Many of the employees are absolutely wonderful, some notable names I recall from my visit was BobbieJo, Leslie, Larry, and Ashe, although many other employees were very kind and welcoming, however, there was a few notes about another employee that I feel was perhaps having a bad day, A tall individual, I didn't catch their name, was complaining rather loudly to a customer about quite a few things and giving seemingly snide remarks about other people, now I'm unsure if perhaps this worker was simply having a bad day or if this is their typical behavior- But as a first experience it wasn't all too pleasant, to hear a worker complaining and calling their fellow employees some rather not too kind words I would rather not repeat. Other than that general experience, the selection was sparce, but given the size of the store I wasn't all too surprised. Again the overall general review I give this place is that while it definitely needs some TLC and a Major upgrade for the towns sake- the people seem kind with a few exceptions and the store was at the very least, comforting in a small town charm way.

We stopped at this location on our way to Alturas, CA to pick up some croissants. After a quick tour of the store I asked a man who was adjusting the bread shelf if there was a bakery and he none too politely informed me there wasn't one. His demeanor was not a good first impression. The exterior store design is what I remember from my 1960's childhood and the interior is tight. I have been to many small towns with Safeway stores and they have the newer layouts that have all the departments mentioned above. Lakeview deserves the upgrade to a whole new store.

The Hart Mtn Store, had wifi and a bar and grill. The folks at the store were friendly and super helpful, getting me in touch with my VRBO host, who apparently, had been locked out of VRBO and couldn't get me my check-in instructions. The host apparently was getting the first line of my messages, I was lucky enough to start one with, "I am at the store in Plush...", the host called me and gave my info over the phone, while I was sitting at the bar, in the Groceries, Bar and Grill. I can't say enough about the folks who run and frequent the Store in Plush, helpful, friendly, decent people.

The mattresses are quite soft, which didn't bother me, but my husband's back was not happy. There was no table or chairs in the room, so there is no place in the room to eat. The amenities are few, and the TV shares channels with other rooms, so you may not get the channel you want. They do have fair WiFi. The owners are helpful and friendly. Still, for $60/night, this is a decent roadside motel that will suffice well for sleep and relaxation after a day on the road, or a big meal at The Cowboy Dinner Tree.

Any time I need something, all I have to do is think about it, and BAM! there it is - at Freddy's! Decent selection of organic vegetables and Natural Foods. The Simple Truth Organic line of products has continued to expand with more vegan, plant-based options, and that pleases me greatly!
