I was hospitalized for 4 months. When I was initially admitted, I was a fully functional person. By the time I was discharged, I could not stand or walk without assistance and lost the ability to care from myself. The hospital discharged me to Palazzo Post Acute, and I was a patient there between March and May of 2026. I always hear nightmare stories about how poorly people are treated in these types of facilities, so when I arrived at the facility, I was worried about the type of care I would receive. My worries were for naught, because I received great care, and met some amazing individuals. The nurses, CNAs, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and respiratory therapist that I work with were awesome. Some of the people I worked with could lift my spirits with their presence. But I quickly saw that when concerns came up, the Palazzo team responded -- calmly, professionally, and with accountability. That allowed me to breathe again. I realized: I wasn't doing this alone. LEADERSHIP MATTERS Administrator Simcha Stern sets the tone. His leadership is human and grounded, and his presence is felt -- he literally walks the hallways, talks with patients, he speaks directly with families, responds to concerns, and truly advocates for better care. Director of Nursing Kristina is responsive, level-headed, and solution-oriented. And Dr. Kadakia, the Medical Director, has been one of the most compassionate and collaborative physicians we've ever worked with. He's not just clinically excellent -- he listens. NURSES WHO CARE RNs David, Bobbi, and CJ are dependable, clinically sharp, and communicate clearly. They've guided us through complex care needs and offered a sense of calm in challenging moments. LVNs like Victor, Calvin, Jonathan, Michelle, Aldren, Yonas, Isha, Rowell, Clelia, and Doris are the daily heartbeat of the floor. Each brings professionalism and warmth. Victor's humor, Aldren's songs, and Michelle's positivity are just a few of the ways they uplift my mom and our family. CNAs: THE UNSUNG HEROES Certified Nursing Assistants are the eyes, ears, and heart of this place. They bathe, lift, feed, soothe, and spend the most hands-on time especially with the most vulnerable of residents. Claudia is a true lifeline -- Mom calls her "Mama," and it's a title she's earned through trust, presence, and deep care. Teresita brings joy and motivation. We're also incredibly grateful to Zabraia, Heidi, Gabi, Carlos, Fatima, Safina, Kristina, Mohammed, Shay, Salma, Earl, and so many others whose names we may not always know -- but whose work we see and deeply appreciate. THERAPY & RECOVERY Stephanie, Director of Rehab, is an incredible leader -- a motivator who advocates for her team and residents alike. Therapists like Maggie, Wilson, Timothy, Leo, Mark, Arman, and Tico helped Mom regain strength and dignity. We also thank Jaymie, a restorative nursing assistant whose steady support has made a daily difference. SUPPORT STAFF THAT MAKES IT ALL WORK From Victoria in Quality Assurance, to Romel and Pamela in Social Services, to Maede and Carol in the Business Office -- the behind-the-scenes coordination has been thoughtful and efficient. Shawn in Activities brings joy to the facility, transforming holidays and daily life into something engaging and personal. The front desk team -- Josephine, Jasmine, Stephen, Chris, and Fatima -- provide warmth and structure. And cleanliness? Always excellent, thanks to a skilled and cheerful Environmental Services team. Ramil, in maintenance, is kind and professional. FINAL THOUGHTS Palazzo isn't perfect -- no place is. But what makes it different is their willingness to listen, evolve, and truly partner with families. They show up with care. They remember names. They make it personal. This is the third nursing facility my mother has lived in. It's also where my father recovered after a heart attack. And it's the place Mom has resided in the longest -- over two years now. We've been through hospitalizations, rehab, recovery, and long-term stabilization. Through it all, Palazzo has held steady -- and held us. Care Quality is very poor I was a resident I always had problems with the 11pm to 7am shift you would press your call light and No one comes for Hours at a time that shift is always sleeping on the job the only good thing here is the Therapy Dept there on it This place is Short Staffed everyday and night Supplies are always limited like wipes to get cleaned lien is always short there's never enough blankets so make sure before you put your loved one here look into the place thero I took a chance and got care all I'm thinking about is going home to finish my recovery!!! I was sent to Palazzo Post Acute during the first week of August to rehabilitate from foot surgery. I was there up until today. The care there is unmatched. Every single employee there gives 110% to make sure that your recovery needs are met. Every nurse, CNA, administration staff, housekeeping, and food service employee made sure that I was well taken care of. The Physical Therapy/Rehab team is phenomenal as well. Each member of the team were encouraging and helped me to reignite my love for working out. Everything went well for starting my physical therapy and having to share a room with two other people. I was in bed C ( BdA, BdB & BdC)...Miss Ruiz was in BdA and different people were in BdB. I was very skeptical of this place at first. I was admitted, and instantly, my opinion changed. The staff here from RNs to CNAs to the physical therapist. Aside from their professionalism, they are the kindest caring people you can hope to have with providing care for you. This place is incredibly top-notch in the health care department. I can't express enough gratitude for the exceptional care provided by Palazzo Post Acute Facility. My father, battling severe COPD, overwhelming anxiety and panic attacks during his first stay 3 month's ago has experienced a remarkable positive shift since staying here! The dedicated staff's emotional support and expertise have not only improved his physical well being but his mental health. Without the help of this amazing staff & nurses, my father wouldn't be at the stable state he is currently in right now. My father was treated like family from the moment he was admitted! The staff also took proactive measures to alleviate shortness of breath & minimize his COPD exacerbations! Truly greatly for that ! Everyone here is amazing! Especially the REHAB department. Stephanie and the rest of the crew there push me to do better each and every day. Without them I don't thinki would've been able to regain the use of my arms. When i first came here i couldn't even put on my shirt or raise my arms. I can now do that and do much more including writing this review. I'm looking forward to continuing my recovery and reaching 100% use of my arms with their help. Ive always passed by here whenever I drove by. I come here to visit because my mother works at this facility. Everything looks well kept at the front and parking for this place is street parking so if your coming here really quick it is hard to find parking sometimes. But when you come in to the place the administrator office is on the right when you enter. The two nurses station is to the right and one to the left on the other side. They do have elevator access but I believe its for the nurses to use. Their bathrooms are always cleaned out so you can know that you will have a nice bathroom to use. They have an outside patio which is in the middle of the facility. All the staff is nice here and they do have someone at the front door that will make sure the patients don't leave. Other than that everything jn here looks nice. read more
