In my humble opinion, the price point for an individual glass is a touch high, but I suppose that's all the more incentive to join the Wine Club! The front space is small but there's plenty more room in the back--did someone say trivia night?? Service was excellent, with staff offering a few "Costco-size" samples as our party of 6 waffled over the menu. While the popular 2024 Dawn Orange Wine (Peach, raw honey, meyer lemon - Central Coast * Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Grenache Blanc; partially carbonic, 3 weeks skin contact) wasn't to my personal taste, I did enjoy the 2023 PCH Rosé of Pinot Noir (Bright, floral, delicate fruit flavors - Santa Barbara County * Whole-cluster pressed, aged in neutral vessels for 2 months).

Great for a casual wine tasting! I enjoyed the Pali flight. The Sauvignon Blanc is super smooth and light. You'll probably want to take home a bottle. The pinot noirs are decent. Surprisingly, the bread and butter platter slaps. The herby butter, thick and fluffy olive bread...mmmmmm. Only potential downside is the occasional airport noise, but it wasn't too bothersome.

made a last minute decision to stop by here for a glass of wine on my birthday. such a cute small wine shop, we were only there for maybe half an hour since they were closing. I'm not the best at describing wine, but the glasses we did get were good tasting, lol. I do want to check out the second floor and get a flight next time!

Chef's charcuterie board is the worst

The bar service and atmosphere was gr8!!! This review is for the lamest chef's charcuterie board I have eva seen and had. Especially when it has the word 'chef' in it. The menu states that it came with "cheeses" and some whipped cheese thing that was lameO. It only came with 1 other small piece of cheese, so ya already starting off lying to the consumer. The "bread" they gave was of the ends of your loaf try to find something to dd with it variety, more lameness. The cracker was tasteless cardboard. Whatever that hummus looking stuff is, also did not go well. Where's the honey? Where's the spicy mustard? Why only 1 small piece of cheese? This board is a travesty and makes Pali Wine look cheap, careless and unprofessional.

My first time in San Diego checking little Italy, one of the reason i stop in was because I heard a beautiful singer playing. I ordered the Pelly flat bread that was delicious with a glass of wine . Julianne was amazing , patient and helpful with the menu!

Wonderfully welcoming, friendly wine bar that offers a lot! The small, open storefront bar hides much bigger spaces behind it including a back room and a huge back patio. There's even a small roof area. Wednesday through Sunday nights there is free live entertainment: comedy, trivia, and music! But the staff here make all the difference: they are friendly, knowledgeable, and offer free samples of the wine to help you decide what to order. A great venue with great staff! Great for both date nights or large groups.

The wine that got me into wine. I know it sounds strange, but I never liked wine -- it always tasted like church to me, and the hangovers were even worse. Then I came here and tried their natural wine selection. The flight description said "light, refreshing, fresh," which is exactly my type of drink, so I gave it a chance... and loved it. Now I'm officially a light‑chilled‑wine person. I always feel totally fine the next day after a glass or two, and even though I'm no wine connoisseur, I can genuinely taste the difference in quality here. We loved it so much we joined their wine club -- and after comparing other clubs, this one really does give you the most value and the best perks. So thank you, Pali Wine, for the new vice. I'm obsessed. They truly have something for everyone: natural wines, classic whites and reds, plus a great location that's dog‑friendly. They host fun events like comedy night and trivia, and there's a cute little rooftop where you can watch the planes come in. The wine club benefits are amazing, and now I can't wait to visit their outposts in Santa Barbara and Anaheim, and their actual winery in Lompoc.

Went here last night to try some wine flights, and had the best time! the flights were so cute and came with a tasting menu, which was so fun and such a cute touch. our server Sylise was so sweet, helpful, and kind. she answered all the questions we had about the wine club, similar bottles of wine to try, and explained all the wines that we were given to try in the flight. the cheese board was delicious and incredibly large- definitely could be shared between 4 people (although we loved it for the two of us as well!). definitely recommend trying out this place -- we will be back soon!

Came in for a couple glasses of wine and had a great Chardonnay but loved my BF's red blend, the Swell. Stopped in on a Thursday night and pleasantly surprised it was Trivia night! They've got themed and non-themed trivia nights, super nice staff, and a charcuterie board with a delicious jam, creamy Brie, golden raisins, a seasoned ham, and an assortment of pickled onions and peppers. It was on the louder side for trivia but def a fun vibe. Looking forward to another visit here.

