The scope of the project was a planned remodeling of my master bedroom and master retreat which included new flooring throughout, new lighting fixtures, painting, and installation of a new electric linear fireplace. I was impressed by Sam on our initial phone communications- he was extremely professional and offered many suggestions that we ultimately included in the final project. After we signed the contract, he started work on the exact day that he had promised, and he and his team worked every day until it was completed. They actually finished a bit earlier than stated on the contract! Each of Sam's workers were very respectful of my property, and always left the work area very clean. Throughout the process, Sam showed a particular attention to detail that I truly appreciated. He has a good eye for color, and helped me to pick out colors for my walls, flooring and fireplace tile that really complement each other. Sam and his team constructed a wall length framing for the fireplace that truly exceeded my expectations. The finished product is simply breathtaking! Sam and his team will be returning after the holidays for the 2nd phase of the project, which will transform the master retreat into a custom designed walk in closet. They have not kept up their home at all, for many, many years. My parents noticed tiles that had fallen off the bathroom shower wall making the shower unusable. The other shower had been out of commission for years due to a plumbing leak. My parents were showering at the gym once a week. Joel came out within a few days after we contacted him and provided a detailed estimate within a day or two which was more than fairly priced. He followed up with us and was called back to the house a few times, to go over the quote and the project with my parents. He was understanding of the situation and spent a lot of time making sure they understood everything, pointing out where everything would go and drawing pictures. He was not pushy and had a lot of patience. The project quickly grew from two bathrooms to two bathrooms with a complete expansion of the master bathroom by reworking the walk-in closet, removal of wallpaper on walls and ceiling, paint of master bathroom, carpet removal, and refinishing hardwood floor. We decided to go with Joel. He was able to start within two weeks. Knowing that he was working with older people, he not only provided my parents with places to get the hardware (plumbing supplies, tile, vanity, paint ect) but he even called to make appointments for them and joined them at the appointments for guidance. If my parents could not make the appointments, he went out of his way to make sure they had choices to choose from. He dropped off a color sample of the vanity and also did a lot of the leg work that my parents couldn't do, which was greatly appreciated. The project was going smoothly. Joel consistently sent updates and pictures of the progress and communicated well with me. Then, when I went to the house to meet with Joel, I noticed the half bathroom downstairs had a water drip. Thats when I convinced my parents to renovate the half bathroom. It didn't prolong the original project. He demoed the bathroom and used the leftover tile and paint from one of the other bathrooms. He went and purchased ALL the supplies, hauled them back to the house and had it done by the timeframe. He finished the project on time and made everything as easy as it could be. He even referred a cleaning service, duct cleaning service, and carpet shampooing service. The finished bathrooms are gorgeous! They did a great job. I would highly recommend using Joel Braun Construction.

The work they do is stellar, they are both friendly and extremely efficient. Aside from a wonderful installation, they even clean up any mess they make during the process and removed the old shower door that was left. Gil's team replaced and re-tiled the bathroom floor, removed the tub and put in a wonderful new shower with a marble bench and grab bar. We were happy to be able to keep the existing cabinetry and wall tile. Outside, Gil's teams put on a new roof, removed and reinstalled a skylight window to address leakage, and repaired two places where the roof was leaking. Gil's carpenter replaced the decking on our rear deck and our side porch. All new steps were built. The front porch decking was painted and new steps were built. The entire house was power washed and the gutters were cleaned. Leakage damage in the kitchen was repaired and the kitchen was painted. Every task was completed quickly and expertly. Gil is honest and very easy to work with. All work was completely quickly and without problem. I highly recommend Gil and Goias Home Improvement.

As a result of a previous fraudulent contractor, I was left with a barely functioning bathroom in my home. Due to a mold issue, homeowners insurance granted us coverage for a bathroom repair. We didn't do our due diligence in selecting this original contractor (reading reviews, browsing the internet for credentials/past work, etc), and we suffered because of it. The previous contractor came in, ripped out all the walls and flooring, destroyed the plumbing, and ran off with the money - leaving us still with the mold problem and without a functioning bathroom. Conniff Construction came to the rescue and repaired our bathroom beautifully, and in a timely manner. Both Sean and John were extremely professional to work with, and had only their clients best interests in mind. They put our bathroom back together, including a custom tile floor job, reinstallment of sheetrock, rerouting of problematic plumbing, installation of new tub and removal of old tub, and most of all - rid us of the mold issue. Conniff Construction worked with us patiently while we went back and forth on design decisions. They installed all of the bathroom furniture, including vanity, mirror, and lighting. I felt extremely safe with having them work in my home alone, without supervision. They are safe and professional, and pose no risk from a safety or financial perspective. They are diligent and organized in their documentation, including their contract and estimates, and belong to multiple verified home owner's and builders associations in the state (as well as nationally).
