This hall is so pretty. It has the perfect space to have any party. I was able to have my wedding at this venue and it turned out to be an absolute dream. Jesse was the absolute best in making sure everything was the way I wanted it and he is so friendly and personable. He was the main one that was helping us for our event and did a great job coordinating throughout the night. All of my guests loved him also. He makes you feel like family. He is the FREAKING BEST!! Our bartender of the night was Martin who was also so amazing!! Everyone loved how quick and efficient he was in serving the drinks. Everyone had a great time!! My softball buddy and his wife tied the knot and had their reception at Palacio Torres. Looks like this place caters to the Latino community in the valley. This place was way out there in Sylmar. Pros: - Plenty of parking and valet parking is easy - Large venues (I think there are two big halls) - Clean - Good food (tacos, beans, rice, salad) - The bartender didn't fudge on the alcohol with the mix drinks - Good times/memorable times for my friend's wedding reception Cons: - Two parties on this night, my friend's party and a quinceanera. You could hear the music from the quinceanera on our side, vice versa, they probably could hear our music - I don't know who messed up, but the banquet staff cut up the wedding cake before the groom and bride had their cutting of the cake ceremony. As the wedding festivities were going on (dancing) the staffers were already bring out the slices of cake. I heard it was the instruction of the DB photographer to cut up the cake cause he wanted to take off early. Anyways, it was a DB move and the bride and groom didn't get to cut their own cake. Other than that wedding cake debacle, I had a great time at my first Colombian wedding. The band was good, the alcohol was flowing and the food was good. I did want to knock out that photographer though. I hope he was a friend and was doing it for free. I noticed the guy since the church ceremony in the morning that he was lazy, he didn't get the money shots and he sat on his a$$ most of the night. I could of did a better job. I had my daughter's quinceañera at Palacio Torres. The food excellent, the place does not need major decoration because it is beautiful, security excellent. The only reason I didn't give them 5 starts it is because during the event, the waiters didn't change the glasses. My guests using the same glasses during the whole party and the other down was at the beginning of the party that the breaker went down and we have no music for few minutes. Other than that, people at Palacio Torres like Frank and Tatiana were very helpful and nice to business with them. read more

I came here for a 15th birthday. I've never been to a party like this before so I was not sure what to expect. The Palacia Torres is located in a seedy and industrial part of Sylmar. When you pull in there is valet parking-which is nice. The party was supposed to start at 4:30 and that was about the time we got there. However, all the guests had to get in line and wait outside of the facility for maybe 20 minutes. Then we were ushered in and had to present the guy at the door with a ticket to get in. The ticket apparently came with the invitation. Good thing I had my invitation with me because it probably wouldn't have occurred to me that I need to bring a ticket for admission. Inside, the decor was very nice. The ballroom was big and there was a bar serving wine, beer, pina coladas and margaritas. The food was okay. I was a little surprised that they served mostly generic American ("Gemerican") food. I was actually looking forward to some authentic Mexican food, so there was some disappointment. I think my experience may have been a big hampered by my grouchy, tired, hungry and antsy 3 year old...but still a fun time! read more

I've been to this venue several years in a row. Every time I provide my services here, the staff has been professional and accommodating. The food has always been warm and delicious. There's usually a security guard or two at every event, which keeps the troublemakers away. At it's capacity, I've seen up to 500+ guests seated as they use the entire span of the reception area. The venue from the outside doesn't show much of the great potential inside. Overall, my experience at Palacio Torres has always been pleasant. read more

the place is very pretty but the man bar tender wouldn't give drinks to people if he thought they were giving it to minors. the food was heat up and bad. the person at the bar was rude and walked around to see if people were giving the drinks to minors because a lady we r up but she went up to the bar for her friends. I didn't like that the table for the court was taken away and the quince court had no place to go. this was a horrible place overal. definitely will not go back . read more