We got a draft red , & orange Krush very delicious.

Stopped in with my husband for a quick glass , while here the gentleman who was helping us at the bar told us a lot about the owner and the type of wines and the story behind some of the art , It truly made me enjoy my glass even more . The staff was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and welcoming. I'll definitely be back with friends next time we are in the area.

Pali wine is a great spot in little Italy for a glass of wine or a flight! They have a great upstairs patio as well as a huge back patio area. The wine is fresh and interesting and the service is always great. The food menu goes in and out here likely depending on the season? Not sure. The oak sampler board is a large charcuterie board with teeny tiny pieces of cheese and gigantic piles of raisins and peppers so truthfully I would avoid it. Otherwise a great spot!

Cute wine bar with great food! I've been here a couple times and always enjoyed everything. They have a great selection of california wines, and a delicious sangria. The food is a bit small portions/on the pricier side but delicious and worth it imo. The most recent time I went the service was very slow however, our table waited over an hour for a charcuterie board. It seemed like the kitchen was swamped because of a comedy show going on in the back patio - I don't remember any problems with service at previous visits including trivia nights. Will definitely be back again!

We decide to sit up front near the sidewalk to enjoy the view of the street & watch the incoming airplanes arrive into San Diego airport. We enjoyed the Red Wine flight for Father's Day, one flight was enough for two. You get to taste 5 different wines made by Pali wine. Upon arrival they serve you water with your wine :-). We ordered tuna crudo & it left an impression, it's delicious! We were greeted but the service was ok. We were trying to decide on wine flights no recommendation given & it was slow when we arrived. There was only one server at the time plus the chef in back. When we left there was a different friendly face & he acknowledged us with a smile & thanked us. It was not my first time at Pali but it had been a while since my last visit.

    Is trivia night Thursday night?

Trivia is every Thursday from 7pm-9pm weather permitting.

Do they allow dogs? Inside and outside?

They are dog friendly on their patios, not inside unless it's a service dog of course.

    Do they serve food?

They offer a fantastic menu, that pairs well with the incredible wine!

This time around, it was just the 3 of us, to chat over some wine and apps. Had their April featured Pinot, which was amazing (had 2 glasses). It's good to keep in mind that they only sell their flatbreads on certain days and unfortunately, they didn't serve it when we went. So, instead we had the crostinis, which is perfect if you want a little bit of everything, but not sure what to get. My friend got the chicken Caesar wrap, and it was a lot bigger than expected. As far as the ambience, there's seating all around the bar that's located in the middle. So it's convenient to just walk up to the bar to place your order. Servers and bartenders were friendly and quick. Overall this is a great laid-back place for small or large groups.

First, I still really enjoy the Carruth Wine Garden. It is nice to have an outdoor space to drink wine right in the center of the city. In general there plenty of parking ,and it is dog friendly. As far as the wine, it is very good. I like some more than others. More recently, I have enjoyed the Unicorn Red Blend ( a longtime favorite) and the Syrah. I love that it is dog friendly, inside and out. My dog loves going there and she makes friends each time. A change that they made recently is that the main garden area is now child-free, which was a positive change in my options, as it had gotten a bit chaotic in the past with children not being very well supervised. The still have a family-friendly outdoor space. In the past, there was always live music when I came. I was there most recently on a Saturday evening and was disappointed that there was no music. Also, the prices have gone up ($18 per glass). Unfortunately, I found the pours to be somewhat inadequate, though it depended which staff member was pouring the wine. They do not allow for outside food, and only make certain dishes certain days of the week, which unfortunately doesn't allow for many options if you are hungry. Water is readily available inside and outside. All in all, it is a lovely place with good wine to come with friends and your 4-legged friends. It has gotten a bit pricey, and I do wish we could bring out own snacks, but I still enjoy going and am sure that I will be back.

I have turned all my friend's onto it & I am so thankful to have such nice & kind people running this winery. I also visit this winery when my family participates as a vendor during their craft/vendor fairs a couple times a year. I love that there are different things happening different days, but it isn't overwhelming like other wineries that get so incredibly busy that they lose their charm completely. I appreciate Koi Zen for the zen it brings me. I would 10/10 recommend if you are looking for a place to enjoy wine with friends and/or family.
