They offer soda, water, beer and wine while you are serviced which is pretty cool. While my treatment was costlier than I am use to ($56) I do recognize that the service/salon is very upscale. I'm blown away by this poor service. My acrylic nails lasted about a week and a half. My regular nail tech was out of town so I took a chance and tried this place which is only half a mile from my house. I tried pedicures there a couple years ago and also was majorly disappointed by the timer they set beside them and massage your legs for about 30 seconds. Regarding my nails again ...No wonder it only took about 30-40 minutes vs the almost 1.5 hours at my regular place. It's not that I want to spend a long time but why waste your time and money for something that lasts half the time it's supposed to. Very unhappy with my spa experiences. Pedicure: the polish on my great toes was very sloppy. When I pointed it out she did remove the messy polish and repainted to my satisfaction. The problem I have is why didn't she see what a horrible job she had done. Manicure: overall job was decent, however, when she was done. She pumped a squirt of lotion inside my hand then pointed to where I would need to pay. I'm accustomed to the having the lotion applied on my hands and arms; this sparked negative feelings toward her. My nails looked pretty good. i love to be festive during holidays and next day my nail design came 1/2 off next day completely gone and chipped on 3 fingers. I have been going here for almost 2 years now, and today's experience is the reason I will never be coming back. The woman was so ROUGH! I don't know if she was angry at me or life but she took it out of my hands. She bent my fingers in way they don't bend, rushed her work ( as you can see), so hard with the brush and literally slapped my hand! We were given two male nail techs, who, when we approached, did NOT say hello, did NOT smile at us, and RUSHED our services. My friend's nail tech had such a bad attitude that he frowned the entire time and stared at the tv behind her head. My nail tech was less rushy, however, he did not do my feet well; left dead skin on the sides of my big toes toes and colored "outside the lines". Came in from tucson and needed a quick normal polish change (not gel) on my nails and toes. First I was shocked at the price. 35$ total just for a normal polish change. I pay 20$ for a fill and polish in tucson and they are amazing. He took off my polish and buffed quickly, did not ask me wash the dust off just got to polishing on my dusty nails. I asked how much a manicure is and he said they don't offer them to people with acrylic nails wtf?! Why not?! I have a cosmology license and this makes no sense to me. He rushed through the toe polish change and again didn't rinse off the dust or even moisturize with basic water so my normally nice toes look dry and dusty and I had a glob of polish just dripping over my cuticle. I was really excited to get this design, and was told by my friends that the total price would be around $35. Since I didn't know much about nails, I put a lot of trust into the nail tech which may have been my mistake. She did not put an acrylic powder base or even a nude base like I showed in the picture, so you can see my nails which is quite unflattering. The tech told me to use three colors that look nothing like the original picture, but I went with it because I trusted her opinion. The line work was just so sloppily done, I am not very impressed by any of the nails and am so upset with the way they turned out. I ended up being charged $66 for the whole set ($32 for the design which looked nothing like I wanted it to). I called them once I got home and really looked at the nails and asked for some sort of refund, but all they could offer was $20 off my next appointment (which I will not be using). Additionally, neither myself nor my friend were offered a drink when we came in, and many of the nail techs had their masks below their noses. They offer complimentary beverages, including beer and wine. That's always a plus! Ben did my full set, he was very friendly and had a long conversation with me. It's been two days and while I was in the shower one of nails polish just popped right off and the others have chipped so bad and I'll I've done is laundry and play video games so I'm pretty sure thats not right. I got a full set of the dip nails both times I've visited - the first time was just so/so, nothing spectacular but not awful either; but my second visit was not great at all. I wasn't offered a beverage and the nail tech got my cuticle with her drill on two different fingers. She never apologized even though that was clearly painful as it made me jump. I also wasn't told to wash my hands until the very end, and when I get back to the station, another customer was sitting there and my stuff was moved. They are very conscious of appropriate protocols for COVID-19 and require masks when you enter the salon. I have felt comfortable each time I have scheduled an appointment and feel safe considering how careful they are to create distance between clients and how clean the stations are. Making an appointment is so easy, I have never had trouble getting a time that works for me! My last appointment was a fairly spontaneous decision and I called at around 11am and was able to get an appointment the same day at 5pm. They are super accommodating and find a way to fit you in, which I truly appreciate as a busy young professional! Something that I believe sets this salon apart is that they are EXTREMELY prompt. I usually show up a few minutes before my appointment time so I can choose my color, and I am always in a seat EXACTLY when my appointment is supposed to start! The nail techs are skilled and thorough. I have never been unhappy with my nails, and I am fairly picky so this is extremely impressive! Each time I have had my nails done here, they have taken the time to double and triple check that I am 100% satisfied with the shape of my nails! I will get a bit more detailed below, so if you aren't interested in the minutiae, just know that you absolutely should book an appointment, because it will be worth your time and money! LOCATION: - The salon is located in the Mesa Riverview strip mall and there is plenty of parking. I have never had any issues with finding a prime parking spot! - The shopping center is right off the 202, and the salon is very easy to find AMBIANCE: - Once inside, the ambiance is very peaceful! The neutral colors aid in relaxation, and they offer a complimentary drink for you to enjoy during your appointment (even a wide assortment of high quality 21+ beverages!) - COVID-19 PROTOCOL: you are required to wear a mask upon entering the salon, and all nail techs wear masks as well. Each manicure station has an acrylic barrier between you and the nail tech so it is extremely safe and very clean! PRICES: -I was thoroughly impressed by how reasonable their prices are! The salon feels very luxurious and they offer complimentary beverages, so all things considered, their pricing is phenomenal. I usually get an SNS manicure which typically runs $50 or more at the other salons that I've gone to of a similar luxury caliber, and Palace charges $38!
