A very scenic park, that stretches north from the Santa Monica Pier, and is very long. This park has fantastic views all around, the ocean, the freeway, and it's a great place to take a long stroll or even a run!! A very popular park, given its proximity to everything in this area, there were lots of people all along this park. It's also maintained very well. You do have some homeless people here, but very few. But the views here are what stood out the most to me!!

Iconic Palisades Park along the bluffs reliably delivers. It's one of the shining aspects of Santa Monica. Sadly you have to maintain your wits about you due to the homeless. Santa Monica has been on a tough trajectory. Human element aside this is a spectacular vista of the Pacific. Truly a favorite. The rose gardens, the sporadic art installations, Saint Monica's statue and gazebos are special and quaint giving you moments to reflect on the majestic pacific. It's iconic, and unlike any other city I've explored. If in Santa Monica, a walk on the bluffs is a must. It's a sacred spot with beautiful views of the Santa Monica mountains stretching out to Malibu and South to Palos Verdes. On the clearest of days, you can even see Catalina.

I've been coming to Palisades Park pretty much my whole life and this is a great place. Today they have a birthday party for a four year-old dog by the name of Lulu. There's so many people and they're having a great time with their doggies. I'm a dog lover, so I like it.

Literally my happy place. Perfect spot for a beach picnic, watch the sunset, enjoy live music on Sundays, and take your dog a a leisurely walk.

I have Bootcamp in this park 3xs a week. It is a beautiful location with lots of ocean breezes, puppy watching and palm trees.

Palisades Park is adjacent to the Santa Monica Pier. It's a nice park with lots of grass area and bench seating. You may picnic, take a nap, or chill and overlook the Pacific ocean on a sunny day. Please be warned that there will be vendors who will try to sell you miscellaneous items. If you don't want to be bothered with the vendors, I would recommend not walking towards their way. Just walk around them. It's quite a long park. My eldest daughter and I got a chance to stroll through it. There's a beautiful rose garden within the park. The grounds are well kept and maintained. It is located along a very busy street so do be careful as there may be alot of traffic. Nevertheless, it's a great place to sit and enjoy the view and possibly watch the sunset if you stay long enough.

Great place to do a picnic, hang out, and people watch. Lot of people walk their dogs. The park itself is pretty long but the north part has more of a grassy area. There are park benches, art structures, and beautiful views of the Santa Monica beach. It can also be crowded at times over the weekend so don't expect too much privacy. Parking can be very challenging. The north end has neighborhood parking and meters but watch out for restrictions like street cleaning and no parking in the evenings in certain areas.

This is a beautiful park over looking the beach and ocean. It has a great walking path and is dog friendly. The views are amazing and also you can access many shops from this part of Santa Monica. The bathrooms are plenty and super clean.

Cool little park area on top of the cliffs by the beach! Great view, nice path, and very clean surroundings. There are restrooms available with sinks.

Came here to meet up for the monthly Camber App walk. The park itself has a memorial rose garden which was our meeting spot for the walk. Park is just past the pier, but on a cliff and has a really nice view of the beach. It's a narrow strip of land but wide enough for nice stroll, sit and take in the views or to do some yoga outside and under the towering palm trees. Parking is on the street or at the park itself and it's metered parking topping out at 2 hours for about $5.75. We went down one of the staircases and crossed over the bridge to the beach and walked down to the pier and back. It's a nice park to have a picnic with friends or lay around and do nothing.

You still get an occasional homeless person roaming through, but not as bad as 2021-2023. The further north you get away from the pier, the less Riff Raff you will find. The Park is nice. The grass is cut low. If you go closer to the North end, you'll find some tables to do a picnic at. Otherwise it's just patches of grass here and there. Bring your own toilet paper and a$$ gaskets if you absolutely must use the bathroom. Bathrooms are Unisex, gender neutral, single stalls with individual locking doors. Parking is metered 9am - 6pm daily, with a 5 hour limit. Otherwise it's "free" between 6:01pm - 8:59am. There is NO Parking on Tuesday between 7am-9am, probably for street sweeping/cleaning.

Nice park for a walk along the bluffs. Lots of delicious vistas on a clear day. If the tide is right you can see the remnants of the old breakwater. The grounds are well kept and clean. Highly recommended. You can even walk a short distance to the beach and pier.

In Santa Monica? Isn't it required to take a walk through Palisades Park? Beautiful views of the water, lots of options for crossing over to the beach, and great people watching! It's a must in Santa Monica.

Cool park, near the business type area. Can see the Santa Monica Pier from here. A handful of palm trees to give you the So Cal vibes.

The park was fantastic, pristine and spacious with a top tier playground. Felix's parents claimed a prime seating area right outside the playground, where we could eat and socialize while keeping an eye on our various kids. The set-up felt very safe and easy. I admit to losing track of my five-year-old for long stretches at a time, and once finding him in a piece of playground equipment with a group of children he didn't know, giggling as two of their dads spun them around and around. My two-year-old spent a lot of time in the sand with several toddler friends, pouring sand into a play table and also all up in their clothes. We brought our elderly basset hound Duke in a mobility stroller, and he got lots of attention, too. It was a nice outing for our whole family. I also couldn't help but notice that the park was right next to the Santa Monica Airport and other airplane-themed entertainment. We live pretty far from Marine Park, but I have a feeling we'll be back.

Parking was a breeze. The park has an indoor room you can reserve if you plan far enough ahead, but the outdoor tables are first come first served. Felix's parents claimed a couple tables and brought two of their own, creating a sizable shady party space right next to the playground. I think the whole area was surrounded by a fence, so none of the pre-school age children could easily wander off. My boys had a blast playing in the sand and on the cute structure. There was also a little set-up for puppet shows, and all the kids kept going over there and pretending to buy and sell ice cream. I live too far from Santa Monica to make much use of Joslyn Park, but I know a good park when I see one. I'd recommend this place if you have young children, whether for party time or just a relaxing hour of play.
