed to start installing the window. We were supposed to travel to our country after the kitchen was finished to visit my sick father-in-law. Unfortunately, due to their delays, we lost my father-in-law without seeing him or saying goodbye. We informed them of our need to travel, but as usual, they didn't care. read more

I've used Michael Nash in the past for both extensive interior and exterior work, and am currently having them completely update a rental townhouse that hasn't been updated in 30 years. There's no scope of work that they can't handle--electrical, plumbing, flooring, finished basements, and of course, kitchens and baths--you name it! I also really appreciate the advice they provide as to which choices and styles are currently popular, and not already out-of-date (tastes seem to change quickly these days). So I would definitely recommend them for any and all work, inside and outside. read more

Caution !. Frustrating Experience with Michael Nash Design Build Our backyard project with Michael Nash has been a disaster--dragging on for over two years with no completion in sight. Communication has been terrible, with calls and messages routinely ignored. Worker coordination is chaotic, and the quality of work is unacceptable. Many works have to be re do. Delay and delay....promises that was easy to make, but habitually difficult for them to keep.... Lack of business accountability... For Example: They designed and built an outdoor water feature that has leaked twice and looks visually unpleasant--far from what was promised. The lack of professionalism has caused unnecessary stress, especially since we're paying for a service they're failing to deliver. Even our neighbors have started complaining about the prolonged mess and disruption. Michael Nash is by far one of the worst companies I have ever had to deal with. This company operates like a pyramid-style scam. They promise you everything and even offer a 10% discount if you pay 100% of the project upfront to make it look attractive -- but believe me, it is NOT worth it. Personally, this situation caused so much stress that it even created problems in my marriage. I have been without a kitchen for over a year, constantly receiving empty promises. No one answers calls except Martin at the front desk. There is always an excuse -- Sonny is sick, Sonny is in the hospital, someone had an accident, someone is on vacation. There is always a new story. It's one lie after another. You also have to monitor every step of the project because they promise high-quality materials, but if you are not present, they will bring the cheapest materials possible. Another example, when they removed an electrical outlet, they cut the wire and left it covered only with electrical tape. I don't understand how they are still in business. They have no consideration for their clients. I am in contact with several other clients experiencing the exact same problem. They paid 100% upfront and are still waiting for their projects to be completed. It's the same pattern every time: they promise everything until you sign the contract -- and then the nightmare begins. Their workers often show up without materials, sit in their cars for hours, and work maybe two hours the entire day. The wall finishing quality is very poor -- they only applied one coat of paint. What's ironic is that if you read the reviews, many of them praise Sonny and his team as the best part of the company, saying they always answer calls. That has been the complete opposite of my experience. They never answer, and you can't even leave a voicemail because their mailbox is always full. Please do your research before getting involved with this company. And if you decide to sign a contract, NEVER PAY 100% UPFRONT. Also research them on Google. Our family project was signed and fully paid for 6 years ago. It is yet to be completed. This contract was signed in 2019 and it's about to be the end of 2024 and still we sit here like idiots realizing we messed up and went with the wrong company. We have experienced the worst service from this company than any other company we have ever dealt with. I was going back and forth deciding whether or not to leave a review because I do not normally do this. But I can't in good faith let people fall into this company that has destroyed my family's relationships because of this home project. This is a terrible company that will use every excuse in the book. From being sick to employees having COVID to having no employees for actual work to family dying to being in the hospital. Emergency after emergency have occurred. My parents in the first few years were the most patient, understanding and forgiving people. Michael Nash - Sonny, Shawn, Martin and this so called Sam took advantage of them and they decided to pay in full because they were advised of a special discount to pay upfront. This is still a business, right? Shouldn't certain parts of the project be completed by certain time periods. Martin is there glorified messenger. Shawn is a so called "project manager" that is the absolute worst with communication. Sam is a "ghost" assistant to the owner Sonny. We've heard that Sam is the only one to relay messages to Sonny. You are lucky if Sonny even decides to call back or text back. Sonny did at first, same old stories as the other reviews saying he will personally handle it and will call you weekly and that was several months ago. He has not called any of my family members since then. It's all lies at this point. Who