After a rough visit at a local burger joint close by the Palace Theater, my visit here was a blast. It made my bad start to the evening much better. I've even seen George Carlin in here before he passed away a while ago, but today I saw Travis Tritt in here. Sounds quality was good, could have been a bit louder in my opinion, but a beautiful place to see a show at. If you have a chance to see any show here, I would go for it. You'll enjoy your visit.

Broadway at The Palace. Great theatre and the venue is huge. Lots of people showed up for Elf. Palace always has a problem with car parking. Too many cars not enough nearby lots. It is so bad, the 630 show did not start until 645, as they were waiting for late comers. Im not sure what can be done, but its like this at every major show. Inside lobby is small and gets overwhelmed with the crush of people. Docent staff is impeccable.

We came to the city on April 6th for Matteo Lane's show. The building was beautiful but a little difficult to leave at the end of the show with few exits. Bathrooms downstairs were a little cramped but had plenty of urinals.

Beautiful Historic Theatre with the entrance located in the base of the LeVeque-Lincoln Tower complex. The theater has great acrostics and no matter where you sit there doesn't really seem to be a bad seat in the house. Parking was easy. We always park at the LeVeque Tower parking garage for a set fee. It is always fun to attend an event here but this was an especially a good time as we had a friend come in from Greensboro, NC for the Tori Amos concert. Tickets were waiting at will-call, we picked them up, and in we went. It was a packed house and everything moved smoothly. Helpful hint is the upstairs bar generally has a shorter line than the downstairs especially before the shows as folks tend to gather at the lobby bars. Great show and love attending events at the palace. The charm of this place is remarkable, it's like stepping back into the 30's (with updates). Make sure to grab a show, play, or an event here is you have the opportunity.

Ron White's show was postponed twice due to Covid, so we were thrilled to finally see his show. It was his last here in Cbus since he will be retiring after 38 years. Great venue and helpful volunteers to help us find our seats. Parking on the street is free after 8pm on weekdays.

I have always wanted to check out this venue and finally was able to! I was taken away by the beauty and craftsmanship of this place. Staff was nice and helpful when it came to finding our seats. I hope to go to more events that will be hosted here.

The leg room is horrible. However I enjoy the plays. The seats don't seem as comfortable as the Ohio theater. It's not a bad viewing seat in the house .

I love this Columbus Theatre. I consider it an icon, a thing of beauty in our great city. The renovations they did sometime back spruced everything up, making it even more spectacular. Since the reopening during COVID they are requiring proof of vaccination and current photo ID to get in the door. They are also requiring face masks unless you are actively eating or drinking. These stipulations put myself and my husband at ease. We recently went to see Chelsea Handler at The Palace and it was phenomenal. The staff was so welcoming, friendly, and helpful. We did notice at times that the line to the restrooms can get long. So we highly suggest arriving early and using the restroom when the lines are lighter before the crowd arrives. Our show was hilarious. It felt good to laugh out loud in public with others. I always welcome a chance to see a show at The Palace and that has not changed. I highly suggest enjoying a show yourself at The Palace.

To me, being in a fine arts theatre is always something of grander and splendor - day's of lore. I was ecstatic to make a first visit to The Palace to watch the Columbus Symphony Orchestra preform for the Columbus Flamenco Festival. The theatre space itself is not huge. I didn't get a chance to ask about seat-count, but there's definitely less than The Ohio Theatre. I felt the seats are at more of a slant. I'm assuming that's because there's less seats. My mother and I were center seats about half way back from the stage, and it was a happy guess. Interesting to find the bathrooms down the steps. Never did get to ask if that was a sign of social class back in the days? Plenty of ushers all about. They all had a smile and were very polite. I will definitely go back to see their Flamenco Festival performance again next year. The dancers were icing on the top. The melodic sound of the orchestra was incredibly soothing and relaxing. Their blend of sound was wonderful.

Champions of Magic We had great seats on the lower level, a little more than half way back. We had plenty of time before the show began to walk around and look at this historical building. It was built in 1926 that started out as a movie palace. It currently seats 2,827 and functions as a multi-use performing arts venue. The theatre is in really good shape with lots of really cool architecture and historical photos on certain walls. The bathrooms were located about 3 floors below the lobby. It was neat to imagine what went on in there from long time ago. I noticed a room off to the side that want being used for anything and came to the conclusion based on what it looked like that it was phone booths. We enjoyed our time immensely and would love to come back again to see more shows.

Taken from Row V aisle seats 102/104.

I love the historical theaters in Columbus. Impeccably maintained, it is always a treat to go to the theater. Smaller than Ohio Theater, the Palace is just a lovely bit of history. The seats in most of these historic theaters are small and definitely not the most comfortable, but they are part of the authenticity of the space. If you ever have the chance to sit in one of the private boxes, it's a must! Nothing is more special than that experience!

