I had a terrible experience with Palm Beach Tan. They charged me for a higher plan, but only allowed me to use the lower level beds for the last 10 days. I had written a longer review. However, they had my other yelp reviews removed. They also provided me with an email address to contact them. They have not responded to any of my email. I am requesting a $30 refund. I'd like to start by saying had their communication with PBT management been better, and had I heard from their regional manager via email, I would not be sharing this complaint on Yelp. However, I know other ladies who have had issues with PBT's lack of communication so I wanted to share my experience. I bought a tanning package around March or April. It was a simple package but had I read the exact fine lines, I may not have purchased it. For a few months I'd use the lay down beds (as my package allowed), and I'd occasionally get a spray tan. For several days and weeks, I stopped tanning. I dropped into the store around the 13th or 14th of May, asking if I could spray tan. See, I hadn't used my membership that month and I no longer wanted to use it for the laydown beds. I was at the counter and the girls were getting it ready for me to use a spray tan, on their own accord before they'd even looked into my account. I told them the situation and they seemed like it would be no big deal. Then they check the computer and see that my package doesn't include a spray tan at that current time (which is difficult to see because they throw in freebies often). So that day they wouldn't let me spray tan without additional costs. I asked them if they could adjust my package to simply spray tanning so that this one visit I could spray. They could not do it. Actually they would not do it, without a fee. They even phoned their manager to see if I could do a spray at no additional charge. She told them NO. Please keep in mind I hadn't visited the store in weeks. Needless to say, because of their lack of customer service- and realizing they didn't need or want my business, I left the storefront on Hillside after withdrawing my account. Even as I was leaving, the girls kept asking me if I'd just want to use the lay down beds and I repeated multiple times that I wouldn't be doing that anymore. Later that day when I reached out via email, I heard absolutely nothing. If and when I need to tan again- I will not be at PBT. They were not helpful, in all aspects. I have to start out by saying I have no idea why they have such low stars on their ratings. So far the young ladies I have met are incredible. Extremely friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. I definitely would not go anywhere else. read more

I won't go back to this PBT the girls are unprofessional and very rude and lazy too I went to tan at this location and it was dead when I got into the bed several bulbs were out and the misting spray was out. You got nobody inside but me and can't even buy water in the deal for the most to work!! read more

When I signed up a face mask wasn't required yet upon returning a few days later i was refused service for not wearing one. Called 2 thoer salons in town and they did not require. This is a owner choice and all political. Manager was extremely rude saying my shirt wasn't a mask even tho it covered as much of my face as her mask did. Sweet employees one of them should be manager. Manager was sloppy and looked like she just rolled out of bed. While regular workers looked very well put together and much better customer service than their manager. read more

Ask for CeCe! She has loads of information. All accurate (because I researched all the information before I purchased my membership)! Her recommendation for the tanning lotion was spot on as well for my needs. And on my second visit she even remembered my name! Talk about fantastic customer service. Very impressed! read more

Not the greatest first impression. I came to this location because it is close to my house and I wanted to start up a new membership because it has been a while since I've tanned. I understand that it was very busy and only 1 girl was cleaning the beds and putting people in the system but what's not ok is to push a soon to be paying customer too off to the side to deal with later. Ten minutes pass by and people are still coming in and she still hasn't help me. I ended up leaving and going to the 45th and Coulter location. I walk in and it's just as busy but the girl working that location was also by herself and cleaning beds and putting people in the system and she had zero problem helping me get started and it took 3 minutes tops all with a smile on her face. I will gladly go out of my way to go to a different location than the Hillside location. read more

Although the beds and spray tan booth are great, they seem to rarely change bulbs, the spray tan has seemed to stop working as well, and it also emits an odd/moldy smell. One of my friends was diagnosed with a bacterial infection on her chest from using the spray booth at hillside! The invironment is great, but they treat their employees with disrespect as I have seen many great ambitious women leave in tears as corporate throws them out. Most explained to me that they were no longer allowed on the property because the general manager Kourtney Keith find ridiculous and horrible reasons to write up, or fire, the girls. Most girls can't even use the establishment as a reference later as they are scared that Kourtney will not be professional when she is called. I would be careful if applying for a job here, as well as be aware of who you are spending your money with! read more

I have tanned for years at the Palm Beach on 45th and Coulter and the beds are greasy and dirty and when you bring it to the attention of the staff they are rude and when they go back to re clean the bed they just wipe it again with the dirty towel they picked up from the dirty towel basket. They don't use any cleaner on the beds...lotion all over them! when the bed heats up you are laying in grease and sweat from the person before you! I have complained but it is not any better months later..leaving unhappy simply fix they couldn't handle! read more