are you to believe? I gotta give it to Martin because he seems to be the only one running all the messages yet he also "can't reach Sonny" directly. I presume he must feel a little of guilt and if he doesn't, then he just is as much as fault as everyone else involved. If you are dealing with any of the people listed, run and don't walk. RUN AWAY! Promises were made week after week and year after and year and nothing. I'm angry for my family. DO NOT GET INTO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. They will give you more headache and heartache than any one person or any one family deserves. The disappointment and frustration are huge. What is embarrassing is the fact that friends and family and neighbors will come over to ask is your project done. Nope. We don't talk about it. Because it just makes everyone upset. We found out many vendors they use don't even want to work with them or stopped working with them. There company could give zero (excuse my language) but zero ***** and could care less what your family is going through. This has emotionally and physically taken a toll on our family. For God's sake, I hope my parents will live to the day that it will be completed. but should this project that was only supposed to take a few months take 10 years? Because that's what it is looking like. We had an enclosure, storage, patio, deck and under the deck to be completed. Like idiots, we paid in full. Ask me if any of it has been actually completed or finished. NONE. They measured everything wrong. Everything is half *ss. Nothing is at 100%. Hopefully this will deter anyone from making the worst decision of our lives choosing this company on their next home project. Don't do it. If I can rate them a zero, I would. All my family wants is for the project to be fully completed as we asked and paid for. Is that too much to ask, 6 years later? Don't you want to be done with us calling, texting and nagging your business? But why are we the ones to keep up the communication. Michael Nash should have been communicating with us and not the other way around. But when you go months without a worker or any form of communication, why did we let it get this far? It has been while that we were suffering with our small leaving area , last year we called Michael nash , sonny and sam came by and offered to extend our house in both sides and make each level about 2 times, our basement and main level extended to make one bedroom and garage and second level extended to make all bathroom much bigger, now the job has %90 progress and we just need to install accessories in bathroom and finish the punch list. Some of the demo material is still sitting outside in front of the house. They said that work was delayed because of materials arriving on site but once arrived, the big boxes of cabinets, flooring, etc are just sitting in the garage for months! No sign of the materials stack in the garage reducing after two months of them arriving. No sense of urgency to get the work done. Never should have paid them 100% in advance. Update: Apparently, Michael Nash doesn't own a long ladder. They expect their Painters, who are Full Time Employees with Michael Nash, to bring their own long ladders. Do not do business with Michael Nash. They will lie and not answer calls or texts for weeks for financial gain. We engaged Michael Nash to renovate two bathrooms and a basement, and to replace our windows throughout our house. They have failed to meet basic health and safety standards, and have not completed even basic aspects of the project. We have had a rat in our house following unhygienic disposal of garbage; toilets and bathtubs in our front yard despite clear contractual and professional obligations to remove or provide an appropriate container; exposed nails that thankfully did not cause harm to young kids because we were diligent and addressed before they could cause harm; open and unlocked doors and missing keys to our home on a regular basis; and a door completely off its hinges and exposed to below freezing temperatures for days. We could go on with additional failures in meeting contractual and professional obligations, but won't. Instead, we will say...don't do business with them. This company should be rated as extremely negative. In my 40+ years in the area I have never come across any construction company this bad, dishonest, and devoid of any professionalism, and work ethic. And it does it with style. Run! Stay far away! If you really are a masochist and want to be punished and are seeking redemption from sins committed go ahead and contract with these guys. All the bad reviews here tell the same story: They promise a lot, deliver nothing, take your money, and think nothing about lying and acting 'in your face'. In response to its glossy flyer I contacted Michael Nash in November 2023 to do a 3 car garage conversion to an in-law suite and to put a new carport with a balcony on the existing driveway. They explained they provided a free 2 step consultation: 1) measurement visit, and 2) an in person design meeting at their Fairfax office. They sent someone out for measurement and scoping the work on a Wednesday. He was very professional. He set us up for an in person meeting with Sonny, the main guy and CEO for that Saturday. He is their lead designer, trains everyone, and has 36 years tenure, We met Sonny on Saturday. Sonny showed us a diagram of the converted garage and the carporand went through their 8 step process of starting any project. We were asked