Quigley Fine Wines just opened a new tasting room in Banker's Hill where you can enjoy wine flights, wine by the glass or share a bottle with friends! Quigley has a wide selection of wines produced on family-owned vineyards and you can try their boutique wines from Europe, Australia, and New Zealand, as well as wines crafted by top California and Oregon winemaker, at the tasting room. They also have a wine club where you can get wines delivered monthly or quarterly for a discounted price (and enjoy additional perks like free tastings). The Quigley Tasting Room has fun events, like their wine and cheese night that I was able to join for that was co-hosted by Venissimo Cheese where we enjoyed 5 different wine and cheese pairings. Check out their website and Instagram for other upcoming events.

Quigley is the best wine bar in the Banker's Hill/Cortez Hill area! You can come as you are, and enjoy an amazing glass or bottle of wine. They import most of the wines from small, family owned vineyards in Italy, Spain, and France and for really great prices!! The staff is super friendly and they let you request music if you want! Come on Fridays for live music

This place has a very rustic vibe with a wonderful sommelier to match. I feel very at home here and I would definitely consider coming back!

They have unique wines infused in whiskey barrels. I had their Chardonnay which had a slight taste of whiskey in it but I thought it was pretty good. I also tried their pepperoni and sausage flat bread which also was pretty tasty. We were greeted by "Whiskey" the cat and as we were told apparently he was a stray and greets everyone as they arrive which was cute. They have misters which helped a lot with the heat.

Called 20+ Vineyard and put my requirements and was chose Crystal hill as my choice, I am so glad I made that decision. Best wine, amazing scenery, very private, kid friendly, pet friendly most of all sweetest Staff you will ever find. This is the best winery of Ramona by far and exactly what we were looking for. The view is stunning and beautiful view, atmosphere is very relaxing. Wine choices we were excellent, Excellent wine, especially the whiskey barrel wines! Wine Choices: We initially ordered wine flights, double and singles an we choose the below bottles from there. 1. 2016 Stone Lake Merlot 2. 2016 Whiskey Stone Lake Merlot 3. 2019 Malbec Rose 4. 2017 Whiskey Rose They even have food; their flatbread is amazing too. The Staff and owners were very nice, as we were having good time Scott the owner took the kids, around 10 of them to a short hike and showed them around the property and vineyard, kids had good time while adults were drinking up. Meanwhile Kristy engaged the smaller kids. It was all fun and everyone had fun. Special kudos to the lovely bartenders. My friends and I weren't too sure of how the process would be since they picked us up after we walked across the border. We booked our rides through WhatsApp and the communication was super easy. They were super responsive, and the day before our designated rides, they shared the driver's number for us to connect directly. Our driver down to Valle was named Elias and made the whole process so simple! He picked us right outside of where we came out after crossing the border. He was super friendly and wanted to make sure we were comfortable for the drive. He told us a little bit about Valle and how he's lived there for 25 years. On my way back, I had a different driver, who was Natalie. She was super nice and the ride back was so quick, probably because it was the morning and traffic wasn't too bad in Tijuana yet. She was helpful in directing me to find the line to cross the border. Without the direction from her, I would have definitely been confused. They made this whole process so seamless! They were on time and available for all the questions I had leading up to the rides as well. I will for sure use them in the future any time I'm traveling somewhere driving distance in Mexico!

There were 7 of us on the trip, and everyone had a fantastic time in no small part due to the effort that Joaquin, Marleny, and our drivers (Abel, Edgar, and Carlos) put into making our experience very special. Working with Joaquin to plan the trip was seamless and straightforward. He provided extremely useful information, and when our trip approached he and Marleny finalized the itinerary and provided us with concise yet very important information on how to cross the border and meet our driver. I had never crossed the border on foot, but it was pretty seamless. It's about a 1.5 - 2 hour drive from the border to Ensenada, and I didn't feel comfortable doing that drive on my own, so having Baja Winery Tours provide transportation was essential and eliminated the stress of getting around. Baja Winery Tours set up all the reservations at wineries and restaurants in Valle de Guadalupe. The wineries we visited were on point, and the food was absolutely spectacular. I was glad that we were able to have everything arranged, and be high quality, without having to do a ton of research. On our last full day, our dinner ran a little long and then we hit a bit of traffic getting back to the hotel. Our driver handled these issues with grace and full understanding. I would highly recommend having Baja Winery Tours provide all the logistics and travel if you're planning on visiting the area. Everyone there worked really hard to make sure we have a blast, and I look forward to coming back soon.

