A wonderful dental practice with a bright cheery waiting area and staff, as well as expert dental treatment.

I am thrilled with my tooth health and aesthetic look! They really put the personal touch in things, and you never feel they are rushing to the next person! They have also prioritized emergencies/urgent situations all the time -- impressed with Dr. Ladakis, Dr. Amiri, Janelica, and Shenique! And the hygienist -- Christina--!! Awesome!!! Her attention to detail is fantastic; she road-mapped me and taught me how to take care of my teeth exceptionally! Daniel

Terrible billing, broken promises, zero accountability.Avoid this office due to their terrible billing practices. I had a crown and X-rays done in 2023, and somehow didn't receive a bill until September 2025. Unsurprisingly, my insurance denied the claim because it was submitted far too late -- despite being told the X-rays were covered. At my recent cleaning visit, I was blindsided with a $1,177 balance. The staff blamed a former billing manager and "negotiated" a deal: I'd pay $513 for the crown and not be charged the $664 for the X-rays. I paid the $513. Now, weeks later, they are trying to charge me the $664 anyway. This is inexcusable, unprofessional, and shows a complete lack of accountability. I walked out without my cleaning and will never return. Patients deserve honest, transparent billing -- not broken promises and decades-late surprises. Do not trust this office with your care or your wallet.

The dentist did not know that I needed a root canal. I agreed to have a bridge done on my lower right molars. After the temporary bridge was implanted, the back molar needed an emergency root canal which was was done by an endodontist days later after the temporary bridge was implanted. The pain and suffering that I was experienced prior to the root canal/post procedure of the temporary bridge was excruciating. The pain was throbbing in my tooth that lasted days until I had to get a root canal to remove the pain. The dentist and assistant at Smiles told me that the pain would "go away" after a couple of days. So, I waited for the pain to go away. I couldn't sleep, I couldn't eat, pain medication didn't work and I could hardly get through my work at my job. Therefore, I had to get an emergency root canal with a different endodontist before the permanent bridge was implanted. Then, when the permanent bridge came in to replace the temporary, the permanent bridge did not fit. So, the dentist made another bridge. Finally, they put the permanent bridge in. I asked for a partial refund for the pain and suffering, as I have spent a lot of money on this procedure as well as prior procedures in the past. The dentist and upper management at Smiles are aware of the pain and suffering that I went through due to the dentist not knowing that I needed a root canal. The dentist and dentist's assistant told me that the pain from the tooth that was grinded to close to the nerve would "go away." I'll never go back. They don't know what they're doing.

On the day of my appointment, as soon as I walked in, the receptionist immediately asked for my credit card and held it. I was so confused. He saw my expression and said, "Well, how will you be paying?" -- as if I was going to run off without paying. Is it because I'm a minority? Huge red flag. RACIST. I clearly stated I didn't have insurance -- do you think I would come in if I wasn't prepared to pay? I felt cornered. I was in pain and desperately needed help with my tooth, so I gave him my credit card. He also held on to my ID. I filled out nine pages of paperwork. Looking around the office, I noticed they offered Invisalign. I laughed to myself, wondering how they'd even try to market that to me when I was only there for some tooth pain. Turns out, I was wrong. When I was finally called in, the doctor and assistant were nice -- but instead of actually trying to help me, knowing I had no insurance, they just took X-rays and pictures (without telling me the cost or asking me to approve anything). Then they tried to upsell me, saying "a quick fix isn't going to cut it" and that my bite was unhealthy -- and that I needed Invisalign. Red flag number two. In my head, I felt cornered again. I knew I wasn't going to get help for the issue I came in for. She just kept talking, trying to sell me whatever she could. I wanted to cry and go home. So I just nodded and agreed. She handed me a $2,650 treatment plan -- knowing I had no insurance. Then they charged me $265 for the X-rays and pictures without telling me beforehand. I felt trapped and said "okay" -- and then they ran my card themselves and only asked me to sign after the charge, when they returned my ID and card. I've never been treated like this at any other practice. I went home still in pain, and my husband was furious. Thank you very much for the heartless treatment today. This place is a complete waste of time -- RACIST, heartless, and only trying to upsell. STEER CLEAR. Unless you're rich and white -- maybe then they won't hold your card hostage.
