TLDR: Hit or miss. Some items were tasty, but some were way too oily. Also, we found a long black hair in the onion bhaiji. My brother was excited to discover that Pak India was having 25% off for lunch during Ramadan. I guess they need to boost sales during daylight during this time. People who don't fast can take advantage! He ordered a bunch of dishes for us: Onion Bhaiji ($5.99), Chicken Pakora ($8.99), Naan ($2.99), Chicken Biryani ($17.99), Butter Chicken ($16.99), Beef Curry ($17.99), Lamb Chana Daal ($17.99), Malai Kofta ($14.99) and basmati rice ($5.99). I went with him to the restaurant to pick up the food. The Onion Bhaiji wasn't as crispy as I had hoped and we found a long black hair partially embedded in one of the pieces o_O People working in the kitchen need to wear hairnets! Luckily, none of the other dishes contained hair. The Chicken Pakora were tasty, but were more like chicken tenders. They were chicken breast strips battered and deep-fried. The Chicken Pakora I've had in the past (in Toronto) were chopped up chicken mixed with batter and rolled into balls and deep-fried. I was expecting something different but I still enjoyed the dish. The naan was soft and fluffy. The basmati rice was nicely cooked. The Chicken Biryani had a decent amount of chicken pieces in it. It was ok, but not as flavourful as I've had elsewhere. The Butter Chicken was phenomenal. One of the best butter chicken dishes I've had. The sauce was so smooth and creamy and I enjoyed the chunks of breast meat. The Beef Curry and Lamb Chana Daal were both incredibly oily. Look at my pictures, so much oil! I liked that the meat was tender and boneless and not gamey tasting, but I couldn't get over the excessive amount of oil. I did like that the Daal wasn't too mushy. The Malai Kofta were too mushy, they weren't firm enough. Although the sauce they were in was tasty. I'm glad I got to try this restaurant. The regular prices are a bit on the high side in my opinion, but I would consider getting the Butter Chicken, Chicken Pakora and naan again if they had another sale. The dine-in space is nice. The atmosphere is casual. Staff were courteous. The cashier almost didn't give my brother the 25% off discount. He noticed she didn't and asked about it. She at first said it was only for the buffet, but then said she'd ask her dad. She called him over and he confirmed, the discount applied to my brother's order and he corrected the bill. He was nice about it, so we were good. Lots of free parking in the plaza parking lot, but the spots are a bit tight and awkward. I don't love the parking situation at this plaza, but at least it's available and free. (51) read more

Good tasting Pakistani food. I had the chicken soup, seekh kabab, and naan. Everything tasted fresh. Service was good. A bit pricey for Canadian standards, but not a whole lot else to complain about. Everything is 100% Halal. I recommend. read more

I came here for the first time for dinner. It wasn't too busy but there was only one server working. Service was good. We got the butter chicken and lamb biryani. We also ordered some naan. Both meals were delicious and the portions were so generous we have leftovers to take home. They also have an extensive vegetarian menu. I really enjoyed our meal ! We were seated right away, service was fast and attentive. Since the owners are from South India there are alot of vegetarian options on the menu. I went for the paneer in a butter tomato sauce and palak paneer. Both dishes were delicious and a big enough portion. Each dish comes with rice and a naan, which was authentic and delicious. I stopped here with my mother on a quiet Monday early afternoon. There was one other customer in the restaurant and we were served promptly and the person took care of us really well. I have been in quiet restaurants before where you still have to wait for service, but here, they were very attentive. My mother loves spicy food and has had home made Indian food from a work friend so she knows what she likes and what to expect. She found the food was excellent, a great combination of tasty and spicy. We started with the chicken samosas that came with two dipping causes, both were great, a spicy greenish one and a spicy sweet brown one (don't ask me what they were called, lol). We added a garlic naan to the meal and it was awesome. You saw actual garlic and butter was brushed on with green herb. It was fresh and very flavourful. The dishes we had was a chicken karahi (spicy) and lamb madras (medium spicy) and they came with a very healthy helping of rice. We had enough for a couple of meals each, easily. Great portions and very flavourful dishes and amazing service made this place a highly recommend if you are craving Indian food in the Orleans area of Innes in the same mall as Moose McGuire's. read more