Are dress shorts for men, appropriate attire during warmer evenings?

I would think so. I visited on a Sunday afternoon. There were people wearing jeans, gym shoes and baseball caps. Others were dressed business casual. It seems that you're allowed to wear whatever you choose.

This is one of the best local theatres in the Columbus area. My son and I started coming here…read moreregularly several years ago after we were blown away by their production of The Addams Family Musical. Prior to the performance, I had asked several locals about the theatre and was simply told that it was small, hence the name. Thank you, Captain Obvious. So, with not much to go on, my expectations were pretty low. Even so, the ticketing system for this theatre is ridiculously antiquated. To reserve a seat, you have to leave a message on their answering machine. Make sure you have lots of time on your hands when doing so because you will have to sit through a greeting that goes on forever with no way to bypass it. If there is a way, please let me know how. The message will ask you to leave your information and that your call will ONLY be returned if there is a problem with your reservation. I am the type of person who wants confirmation of my reservation. Because this theatre is a good 45 minute drive from my house, I want to feel confident that my reservation is in good order. Not surprisingly, since coming here my reservations have been botched twice. Once, I left my message several days in advance, but It was never received. Last week, my message was received, but my seats were given away to someone else who also (supposedly) had my (very uncommon) last name. Highly unlikely, in my opinion. In both instances, we were accommodated with seats, but I would have been upset had we been turned away. Aside from that hassle, we adore this theatre. Yes it is small and seats less than 100, BUT the productions are spectacular! I was amazed at how much they could do on such a small stage. Choreographed dance numbers, intricate sets, top notch voices and reasonable ticket/concession prices make this historic theatre an absolute treasure in Grove City. I have not seen a bad production yet and I highly recommend the musicals. Tons and tons of talent and not a bad seat in the house!

Our first impression was that the location was good, parking was great, and seating was OK, but cramped. We were seated at a table for 6 and ended with with 2 couples that came together - very nice people. The service was good - keeping my drink full and clearing our places promptly after we finished each course. I knew ahead of time that drinks were a la carte - but I did not know that gratuity for the meal/presentation was separate. My husband and I agree that all should be included in the upfront cost so you don't feel nickel-and-dimed to death. The meal was fine. My husband hated the salad - but I as a more ecletic eater enjoyed it. It was mixed greens with sliced fruit and a light vinagrette dressing. We both liked the main course (stuffed pepper for me and chicken for him). Dessert was rated good by him and OK by me (where can you really go wrong with brownie and vanilla ice cream. A French Vanilla would have raised it to GREAT, but it was OK - good). The storyline was a bit difficult to follow - since audience members could not necessarily be heard in their acting parts and were sometimes confusing in what they said. It might have helped to either select better "actors" or to include more of the storyline in print in the binders. The length was about right. I wouldn't have wanted another "scene" or "act." I really liked the fact that you could get involved and participate as much or as little as you wanted. We chose to watch and not get up and ask questions or interrogate the principal players. The couples at our table milled about somewhat by the end of the play. The mystery was definitely solvable. I won't give the "who dunnit" away - but as soon as it was explained to us who did it and why, I rolled my eyes and smacked my head - I should have picked up on the clues. Would I go again? Yes - IF - we went with another 2 couples that we enjoy socializing with. I know we'd have a much better time and be more engaged. As to the liquor license - as a non-drinker, I'm happy that they don't serve alcoholic beverages. I do think that this type of entertainment is not family-friendly and would not appreciate having children in the audience. We did not have any kids in our seating and would not have thought that it would have been appropriate for a younger crowd.

They did have a nice concession area with plenty of relaxation room, prior to showtime. I must admit that their stage/set conversion process was excellent. The performers quickly stormed the stage, in-between scenes in the low lighting and moved the props and set around flawlessly. With no curtain to disguise this activity, you couldn't help but admire their efficiency. The show was just as beautiful as the movie, with stellar performances from all of the cast, featuring Columbus celebrity anchorman, Cabot Rea. Cabot's acting and singing voice were a great surprise in the role of Henry Higgins. Maybe it was my imagination, but he did it so well, he started to remind me of Rex Harrison, the original actor. The actress portraying Eliza Doolittle was simply adorable and graceful with a truly beautiful singing voice. The sleeper hits came from the characters Col. Pickering and Alfred Doolittle. They were so much fun to watch that you couldn't help but keep an eye on them, even when they weren't speaking. They, just like the remainder of the cast, gave such life to their characters that it was impossible for one to ignore them, even in the background. All of the performers were fun to watch, even after they exited the stage and disappeared to the back of the audience. The music was performed by one keyboard player who I talked to briefly before the final act, complimenting her expertise. She was such a sweetheart who rounded out the entire show beautifully. If you'd like a great time, take a look at their site and make it a point to attend an upcoming show.