My wife and I decided to throw our twin daughters an 18th birthday party somewhat last minute. We've been to Palacio Torres a few times and looked into it for our party. The folks at Casa/Palacio Torres were very helpful and accommodating! Jasmine and Tatiana were so helpful planning out the party. The party was a huge success. Everything looked great. Exactly how we planned it. Our guests were pleasantly surprised on how beautiful the venue looked. The food was really good, especially the Birria! Many of our guests made several trips back for food. Martin and his staff were great. They were very attentive to our needs. Our bartender was the MVP with the adults. He knew exactly what they wanted when they approached the bar! Kudos to the two security guards as well. They were helpful throughout the night. Palacio Torres staff and place is wonderful. I got married and had my reception at Palacio Torres. It was very affordable compared to other places, but what was great is that place is very well maintained and clean. The security that is there is wonderful. On my wedding there was an issue where two mariachi bands should up and started to give my wife and a hard time, and security took care of it. Recently a family member had birthday party there and my son who is 3 years old had an accident. My wife needed to leave but the service there was great. They helped us any way they could, the valet service team rushed to get us our cars so we can take our son to urgent care. I can't say enough good things about this place. read more

My husband and I celebrated our DREAM wedding on February 22, 2014 and we have Palacio Torres to thank!! They made the planning process SO easy and the outcome far exceeded my expectations. I absolutely adore the staff and every time I went to the office to make a payment, it felt like I was visiting friends. Rosa, Lourdes, Mago, Danny, and Arturo are so caring and kind, it almost doesn't feel like you are dealing with a business. They cover every aspect you could imagine and go out of their way to be helpful. Even though they don't allow a pre set up, Danny took time out of his own personal schedule to meet myself and a couple of my bridesmaids at the hall the day before the wedding and allowed us to set up some personal touches. That blew me away!! The day of the wedding was flawless. The hall looked beautiful!! The staff was incredible. From the waiters, to the bartenders, to the security guards.....everyone was attentive and professional. My guests could not stop raving about the food. We had a buffet style wedding and I happen to know some of my guests took 3 trips to the buffet table!! I would recommend Palacio Torres to ANYONE planning an event. Don't let the outside fool you! I went to a family members Sweet 16 party. The venue is beautiful. You would never guess that the inside would be so nice but I was pleasantly surprised. The staff seemed very on top of things and friendly. The food was excellent and there was plenty of it. Now we are booking our daughter's Sweet 16 there. As for one of the previous reviews about the food choice, the family hosting the party decides what type of food will be served. Very accommodating with extra tables and last minute set up. Just asked if we needed anything and almost immediately provided it or made arrangements for it. Waiters were courteous and very polite. Security is NO JOKE! Although understandable it did make the guest entry difficult. Suggestion for security is to introduce themselves to party hosts and immediate family members so they are able to get approval for guests without pulling main host out of the party every 10 minutes. Sisters of party girl were questioned at the door for their invitations several times. Bar tender was fun and engaging and attempted to make almost any drink requested. One drink per person rule was difficult when trying to buy drinks for others but does ensure there is no mistake of underage drinking. Had a wonderful night thanks for every thing palacio! read more

My husband and I got married July, 20 2014 at Palacio Torres. It turned out to be the perfect day. The employees at the casa Torres banquet hall (the office and sister banquet hall) are so nice and they really listen to what you want and work with you to make sure you get it. They no longer do actual food tastings, but they will give you a voucher to taste the food at the restaurant that they also own. That made for a nice morning out with my parents and my fiance, but we were only able to taste Mexican food as it is a Mexican restaurant. I'm mother complaining because it was delicious and I love Mexican food, howevee, for my wedding I blindly chose American meals to cater to the majority of my guests. Everyone enjoyed the food so no complaints there. As you can guess, I didn't really have any and I don't remember what I did have. Wedding days really fly by. We had a photo booth in the lobby and fit 230 ppl into the A half of the banquet hall. All in all, it was a wonderful day and palacio torres really came through. read more

had my daughters sweet 16 here the place was great but the service sucked i had to refill the party guest pitchers myself they picked up our meals when we weren't even done eating the contract we signed said 2 hours of food . the food was picked up 15 minutes before the time no last call was announced . had alot of hungry people at party and time to cut the cake no one of the staff was around i opened the doors to the kitchen every one was in there eating including security ! i had to ask the girl who cleaned tables 3 times to find me the manager. brought the issue to frank great guy by the way and he brought it to rosa the owners sister rosa agreed service was not acceptable she said she would give me a meal for 8 to 12 people and and signed some card for some menudo and payed me back i had to buy more food for the guest that didnt eat they picked up the food 15 min before the time but what about the rest i invited 135 people it's supposed to be 2 hours of food didnt get that or the service they have on there contract . sad to say i have read all the reviews must of been when the owner was alive please make sure that you get exactly what you pay for. now rosa changed her mind again i guess time for court they didnt meet there part of the contract read more