whether we wanted basic or classic for the Project. We decided on classic. We were very impressed by all this. Sonny then repeatedly asked, on November 11th or so, "Do you want October, November or December prices?" He said the prices were going up 10% or 15% per month but he could "make a call and possibly get the October price since we reached out to them on November 3". It felt like a car dealership where you sit while they leave and act like they are getting special permission for a special price just for you from some higher up. Sonny repeatedly said that if I reach a decision and sign THIS VERY DAY, he "MIGHT be able to get the lower October price". This was due to "supply chain issues" and "who knows how things will go". He scribbled figures that cascaded exponentially over the next few months and implied I needed to decide immediately or lose out. He also said that they had an opening for January start date and if we hurried we could get the project started then and it would be completed in 2 months, otherwise it would have to begin in April at April prices. . Really my mistake for not cutting and running at that stage. Unfortunately for us, we contracted with Michael Nash Design Build & Homes (MNDBH) to convert the existing three car garage into a new in-law suite and, build out a New Carport with a balcony above on the driveway to the garage. All this was to be done in the MNDBH classic package, 'the ultimate in luxury' the Company calls it. Work was to begin on January 8th and to be completed in 2 to 4 months. The contract was signed on November 29, 2023. We paid in advance the total 'discounted' cost of the job which was $150,000. We were told that a Mr. Fred Shahri would be the construction manager. Fred showed up a month later, around January 9, and after going over the preliminaries like obtaining a key for the house and getting the lay of the garage and driveway, was very vague on when the work would begin whereas the contract had indicated a start date of January 8, 2024. Since January 8th, work on the garage conversion and carport project has been marginal. On average 2 people show up for work for 4 hours once or twice a week. As of June 23, 2024 the garage has had the garage doors removed, the entrance has been blocked and the garage walls inside have been framed. Plumbing and electrical rough ins have been completed. This reflects at most a month of actual full-time work. It has taken numerous efforts and escalation to Sonny to get Fred to focus on our project and keep it going. He hardly returns my calls and is always extending the dates of milestones to be reached. According to the latest schedule, work is 3 months behind the revised schedule which was 3 months behind the original schedule. Michael Nash believes in making commitments but then breaking them, regularly. Oh! They are bad! We do not even have use of the garage. For no reason and through no fault of ours, we have had six extremely frustrating months and are out of $150,000 with nothing substantial to show for it except for a messed up empty garage. The irony of the whole situation is that we continue to receive those glossy flyers from Michael Nash promising quality work. Our story is very typical, just read some of the other horrible reviews here. They are true. "This company is terrible. We are 26 weeks into a 8-16 week project. Garage conversion, carport, deck and patio. Craftsmanship is terrible. There is no communication. What you are told is never what happens. This was an expensive project almost $150k. In the end, they did a decent job, but only because I was watching them like a hawk, catching and making them fix every mistake, many of which were huge (starting a foundation with the wrong dimensions, submitting plans to the county with the garage on the wrong side of the house, pouring lumpy pavement, installing a door in the wrong part of an existing wall, routing power illegally such that Dominion was legally required to cut all of our power in the coldest part of winter, etc). In the end, the "six week job" took an entire YEAR to complete. They made constant mistakes, and if I hadn't caught them myself, the result would have been a complete disaster (as it is, there were a few things I didn't catch, which I'll have to pay someone else to fix). Hire *anyone* else. Michael Nash Design & Build is a disaster. read more

They don't swerve a star. Worst contractor I've ever worked with. I wish I would've known how horrible they are from my neighbors and friends because not one single person has had a good experience. Our kitchen was empty for 5-6 months before installing anything. The worst customer service. Zero project management. What was supposed to take 8-10 weeks took a year!! A year later, the cracks in their work started to show. I don't know how they are still in business!! Oh and they told us they would come do the work if we write a good review!! I strongly advise anyone considering Michael Nash for any project (large or small) to take their business elsewhere. Do not make the same mistake as we did. We signed a contract with Michael Nash in May 2023 to re-purpose a 9x9 full bathroom into a split powder room and laundry room. We were very aware of the reputation of Michael Nash: expect a lot of delays, but you'll be happy with the finished product. Despite reservations, we were pleased with the proposal and vision for the space, and were accepting of a Sept/Oct 2023 promised start date. We told ourselves: "it's an easy project for them....what