They absolutely love it, and as a parent, I see so many benefits. It's amazing for discipline, keeps kids active and in shape, and most importantly -- teaches them confidence and self-defense. Honestly, I feel like this kind of training helps prevent bullying situations because kids learn how to stand up for themselves. There are classes for different age groups, as well as programs for adults, which makes it great for the whole family. The first trial class is free, which is a great way to try it out. For the trial, kids are provided with a school uniform -- sometimes it may be a bit big, but that's totally fine just for the first class. After that, you can purchase the proper uniform in your child's size (usually includes a T-shirt, pants, gi jacket, and belt). Kids typically train about twice a week, and older students can attend more often. The staff is always polite, respectful, and very patient with kids -- they really know how to connect with different personalities. The coaches are charismatic, engaging, and know how to keep children interested and motivated. Another big plus -- convenient parking, and parents can stay and watch the class while sitting comfortably on a bench. The facility also has two restrooms and a water fountain. I hadn't done any form of exercise in years and was in BAD shape. I was nervous to even go in let alone actually work out. That first class was with Coach Daniel and there was only 1 other guy there. It was an incredibly challenging workout... I almost puked. But Daniel was cool to me and made me feel welcome and I've always liked boxing as a sport so I signed up. As I continued to show up, I got to know all the coaches and some of the members and I started to feel a sense of community there. That was important to hold me accountable and keep me from quitting. Years later, I've fought in one of their Member Fight Nights, I look, feel, and carry myself completely different, and I'm still showing up. The whole team there is great, but extra shoutout to coach bam who has been my trainer for the past year and has helped me so much. In summary, this is a great well-maintained gym with beautiful equipment, accommodating class schedules, and knowledgeable coaching.
