For the last two months the food arrived thawed out and warm. I later learned that they had switched from fed ex to USPS, during the holiday season no less. For over a week I have been trying to reset my password and a link was to be sent to my email. After 15 attempts not one email to reset password was sent. This is the same email they use to tell me my order has shipped. Today I decided to call them and the only number listed is not in service. I can only assume that they have had so many dissatisfied customers as of late that they have decided to make it impossible to contact them. I'll be contacting my bank next. read more

The food has always been a bit pricey, but with recent price updates there aren't any meals that are close to reasonable. It used to be that the pricey meals were $25 each and others around the $18 range. Now almost all meals are at $25 and the quality has gone down. On top of that the shipping cost are quite high. There was a time that shipping was free and the meals, though pricey, were doable...partly because they would offer frequent discounts along with free shipping. With this being a thing of the past and quality being inconsistent at best I can't continue to use them. It's such a disappointment. There is such a need for good, ready-made AIP meals for those of us with low energy that could really use some ease in life...without being price gouged. read more

I'm so grateful to have found this company! I've recently been diagnosed with 2 autoimmune diseases and had to switch my diet to the autoimmune protocol diet aka AIP. They offer tons of wonderfully delicious AIP food. So far my favorites are the spinach and myshroom lasagna, chicken mojo empanada, beef brisket, mashed Japanese white sweet potatoes, loaded sweet potato soup, the no tomato sauce, and the snickerdoodle cookies. I'm looking forward to trying more in the coming weeks. The quality of their food is well worth the price. Having these meals helps me when I don't have time to cook a whole lunch or dinner. I live in NH. They send the food on dry ice via FedEx. The food is ice cold and frozen solid when I receive it. You can place an order without commitment or subscribe and get a discount. I had one meal have an issue on my first order. The tray was broken. David was very helpful and responsive with assisting me. BEWARE! Overcharge you if you don't check. Terrible Service! Extremely overpriced to start with, then will over charge you. Awful customer service (they intentionally make you overpay!) First order was delayed a week before shipping with no explanation, no compensation. Second order-items that were in stock on ordering were out of stock. Email said no action needed, they were being cooked and would ship when finished. Multiple texts then saying no, I needed to pick two new ones. Fine. I selected two new ones. On reviewing the order they charged full price (not the discount rate for the rest of large order) AND they put in an extra of highest price selection without asking! I received my first order from Paleo on the Go and I was very disappointed. So far the soup was awful, the tortillas arrived all broken up in pieces and one of the entrees had a hole in the carton and leaked all over my refrigerator when I was thawing it, so I ended up throwing it away. I'm not sure what to expect from the remaining items in my freezer but I'm not giving it much hope. I tried to complain to the company just about the broken tortillas but so far I haven't received a response. Don't waste your money. This company is a joke. read more

The "new and improved" packaging is terrible. The food has become flavorless, but the prices keep soaring! The cookies are now bite-sized and dried out. Don't waste your time, or your money! The meals are very expensive for what you get. I've had the shepherds pie and the pork with cabbage and apples. Both were bland at best. The packaging it by far the WORST thing about this company. The shepherds pie came in an air sealed plastic bag that you have to boil in hot water for 20mins...after 30 mins the center was still frozen and the outside was molten hot, if I wanted that, I'd eat a hot pocket - at least it would have some flavor. Some of the other food I ordered came in a plastic microwaveable tray, this idea was way more user friendly, but the execution was so far off base it wasn't even playing the right sport in the right stadium! I had to throw away a bunch of it because the cheap plastic trays had broken on the bottoms leaving huge holes and exposing the food to everything it came into contact with. I brought this to the company's attention and they offered me a coupon...umm no, why would I order more overpriced, bland, contaminated food?! And the amount offered wasn't even enough to cover the cost to replace the items I had to through out (thanks to their minimum order requirement and ridiculously overpriced shipping cost). Received a $500 POtg gift certificate from my kids. I ordered food and paid $506.95. Never received the food and POTG has not provided any information regarding this order except that they sent it by FedEX. Food was supposed to be delivered on Friday, June 5, 2020, but was never delivered. It is now Tuesday the ninth of June and still not found and no help from POTG. I contacted POTG within an hour of when FedEx claimed to have delivered it. Neither POTG nor FedEx has provided me with any information of where my food is located. Contacted POTG several times by phone and email and received ABSOLUTELY no satisfactory answer. At this point, my Kids have lost $500 and I have lost $6.95. Order at your own RISK! read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! I ordered this food on the 4th of this month and it never came, they don't answer their phone calls or respond to voicemails. I emailed and they told me to email Route and submit a claim to which I had to download the Route app and make an account to even do that. After submitting a claim they told me that my new order is on its way. I called the past 3 days and left voicemails that were not returned until today. I still haven't received a tracking number and route said that the shipper order was unfulfilled and still hadn't even been sent out. I emailed paleo on the go to call me to which they finally did today. The woman was rude and not taking any responsibility as a business, saying it was ups's fault not theirs. I told her I didn't even want the order anymore since its the 18th and I ordered this the beginning of the month. I asked her to refund my money back and I won't be using their services again and she told me they wouldn't do that and then hung up on me. read more

