We were wanting some decent food after a day at the PNE and we have been meaning to try paliottis west side for some time. The have a regular menu and a separate vegan menu! We were overjoyed at the option on the vegan menu. It made us very happy. It's just off of loughheed hwy, you can notice it small restaurant front from the hanging patio lights. It offered a comfy atmosphere. They had indoor and outdoor seating. The staff were super friendly and attentive even while being low staffed for the night and dealing with take out orders. We ordered --vegan Caesar, one virgin, on regular --vegan fungi town penne --vegan Cajun chick'un penne Both dishes were so tasty. We tried so hard to finish everything, but despite the amazing flavour we were unable to eat everything. We combined both dishes into one take out container and the two sauces were a delightful surprise. The Caesar's were delicious too. I was so very pleased with the menu and our choices. Ordered pizza from here tonight. Spent $79 with tip. Ordered 2 gluten free pizzas. Crust was under cooked on both pizzas. Garlic was burnt. I've roasted garlic before. If you burn it, it's horrible and can't be eaten. My sister removed the toppings and ate them instead. I've had gluten free pizza before and never had this issue anywhere else. I've heard such amazing things about this place so I was really surprised for my first experience. read more

The food is amazing and they have the best bread ever. Portions are good for the price. Garlic Cheese Bread (5/5) Super crispy, cheesy, and garlicy. Can't go wrong with a classic garlic bread. Calzone (5/5) Super delicious with a decent amount of filling. I got it with bbq sauce, bacun, spinach and onions. There was more bbq sauce on the side to dip which was nice. Pierogies (5/5) I had bad experience with pierogies, but this one was pretty good. Decent amount of filling and the wrapper wasn't too thick. I would've like more caramelised onions though to make it more flavourful. Spring Rolls (5/5) Flavour was good and I loved how they added a lot of cabbage. Unfortunately they were drenched in oil and fell apart really easily. They still tasted nice though. Caesar salad (5/5) The caesar dressing was creamy and flavourful, and the greens were fresh. There was a decent amount of croutons. A bit expensive for what it was. Potato skins (4.5/5) Good amount of cheese and bacun on top, but could use some ranch dressing on the side once you eat all the toppings and are left with just potato (I used my own ranch to dip). Pesto cheese bread (4.5/5) Again, super crispy and cheesy with a decent amount of toppings. The pesto was nice, especially paired with the tomatoes. Dumplings (4/5) These were crispy with a good amount of filling, but they were missing a lil' something in terms of flavour and were quite oily. Brownie (4/5) I liked how there were lots of chocolate chips and even a chocolate frosting/ganache. The texture was decent (a bit dense and cakey). However, it was a bit too sweet for my liking I think it tastes like a convenience store brownie (not in a bad way). Anything with bread/dough is amazing - I would recommend the garlic bread and calzone. Pierogies and potato skins are delicious too. Their chinese food is good but very oily. I personally would skip the desserts. read more

We have driven out from Vancouver 4 times now - twice at the old location and twice at the new location. We go for the vegan menu and will be back, but here's a few points: The good - The food is amazing. And I mean AMAZING. The vegan tzatziki is better than any tzatziki I've ever had, the pizzas are fantastic, the appetizers are huge (I was so full after the pizza roll appy that I could only eat 1 piece of pizza!) You won't even know you're eating vegan food - it's delicious! The real winner has got to be the desserts though - vegan and light and fluffy Oreo cheesecake is a must. The bad - The bathroom is outside and around the back of the restaurant in the back alley... kinda strange and cold! There's a sign on the door telling you to leave it open so when you sit on the toilet in winter - it's FREEZING. The food was quite slow and has been slow at both locations all 4 times. Both times in the new location we asked for all the food to go in at once and to just bring it as it's ready as fast as possible, but both times appetizers came first (after half hour+) and the rest coming quite a bit later - which was hard on the kids who were sitting there waiting for their dinner for about an hour). It's pretty clear our food didn't go in all at once and was not brought out as fast as possible (haha). Next time we will be sure to be very clear about that. Overall I would recommend this spot (pee before you go) and leave some time for the slow service. read more