I truly love this restaurant. it really caught me by surprise when the outdoor sign didnt match with the inside. The inside is beautiful, clean, lovely and elegant, yet the sign looks very casual. But a great surprise it was! The food is top notch! Unlike other indian place like Rangolis, the value is MUCH better. The dishes are ultra fresh and delicious, incredibly satisfying, and it comes with a huge amount of rice, which for rangolis it does not, it costs extra. Will be continuing to visit! the service in my experience has always immensely friendly and very knowledgeable on whether or not dishes contain gluten or dairy. Much appreciated! read more

We went to PAK INDIA after fasting for 26.5 hours and reached at 8:20PM. The host seated us at a table after deliberating between 3 options and set the table. Since it was a buffet, we started to take food. We took the food to our table and was just about to eat. Around 8:34 the owner/manager comes to our table rudely and says that "YOU JUST CAN'T COME AND SEAT IN THE RESTAURANT AND THERE IS BOOKING". After mentioning that we were seated by the host pointing at him, the host just walked inside the kitchen. The owner/manager gets even more rude and tells us to leave. He starts shouting at us saying that we can take the food in our plates with us if we want but we have to leave!!!! We just left the Restaurant and ate at the nearest Nandos. FYI: there is a Nandos, 3mins drive from there. If anyone faces the same scenario. read more

ATMOSPHERE: Strip mall restaurant nestled in suburbia (Orleans). As with most other Indian restaurants, be on the alert for noisy families and their kids during weekends. FOOD: Better-than-average Indian restaurant. Not the biggest buffet selection, but what they offer is quite good. My wife absolutely loves their Chicken Biryani. SERVICE: Friendly service, eager to please -- however, with empty plates taking a little too long to clear away, there's no reason why this can't be improved upon. FINAL VERDICT: While they made a very positive impression on my wife, I'm simply OK with the place as an overall dining experience -- but that's not on account of the food, which gets a solid thumbs-up. Newer restaurant on Innes in Orleans. Greeted warmly by our charming waiter. We enjoyed Keema Naan (could be a meal in itself!), Roman Josh, and a mushroom masala (and of course, some basmati rice). Had my first visit at Pak India a couple of months ago. The first thing I noticed upon entering, was the warmth of the seating area and combined with the fragrant aroma of cooked spices. I enjoyed the buffet and have since returned a few times. The food is fresh, tender, flavourful and is a delight for the eyes. The Chai Masala is made from scratch and is well worth the wait. This is probably one of the most unique restaurants at treating customers with total DISRESPECT and does not have the minimum courtesy to be sorry about a mistake they made at placing us in a table already reserved. Asking customers to leave when they already have food in front of them and are just about to break their fast ( in the month of Ramadan) is definitely not a common practice in providing customer service. I visited this place today, Sunday 8th july 2018. And I have to say I am impressed,which forced me to take down my previous review. First of all foods were great. Not a very big selection in the buffet but you will find preety much everything includes in to stimulate your every taste buds.Nans were great but the great edition was the puri which you can enjoy with your halwa(desert). Lastly the paya( bonemarrow soup) was the best I've ever tasted besides my Mom's. And trust me when I am saying that cuz I've tasted pakistani food in lots of places in Usa and Canada. Now secondly lets come to the price which is resonable and you dont feel you had to break the bank to eat such good food unlike other indian places which I wont mention but you guys are smart enough to figure out. Lastly the service, good service, a little slow on removing plates but everytime they did with a smile on the face. DISCRIMINATING PAK INDIA! They yell at paying customers after seating them with food for not having a reservation. They shout at customers to leave with their plates of food. PAK INDIA did this to my family and I today after seating us with water and dates for our first meal in 26 hours of fasting. They use Ramadan to promote their business but can't accommodate fasting customers. read more

Giving 2 stars for cleanliness, salad, papadum and sauces. Rest of the meal was below standard. We were 4. We ordered chicken dishes to share. We do not like thigh meat because we always find it full of fat and cartilage. We asked waiter (who might have been the owner) to help us pick chicken dishes with white meat. Chose what he suggested. Only two dishes came with white meat (and very little of it...maybe 12 tiny chunks in a big bowl of sauce). Other 2 dishes had thigh meat...cartilage and all. The sauces were ok but not exceptional. We also ordered 2 types of paratha bread. They seemed the same.... large pancakes soaked of grease. No flakiness at all. So all in all, I will not return. If you like white juicy chicken in your indian dishes, stick to Pearl of India. (And seriously, I am really surprised that the reviews are so high for this place, suspicious!) read more