Loving these Paleo on the Go Meals. I am currently getting a fresh Paleo delivery prepared by gourmet chef and I'm actually liking the POTG meals better. Once you thaw and serve they don't necessarily look pretty, but they sure taste delicious. Even my 8 year daughter tried the meatloaf tonight and likes it! The price is more reasonable than my fresh delivery, the portions are bigger and the food tastes better. Healthy, tasty, and easy freezer emergency food, for days too tired to cook or go out for dinner. The only two downsides are long transports (if you live outside of Florida) and that the web site / shopping cart solution you order meals through is messy, cumbersome and a bit confusing to use (especially for items currently out of stock, that just show up lacking "add to cart" options). If/once you've found an order you are happy with and want to repeat, though, you can reuse that to save yourself most of the frustration. read more

Came right to the door, ready to re-heat and eat! Best of all even my cave kids loved it! Especially the butternut squash lasagna and the grandma's chicken soup! This is great for days I just don't want to cook, I can take it right out of the freezer and within 10-20 minutes dinner is ready! I love to cook, but sometimes we're just too busy. This makes me feel like I'm always prepared for the unexpected. I never have to worry that we'll be caught off guard or glutened. I also love that there are plenty of AIP offerings! read more

This company is disorganized and has problems. I have lost my confidence in them. I have a weekly subscription with them, and the meals are supposed to be delivered Wednesday or Thursday every week. I confirmed my order on 2/15 (Monday), for about 15 or more meals, an entire weeks worth of food for me, expecting the delivery on 2/17 or 2/18. 2/17 I get an email from them saying the order is on hold bc they are out of some items. We then talk on the phone that very day and I substitute for the missing items. They say the food will arrive Thursday 2/18 or Friday 2/19 at the latest. That is the last I hear from them until the following Monday which is 2/22. I still hadn't gotten the items. The email on 2/22 says the order is still on delay bc they are out of the breakfast bowl! I emailed immediately saying I am out of food and haven't eaten in 24 hours. Today, Tuesday 2/23 they don't call me so I call them at noon. They say last week that NO items were shipped the entire week bc of fed ex issues. I ask why wasn't I notified? They try to say they sent me an email last Wednesday telling me. NO they did NOT. We talked on the phone last Wednesday and they said the food would be delivered the next day and I never got an email about fed ex issues. Now my entire 8 weeks AIP diet that I have committed to has to start over. I waited all weekend for the delivery. I had to fast on Sunday for 24 hours bc I was out of AIP food, thinking the package would arrive Monday. I am halfway through the 8 week AIP diet and I broke it yesterday when I finally had to eat. I have spent approximately $1500 with this company for not even a months worth of food, only to have my strict diet ruined. I was 100% committed with no cheating. Today, the head honcho here told me they are not obligated to meet my weekly subscription. To compensate me, after I raised a fuss, they offered me 5 free meals as long as I keep the subscription, which I am not interested in at all now! I am not accepting this offer. I am waiting to speak to the CEO to discuss why they aren't obligated to meet the weekly subscription as well as to inquire why I wasn't notified that my meals would not be delivered. This AIP diet is extremely strict and is ordered by my doctor and I was counting on them. I am supposed to do this diet for 8 weeks with no cheating or breaks. Now I have to start over. Btw, this is the 2nd time they didn't deliver my package. At the beginning they also skipped an entire package. But I didn't raise a fuss, bc it was only desserts and I can live without that. They had no explanation then either. Update: it's been over 2 weeks since that order was placed and more than a week since I cancelled the subscription. This was my first order. I want to like this because I really liked the food but, based on other reviews, they clearly have packaging issues. The plastic containers are flimsy and they crack. They want me to resolve it with the shipper when it's clearly not the shippers fault...and who has the time? One coq au Vin is missing. Haven't heard back on that yet. I am only a few days into Paleo on the Go, but I already have a confidence that this will be a sustainable lifestyle. The website was super easy to use, the delivery was on time, and the packaging of the product was professional. The best part though, the food is delicious. I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease a couple years ago. As many know, a certain standard of diet is required in order to feel 100%. I have not been as committed to said diet bc poor choices do not impact me as harshly as they would a celiac. I need to enjoy delicious food. Unfortunately, most of my options were not delicious and when they were it took me hours of planning and preparing to enjoy a single