When I was there yesterday afternoon, people were shopping from outdoor tables loaded with food that had been grown down the street at the Urban Farms Market's namesake urban farm. I picked up a box of cherries, a huge bag of basil, some red and yellow striped heirloom tomatoes and some chips and a tub guacamole (which was gone with an hour of getting home). It was awesome to shop farmer's market style in the middle of the week (and to know that I could go back the next day if I wanted more).

I picked up a container of herring fish in the fridge today and it was covered in a layer of slime. Not oil. Slime. It was disgusting. Some kielbasas were super oxidized and being covered mold. They are selling lima beans, green beans, tomatoes, blueberries, blackberries, tomatoes, squash, peaches, and much more.