Awful! I literally had to leave to throw up. To start though, they offer 10% off the menu for a good review, so DO NOT trust the majority of reviews. We ordered wine, a starter and 2 pastas. We were told that bread would be here soon (as usual in an Italian), but the bread came after all the rest of the meal. We were given a hot (not room temp, but actually hot) wine that we didn't order. We told them it wasn't the right one and then they came back after (after 5 mins) letting us know that they didn't have what we ordered - this one was $10 more, WHICH they tried to charge us for too! Scallops were ok, not over cooked but ok. Oil and vinegar for the bread came after the starter. Then we had to remind them to clear plates, before the pasta came out. (Still before bread!) The pasta sauce tasted like it was fresh out of a big package, it wasn't good. I even had to leave to throw up after a few bites. The pasta was fine, but overall it tasted bad, nothing special, they messed up a lot. They clearly cannot cope with takeout orders and In house customers. It was just so so bad. Even people in the car park waiting said it was taking far tooooo long. Gross, don't go! read more

This place is soooo good!! Ok first off, everything is made from scratch... Focaccia bread was fresh out of the oven, cauliflower wings crispy & breaded to perfection (w their focaccia bread crumbs we learned) and very generously portioned (most places you might get 6, here at least 15 big pieces). Portions are HUGE so leftovers for days or you could very easily share a meal and feed two adults. Largest vegan menu I've ever seen for a place that isn't exclusively vegan in addition to their usual large omnivore menu (Gluten free options too). Definitely no room for dessert although I'm dying to try that since they also have vegan options. And last but not least, our server Marissa was outstanding! Attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable, easily offered up suggestions and genuinely friendly. Excellent value/quality for the pricing... We'll definitely be back soon!! read more

Roberta and her team are the BEST!!!! For both birthdays in a row I drove out east from Richmond just to get that authentic vegan Italian experience. I just went this Monday and Roberta legit took care of me like family. They have an incredibly HUGE menu full of killer plant based dishes!!! The pizza rolls are the best I've ever had, super gooey. The meat n chz ravioli in cajun cream is full of flavour. The cauli wings in cajun w bbq sauce is AMAZING!!! I made that combo (not on menu) and it's even better! Cheesecake is exactly like the NY cheesecake I used to eat as a kid. 100% worth the drive, and a total gem for the MR community!! Make a reservation! Also, expect to be there a couple hours enjoying their relaxed dining experience. Besides the usual menu, they also have a full vegan menu!! If you don't have time to enjoy sitting in, they deliver AND are on Skip the Dishes. I may or may not be addicted to the Chicken Caesar wrap on their lunch menu. ;) What to order? Anything! Our family has been going to Paliotties for their Vegan Menu since before they moved to the New location. We have been ordering delivery during the pandemic. We love the Pizza and pasta and their Vegan Cesar and Cauliflower wings are to Die for. I have tried almost everything on the Vegan menu. I especially like the Penne Pagliacci and the Vegan Lasagna! The Deserts are to Die for as well ! The service is friendly and the patio is now Dog friendly. I highly recommend the place The picture is from the old location. I was not happy after receiving my dishes. I specifically made sure that my entrees did not come with mushrooms. I was assured they did not contain them. When you have to pick the mushrooms out of one of your meals, it is not that enjoyable. read more

a minute ago We decided to take another chance on this chain as the location was new. I had not eaten at Paliottis since I got food poisoning from a minestrone soup a few years ago btw still cannot eat that soup to this day. We heard so much hype about the food so thought it must be better now. We ordered through door dash which ended up taking over 2 hours to arrive. That was okay as we know these are weird times. The crab cannelloni sold out but no one called us and asked what we wanted as an alternate. Instead we got a shrimp fettuccine. No one changed what we had paid and compensation was a dessert we did not want. We later found out the dessert was actually part of a buy more than $50 and get a free dessert but was falsely presented as a "sorry we swapped your order" so early we paid more for a meal we did not want part of. The other order was chicken Marsala and mash potato with garlic bread. The entire order was inedible, cold, glutinous and severely over salted. The garlic bread was a dry brick begging to be out out of its misery. I am not the worlds best cook but even I could do better. I threw my $60 plus meal in the garbage. It had been a long week and all I wanted was someone to give me a decent meal I did not have to cook. It seems that was asking too much for this spot. All I can say is maybe the regular cook was sick and they asked a non cook to do it, that would make sense considering the meal we got. Regardless we won't be going back. That will teach us to not stick with our usual eat out spots which we love. Maple ridge has some great eateries but this is not one of them. I put one star because you cannot choose zero. read more