could go too wrong?" If you elect to go with Michael Nash, this is what you can expect: An antiquated design experience. Michael Nash doesn't scan the space like most modern design & build companies, but instead takes crude measurements. The design team uses 2D rendering (not 3D). We ultimately used online 3D software to design the space ourselves. Consequently, once the remodel happens, you'll find doors can't open all the day, cabinets don't fit the space, and everything is solved with "filler" or "caulk." Your project will start late. Michael Nash will give you verbal promises of starting. They will talk about waiting for the "A Team" to become available and make excuses that COVID has caused staffing shortages. The actual start date (ours didn't start until Feb 2024) will be at least 6 months after their first commitment. Your Project Manager will resort to random text messages and phone calls and actually deliver zero project management services. You will have to be the project manager. You will never know when/if anyone is showing up to your house that day, nothing will ever be presented to you in writing, and you will resort to desperately calling and texting your PM for updates, and for directing the work yourself when people actually do show up. They will leave demolition trash in your driveway for weeks. You will have to call and beg for removal at least 5 times. Your neighbors will make jokes about using the toilet sitting out on your lawn. They will then use your garage as their own storage space instead of a warehouse. We've had doors in our garage for nearly 2 months. The high quality craftsmanship they promised...you may get it after significant rework....but be prepared to spend hours of your life fighting for it, and likely just giving up at certain points. We have lost count on the number of craftsmanship and installation issues. Multiple failed county inspections. Wall tile installed using pieces of cardboard as spacers. Ordering and installing the wrong hardware. Installations with product defects (W/D unit was installed with huge dent). The quality has been shockingly bad. At first, Michael Nash will apologize and commit to "making it right." The full-time job of the owner, Mr. Sonny Nazemian, might be fielding complaint inquiries from disgruntled customers. He came to my house multiple times, made multiple promises that the work would be completed by certain dates, and each time, he was wrong. He joked he would give me his first-born son if the job wasn't done by Mother's Day (I'm writing this review 3 months later after that promise and the job is still not complete). He stopped responding 2 months ago, his team does not return phone calls, and he stood me up for multiple meetings. The lack of professionalism starting with the owner of the company carries through to the entire team. The only date and time Michael Nash honored was when they came to my house to pick-up the check. My project is still not complete, the excuses continue to pile-up (when PM actually speaks with me), and I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I feel like it's my civic duty to warn others from making the same mistake as we did. read more

I had posted a very negative review several months ago and was contacted by a man who persuaded me to take it down and said that our kitchen would be finished in a week. Well, now it's been over a year and it's still not done. This has been a terrible nightmare! We were told that it would take 8-10 weeks to complete our kitchen. It had been 6 months when I had posted my last review and now we are over the year mark and, although we are at least able to use our kitchen, it is STILL not done. Parts are still missing, a pantry door was rigged up by gluing two doors together to create one door, inspection failed several items and floors have still not been fixed after I was promised that they would fix them. I would never have chosen this company had I known how terrible the experience would be or how dishonest they are. As for value, no amount of money would have me choose this company, in fact, they couldn't have paid ME for this experience! I'm so sorry but I have to warn others to stay clear of this business. I will repost below my honest previous experience, the one Michael Nash had persuaded me to take down. Previous post: This company's top talent is to deceive and to lie. Don't let the "awards" trick you as they did me. Read the lowest reviews on sites that they can't take down, like on Yelp and the BBB. Est. date of completion: 8-10 weeks. Project is now, so far, 182 days or about 6 months late and I have less than half of my cabinets only partially installed and wrong cabinets stored in my garage with garbage. A window is not finished, cabinets not all in or even on site and are not the ones we chose ,no island started, lights and appliances are not installed, trim work not done, paint not finished, no template for counters created, no sinks, faucets nor appliances put in. They pushed me into contract with them with a lie, start dates first were and now end dates are constantly changing. They lied about permits and inspections, failing one inspection. They took our money to purchase a range hood, liner and sink of my choice and sent different ones that were a lot cheaper and in wrong sizes. Home cameras have caught them refinishing my floors with cheap finish, not the high quality one I had chosen. They leave the garbage, make mistakes (like with electricity) and then have to cut back into my walls to fix them, and leave them crooked and awkward. They have left my doors all unlocked, they don't respond to calls, leaving me hanging. They stained our carpets with floor finish by our banister. The promised on-site meetings with our build manager doesn't happen and with no explanation. It's been almost a year now without a kitchen, we have crammed everything into my dining room which is now destroyed due to misuse. For nearly a year I've been washing dishes for my family of 6 in our laundry room utility sink, we've missed having family events and visits and opportunities to host guests that we were expecting. We're living out of boxes with no end in sight. Absolutely the worst business ever. read more