meal. Paleo on the Go offers me delicious food and a convenience that I am willing to pay for. Though it is expensive, it certainly replaces significant food cost that I was spending before. Paleo On The Go is great! I am in grad school and working full time. With gluten, dairy, nightshade, and other food sensitivities I need to cook everything from scratch, but I don't have time. Wow wow wow and then then some! These guys rock. Having been diagnosed with IBD (U.C.) and not doing optimally with meds, I went on an Autoimmune Protocol (AIP) diet seven months ago. I tried to do it myself, but it was too hard--I couldn't prepare all meals myself, especially at the outset--too many restrictions: No Nuts and Seeds, coffee, chocolate. No Seed-Based Spices, like cumin, peppercorns. No nightshades veggies, e.g. peppers, paprika, tomato, potato, eggplant. No beans, lentils, legumes, no green beans. No grains whatsoever--all grains, even white rice and no corn. No gluten. No sugar and artificial sweeteners, no stevia etc. No eggs. No dairy, including butter, cheese, yogurt. Basically, no food. I was supposed to live on oxygen. Having basically nothing to eat was a b...h. But I was desperate to heal myself and wanted to give this a shot. I was wary of these meal based delivery companies--all frozen meals taste like crap and I couldn't imagine swallowing what I thought was gonna be a sorry excuse for food. But I figured I'd give them a try. Boy was I ever wrong. These guys likely employ top notch gourmet chefs, and use very high quality ingredients--organic produce and grass fed meats. They cook it fresh, freeze it, and ship it immediately. I've tried all the following 18 items: Spinach/Mushroom beef lasagna; Cuban Picadillo; Coq Au Vin with Herb Mashed Japanese White Sweet Potatoes; Asian Fried Cauliflower Rice; Beef Breakfast Empanada; Carob Delight Slim Mint Cookies;Turkey Tetrazzini; Chicken pot pie; Carob Chunk Cookies; Creamy Asparagus Soup; Creamy broccoli soup; Creamy Chicken with Bacon Alfredo; Pesto Zucchini Noodles with Wild-Caught Gulf Shrimp; Paleo AIP Tortillas; Loaded Baked Sweet Potato Soup; Hearty Beef Stew; Butternut Squash; Bangers and Mash. My latest love affair is with their 'Cuban Picadillo'--hot damn, this dish is amazing: savory, sweet, and with a kick, layers and layers of flavor, with depth and soul--it has grass fed beef, green olives, a sauce to sink into--I could eat it everyday. Their 'spinach/mushroom lasagna' has similar soul--a symphony of satisfying protein, laden with veggies. My other favorite is their Pesto Zucchini 'noodles' with shrimp. I was leery of ordering mail-order seafood, and initially ordered only one of these. But again, was blown away by the freshness and flavor explosion; it's obviously not grain based noodles--they're shredded zucchini, and bursting with a beautifully balanced medley of spicing. All of their soups are insanely good, rich with coconut, creamy and satisfying: the loaded baked potato is made with sweet potato, broccoli, asparagus and butternut squash .... it leaves all packaged store bought soups in the dust. Their chicken with bacon alfredo, coq Au Vin, and turkey tetrazzini--these 3 are my staples: no red meat, saucy, not at all dry and smacking good. The only thing I don't like is their cassava flour-based stuff, e.g. tortillas, pot pies, empanadas--I detest the texture, it's dry and dense, not at all a great substitute for flour. But did I mention that I'm addicted to their carob slim mint cookies? Every bit as good as a 'real' cookie :-) The delivery arrives with the food frozen well and intact. The customer service is fantastic--responsive, they answer the phone, and are on the ball, e.g. I've talked to Dave about getting my tracking #. I just ordered for the third time from paleo on the go and am really happy with their services. The food is the better of the two paleo delivery services I have tried and when you order AIP it actually is. It is the strictest form of AIP so I can order care free of pain or reactions from the food. It also tastes really good. The prep and clean up are fast and simple. The shipping is fast and is totally frozen when it arrives (ships with dry ice). The labels tell you what the ingredients are (which for someone who has reactions to many foods is very reassuring) and very thorough options for how to prepare(thaw and heat...I prefer the place in boiling water method). I like that I can do this with energetic little ones around. The thing that could make them a ***** for me would be if I could have more options of more foods (even though they have a variety already and I have not made a request to them for more) I am very happy with their product and service. Oh and I really like that you can order a la carte or meal plan. I eat a Paleo Diet. The Butternut Squash Lasagna is absolutely delicious. It's my favorite meal. The beef is organic grass fed, and all of the ingredients are fresh: squash, cashews, crushed tomato, onion, and the seasonings add flavor. This is a hearty meal. I feel full but not stuffed. I enjoy this for either lunch or dinner. I love lasagna. Being able to have a Paleo dish that doesn't have traditional pasta but has the texture and flavor of regular lasagna is great.