One thing to note, he is very strict on timing, so if you think you've got an extra five minutes, you don't.. LOL Now onto the tour itself. I've done quite a few wine tours, and unfortunately this one was my least favorite. It was also the first wine tour I've done that only visited two locations, which was a bit of a letdown. The first winery had a nice selection, we got three wine tastings. The Burgundy was my favorite from The Heritage flight. The property itself was beautiful to walk around, with amazing scenery and lots of great photo spots. We also stopped by the sweets shop and picked up a few treats. There were also surrounding shops near the winery. Personally, they weren't really my style, but that comes down to taste. If you like clothing and home décor, you might enjoy it more. Clothing prices looked to start around $50 and went up from there. The home décor shop was very cute with lots of handmade items, mostly in the $20 range and higher. I skipped the candle shop due to allergies. The charcuterie board was a nice touch and came with a good variety of items. The second wine location included five tastings. I personally wasn't a fan of the wines here. One person in our group ordered a glass from the regular menu and shared it, it was much better than the tasting options, and most of the group seemed to agree this stop was a bit of a disappointment. That said, the views were absolutely incredible. The pizza included in the tour was a highlight for me, I had the vegetarian, and it was really good. The vegetables were fresh and crisp. There wasn't much walking around at this stop, so we mostly stayed at the table and ate. My favorite parts of the tour was the food and the tour guide. I'm glad I tried it and can check another wine region off my list, even if it wasn't my favorite experience overall. For reference, we were picked up at 9:45 AM and dropped off around 3:00 PM.

But being overwhelmed by wedding planning meant that I was more than happy to just let go and trust the process. I honestly cannot imagine our trip going any better than it did, and a *huge* part was thanks to Tony from Baja Wine Tours. I could go on and on regarding all of the tiny and not so tiny details that contributed to our incredible weekend, but I'd rather highlight just a few that really stood out: 1. Individualization and Customization- Tony worked closely with my friends to capture the perfect trip for us, which meant a healthy amount of booze and incredible food. He presented options and was completely flexible both prior to and during the trip. I have no question that i will be revisiting several of these spots with the hubby in the future. 2. Ease with Large Group- We were travelling with a crew of 10 which can pose challenges with places to stay, settling tabs, travelling, etc. Tony helped us find the perfect place to stay with separate rooms and plenty of space and picked us up and drove us to all sites. The best part was that he assisted with handling the tab at most of the restaurants and wineries and then provided a total at the end for everyone to contribute towards, Except for me, which was my personal favorite part. :) 3. Border Crossing- Tony picked us all up at my home on Thursday morning and loaded up the vehicle with all of our luggage like an absolute pro. We were immediately comfortable with him as he came off as friendly and outgoing, however also very professional and trustworthy. We only grew to love him more throughout the trip, and the crossing back into the US on Saturday night was one of the easiest that I have experienced in all of my trips to Mexico over the years. I cannot express how much I recommend working with Tony and the rest of the team at Baja Wine Tours to experience Via de Guadalupe. We can't wait to go back!

From the moment we were picked up by Jose to the last drop off at the border, we were able to visit most of the wineries, three of the best restaurants in the Valley with a great stay at a great Boutique Hotel located in the middle of the vineyards. Last stop of course, was our drop off right at the border by Jose. Jose was "part of the group" of 8 of us as he helped us navigate to the different stops, we obviously spent a great amount of time in the roomy van he drove around for 2 days. Very friendly and helpful, we could not help to feel he was part of us. We even invited him to have our Saturday night dinner with us instead of just waiting with us until dinner was over. The greatest part of this whole experience is that Jose took several pictures of us at the different tasting rooms, overlooking the scenery over the roadside ocean stops and backgrounds of the vast mountains and vineyards, so many pictures we would not have gotten as a group ourselves when the time was right. We are supposed to have a link to go to as soon as these pictures are collaborated together to keep these great weekend memories alive. Experience of navigating the region is a big part of what a tour company should be GREAT at, and although Jose did a great job, there were situations where we could of shortened our travel times by him being more familiar with the area, knowing more of the different places we did NOT know to go to, being more proactive to add to get the trip by taking us there. It is all years of experience and I am sure that had a lot to do with it, so a lot of room to grow there. All in all Jose made this trip easy to relax and enjoy. He was always there for us and even held our wines we purchased overnight in the van until the next day so we did not have to carry them into the hotel and back. Thank you Vinos de Baja Tours and especially Jose for really helping make our experience to memorable.