Update to review posted a few months ago: We are now at 14 months on a 21 week project. Painters were a no-show today and even though I've pinged my project manager, no update. What a fool I am to have believed them yet again. I will update if they are ever done and out of my house. From December 2022: 2 years since I after signing up with them. 11 month delay in starting, even though every few weeks they would tell me that they were about to start. And still not done after nearly a year. This is not a slight delay, this is ridiculous. The worst part is being told that a worker will be coming and then no one shows. Happens every week. Estimated time for 2.5 bathrooms was 21 weeks. Currently at 44 weeks and 1 bathroom done, 1 bathroom not done (also making 2 bedrooms unusable), and half bath not started. Don't put yourself through this, find someone else. I'll update on the finished project if it's ever done. read more

Michael Nash is, without a doubt, the worst company you could ever hire! We contracted for a primary bathroom remodel in October 2023. When speaking to the owner, Sonny Nazemian, he quoted us a 6-8 week completion timeline, although we later learned the fine print highlighted a potential 10-12 week completion timeline, which would have been fine. THE ACTUAL COMPLETION OF THE PROJECT TOOK 29 WEEKS.....WITH NO ACCESS TO OUR PRIMARY BATHROOM!!! The number of mistakes, blatant lies, and incompetence that were made is completely mindboggling. Every item was spelled out specifically in the contract and is as follows: * Sonny specifically indicated that the construction area would be cleaned up and trash would be removed at the end of each work day. We had the majority of the demolition trash, INCLUDING THE BATHTUB, sitting in our driveway for almost a week! * They built an incorrect shower bench that had to be re-built, despite the blueprint hanging on the wall. * Installed black trim around the shower and niches, despite the entire bathroom being completed with brushed nickel fixtures, necessitating removal and reinstallation of the tile. * Shower glass had to be recut because the hinge holes were placed in the wrong location due to the angle of the shower walls. * Installed the incorrect shower drain requiring removal and reinstallation of the shower floor tile. * Did not order the lighting (which we verified at contract signing was available including a chandelier, 3-light vanity lighting, and single light sconces) until the end of the project for which the single light sconces were no longer available in the U.S. WE finally located the sconces in the United Kingdom, which then had to be completely rewired for U.S. lighting and bulb socket sizes. * MORE THAN A YEAR AFTER SIGNING THE CONTRACT, we began using the bathroom. We experienced a raw sewage back-up in our basement. We had to find emergency plumbing services to snake the drain and a video inspection was recommended. The inspection revealed tile that had been introduced into the system from the construction which had to be removed through a hydro-jet service to push the object though the pipes to the county sewer line at the cost of approximately $2,000, which was reimbursed through a reduction in our final payment. * The project manager, Mike, only showed up when we complained about the mistakes being made, and more often, he only showed up to collect the next payment! He was completely unprofessional and consistently spoke to us in a demeaning, condescending way. * The communication by the entire team was appalling. No one ever communicated what the weekly work schedule would be like - sometimes getting a text from the project manager that a worker would arrive that day....after they were already working! * The owner Sonny, made a big a show about "taking care of the problems" for us and gave us his personal cell phone number to reach out in the future. This was a dead end because you could not even leave a message as his mailbox was not yet set up. He only returned a call from us on two occasions....in a year! * When Michael Nash quotes you a project timeline...DO NOT believe them. We were led to believe the work would take place on a daily basis during normal working hours. Some weeks they worked for a few hours or a couple of half days. Other weeks they never worked at all. Near the end of the project, they tried to shoehorn us in on the weekends. The project manager actually verbalized, "There are other projects that have been waiting longer than you." We contracted with Michael Nash because of the many good reviews online and dozens of design awards/accolades that they prominently display in their showroom. Our experience was anything BUT award winning! They are not honest, they are not responsive, they are not competent, and they do not manage their projects appropriately. And to add insult to injury, we were never offered an apology or a single penny of compensation/reduction in the total cost of the project which came in around $60K. read more

