My husband and I took advantage of the beautiful weather after hurricane Hillary and drove to Pacific Palisades to take a walk and have dinner. The views here are breathtaking. A lovely path to take a walk or run. You will also find a few benches overlooking the ocean, perfect for taking a break and unwinding. Love watching the sunset from here. read more

When you hear Pacific Palisades all we can moot is that it's the creme de la creme of views of the pacific ocean, cliffs and canyons. Palisades Bluffs Park is a small park in Pacific Palisades that offers impeccable view of the ocean and the coastal highway. It sits on a cliff overlooking the palisades residential area. Moreover, it has a modicum of concrete benches and trees. I even saw a young deer, Rudolph, down the cliff grazing the lush green bushes. It wasn't crowded at all when I visited. Parking is available in the surrounding neighborhood. Overall, I think it's a modest park with magnificent ocean view. I highly recommend you visit this park. read more

I wanted to take myself on a little "self-date" and enjoy some takeout with a view, so I figured Palisades Bluffs Park was the best place for that. Parking was easy in the neighborhood. The park was definitely a lot smaller than I was expecting. It consisted of three concrete benches and a small grass area in between. Luckily, one of the benches was available when I got there. The view was breathtaking. It felt very peaceful and relaxing. I would say that this park is definitely more like an overlook. Nonetheless, it's still a place you have to visit! read more

Palisades Bluffs Park is between Santa Monica and Malibu and this park overlooks the Pacific Ocean. Waited a while for the sun to burn off the marine layers and it such a fun place for enjoy green and ocean breeze. Lots of active people walking, jogging and walking their pooches, including me:) Fendi is so very social. read more

Came here for the first time yesterday around 3:45. It wasn't too busy. The views are incredible of PCH with Santa Monica to the south and Malibu to the north. I do wish there was more of a path to walk on and that the walk is longer, but there is a small path. Highly recommend coming here for a walk, run, and see to the views!! There is street parking in the residential area. I would definitely come back and it would be nice to come for the sunset. read more

This is one of my favorite spots in the Palisades. It's a low-key park with amazing views of Santa Monica to the south and Malibu to the north. As it's off of a quite residential area, the park is also very quite. Most people who come here seem to be locals, taking a walk or walking dogs. So foggy! Narrow streets to get up here, use caution! Up high - wayyyy up. You will not believe this drop if you are a first timer. Dogs ok here on the leash, bring your own poo bags. Keep a tight tether on your pooch so that you do not get pulled over the cliff! The fences where there are some, are old, white, painted, unstable wooden ones. The traffic is closed at the very top maybe for safety or privacy. Parking on street. No restrooms. It is a simple place to enjoy the ocean views if there on a clear day. read more

Nice spot to view the sun set beyond the mountains. It's a small park but I like that it's away from traffic. Street parking was easy to find. The cliff drops are breathtaking. Spectacular views all around. There's also a small grassy area to sit. As well as a few benches that line the circular path. Uh MAY zing views!!!!!!!!!! I kept saying "wow!" Not to mention the bonus that the flick, The Last Boy Scout, was filmed here too! Truly along the "way of the Waves" is this neighborhood stroll with the sunniest, sweeping views along the Malibu coastline and the Pacific....splendor and glorious SMonica below. BEAUTIFUL views above the Palisades and plenty of free parking. Nice to see Pacific Coast Hway from so high above (and feel good that you are NOT stuck in that traffic). Tip: Go the the Southern Part of the bluffs (left) and wind your way down a little hill to the right and you'll be just above the mobile home park where you can extend your walk a bit -- heading past a drainage ditch. Then come up the hill and you are back where you started. Dog friendly although I'd keep them on leash as there is some car traffic at times. read more

Amazing view, serene, relaxing, romantic, etc. The sound of the waves , the feel of the wind, Late at night if you're lucky, you'll catch a pair of deer walk by grazing. Caught it twice, couldn't believe my eyes. read more

This is a great spot that isn't too crowded. Parking would be in a residential area so just be aware of that and that there are no public restrooms. Makes for great walks, highly recommend you walk away from the park to the south and catch the swing! read more

Great view with faint ocean sound that is super meditative. If you go at night, make sure to go to the brick house a few houses left of Lombard Ave. Some crazy lady comes out and starts whining which is really entertaining. She says you have to leave but you don't according to all Palisades and California Laws so don't worry :). Just outside of her house there is a great spot to watch cars roll by and look at the sun setting to your right. Enjoy! read more

Cute small park overlooking the Pacific ocean that is dog friendly. You will need to find parking on the street nearby as there is a gate obstructing the pavement. This is dog friendly which is a plus. There are a few benches to sit on and take in the view. I would argue that sunset is the most beautiful time :) read more

This is just such a beautiful area to go for a walk or jog. If you have a furry friend, all the better... we took ours and she loved it. It is not much of a park in terms of area to run around or explore. On on side it is totally residential but the views are gorgeous, it is a nice easy stroll, dogs on leash are allowed and there is a super cool tree swing you must check out. Not a touristy spot but perfect for some chilled out Cali vista! read more

This overlook runs along the tiny residential street of Via De Las Olas, and is apparently part of Palisades Park up by the library. I've reviewed that park already though, and since the two are not really connected by trails (as far as I know, or maybe they are?)..... I will call this the bluffs park It's an overlook moreso than a real park. It's across the street from the beautiful homes on the east side of Via De Las Olas, and the road has always been partially blocked off, I assume to limit visitor traffic. Yesterday I saw a horde of bulldozers and other heavy equipment parked there, so I wonder if they are planning to work on that decaying stretch of residential street. The fence along the bluff is kinda shot, too. In fact the place is all run down, generally!! Haha but that adds rustic charm in many ways, to the 5 star views. Lots of people know about the overlook at the far north end of this park. It's above Temescal Canyon Road and Will Rogers Beach. Asilomar Park is on the other side of Temescal. I've been coming to Via De Las Olas bluff since I moved to LA. It has one of the best views in all LA. You get the hills and ocean to the north, and to the south you see a distant view of Santa Monica Pier. There are benches, it's never crowded. It's peaceful. There is a path that goes all the way down to PCH....along the side of the bluff. Scary! Haha I am never going on it, not in this lifetime. But I creeped over to the edge of the bluff just to take photos of it. Eeeek..... Anyways, this is a spot you must visit if in the area. Outstanding, stunning views. Definitely wouldn't call this a "park". We call it the woodchips. Beautiful for sunset viewing, or a quiet walk. It can get pretty crowded on weekends. Sometimes a guy flies his remote controlled airplane which is very entertaining. read more

Love the view here. It's not very crowded too. Well until recently. You can over see the Santa Monica beach from here. There's surprisingly a lot wild life here. Saw a few rabbits and even owls flying above. Right below there is also a small skating and biking ramps set up. Looks kind of dangerous so unless you know what you're doing, i would not try it. The bluffs...I grew up coming to the bluffs. This isn't the EXACT one that I grew up coming to due to construction but I'll take it. It's still a beautiful view although not as beautiful as the original bluff. You can never go wrong coming here for a piece of serenity. Be careful though...no railing on the sidewalk.