Outstanding Customer Service Michael Nash remodeled our bathrooms and kitchen a number of years ago. When the Microwave over the stove broke and was not repairable, and we found out 36" microwaves no longer exist, Michael Nash saved the day! We provided the new microwave and paneling, and they came and removed the old one, installed the new one, put in the new paneling, and it looks like it was always there - all done at their expense as part of their lifelong customer service! So appreciative because we really didn't know what to do and we did not want to replace the kitchen cabinets! Thank you Michael Nash!! read more

Project went many months over their projected schedule, they didn't follow many terms in the contract, and I'm still paying reputable contractors to fix thIngs they screwed up. They suck you in with nice designs and lots of attention up front, then don't show up to work for weeks at a time once the project finally gets moving. Buyer beware! read more

STAY AWAY from Michael Nash!!! I've been dealing with them for over two years, was told my basement project would be 14-16 week project, and now I'm in year two still having them finish items. I had to include legal counsel at one time, had to contact BBB twice, and they won't communicate via email or put anything in writing to save their butt. They even had me take down a review I posted last year in order to get more progress done in the basement. Please DO NOT use them, they deserve to be out of business! I had great experience with Michael Nash design and build for my custom new home although it took longer than expected. They provide a full range of services including a Strong design and construction team. Michael Nash has own design architect and interior designer . This saves you a lot of hassle and a lot of time during the construction period. For a price advantage for custom new home customers without hassle and prices are very reasonable compared to outer builders who asking for sky- high prices. Michael Nash provide three packages to new custom home customers 1) Economy home package for budgeting customer 2)Dream home package for Desired home customers 3) Premium and Luxury package for providing  ultimately design concept and building material. I chose the premium package.. the advantage of this one is that you can choose the configuration design and material you want without hassle Sonny is CEO & FOUNDER and soul  of Michael & Nash .As long as you tell him your own design ideas. He will draw plans for you through his own in-house architect. Another advantage is that they have their own 75 employees to do all the work. so the quality is guaranteed for consumers. but many other builders hired subcontractors . although the speed is faster. The quality can only depend on GOD. I will also introduce the main employees of Michael Nash because you will be in contact if you are going to hire them for your project. I am deeply impressed by them . because they have a kind heart and smile every time and sincerely help you complete your projects Shawn as General Manager for coordinator between you and company for schedule for your project. Terrible. We are 52 weeks into a 14-18 week project. Three season room, deck and patio. Craftsmanship is terrible. There is no communication. What you are told is never what happens. This was an expensive project almost $300k. Please learn from my lesson and find someone else. read more

Do yourself a favor and go with ANY other company. They will lie directly to your face and your project will drag on for what feels like forever (6+ months from the start). The project managers don't answer calls, texts, etc. and you will be stuck managing your own project. Zero communication and zero care in the world from this "highly reputable company." We had 2.5 bathrooms remodeled in 2018. I was initially angry because (it appeared they had signed more contracts than they could handle in time) the work took considerably longer than we had agreed upon. However, after it was finally done I was exceedingly happy with the quality and can recommend. Two other points worth mentioning: (1) we got really good and well-informed help at every stage of designing the bathrooms, and it was not a trivial design - each BR had its own and very distinct style, - nor did we feel any pressure to settle for cheaper options, even though we paid a lump some and more expensive materials meant less profit for them. (2) They promised life warranty, and I was not taking it very seriously. But, they did come promptly every time we had an issue (three of four in seven years), and did fix everything for free. Oh, and they actually gave us a few thousands back (on a $70 K project) because of undue (and serious) delays. Disclaimer: I am writing this review because MN suggested me to be part of their customer loyalty program, and writing a review here was a condition. The craftsmanship is top notch! Everything was done well and I expect will last for years to come. Unfortunately the length of time it takes to complete a job is enough to keep me from using them again. A project that was supposed to take 3-4 months, ended up taking over a year. We had to call daily and even threaten use of an attorney to get the job completed. They would send workers for a day, then we wouldn't see anyone again for weeks.
