I cannot hold a tan to save my life. When exposed to the sun/tanning beds, my skin turns from a pasty white color to bright red (google image of lobster for reference). It's not that I want to look like I live on a beach or anything, but a little more pigment in my skin adds a little radiance and makes me feel just a little more confident. I decided it was time to give spray tan a try. After arriving and selecting the plan I wanted to try, the attendant went through the costs. I noted the high tanning tax (understood that wasn't their fault, wasn't blaming them). The attendant was quick to say "You can thank Obama for that." Cool...glad we've brought your political thoughts into this one. I'm respectful everyone's beliefs, but especially in public places (where it's very unnecessary) it just seems better to keep them to ourselves. While I believe the comment was innocently motivated, it was also unnecessary and put a bad taste in my mouth. The facility was clean and aside from the one comment, the staff was friendly and professional. The services definitely feel overpriced, but I have nothing to compare them to and I am confident that they are relatively par for the course. I was pleased with the result of the spray tan. After it set in, I felt a little less pale and a little more confident. It doesn't take much for this to become a 4+ star review...just a little decorum. No need to make this experience as awkward as thanksgiving dinner with my family. read more

We went to all the Palm Beach salons in the area while searching for a good deal on a membership, and found all to be clean, and the employees friendly. There are full-length mirrors in each room, there are (as always) lotions to purchase (but they don't try to hard-sell you) if you need them. All in all it was a pleasant experience at each of the locations. I have no knowledge of the membership process since we did not get a membership, so no comments there. read more

Almost all of the time, the staff is friendly and helpful. I hope for most of my experiences here to be quick in, quick out. Unfortunately, this is not always a timely errand. Recently, I waited in line for 13 minutes while the only employee working explained a tanning package to a new customer. While I believe it's important for new customer to understand the polices, I believe it's equally important for current customers to be greeted and taken care of in a timely manner. I told the girl I knew it wasn't her fault, but that the store should always be staffed with at least two employees to avoid this type of delay. I use the spray tan booths and am usually very satisfied with the color and quality. I recently received an unexpected rebate of $30 in a product credit for being a member. Nice perk! read more

I recently cancelled my membership that began I don't know maybe ten plus years ago! I was grandfathered in from Club Tan on Mall Rd. The employees at every location are constantly trying to push products and I finally got tired of it. Sometimes people are in a hurry and they don't want to be bombarded with it at every visit! You may want to encourage your employees to not make a customer feel they are imposing when they walk into the store during the last business hour. Maybe you should stress that point to them instead of sell sell sell! read more

Clean and good hours. The beds are mediocre at best- they never change the bulbs. So I have never gotten a good tan here. I've gotten far better tans at other local places. They need to change bulbs. Period. The staff is nice. The management are idiots. Sorry. That's mean, but literally have no clue over their own store. They are expensive and if they would update their bulbs it would be worth it read more

Update: When I called a second time they were able to credit me 4 months of tanning for the 4 months that I had paid and didn't use. It's definitely appreciated. In the future I will always request a paper copy of and changes to a contract! read more

It had been so long since I had tanned, but Emily took time to educate me about all the new technology, which was very impressive.

I've always been very happy with the beds, the spray tans, pricing and the customer service has always been excellent! But, I've had to go to a different salon due to their 24 hour rule. While building my tan, I like to go every day, starting with a lower amount of time then gradually working up. But, if I go in the afternoon one day, I can't go in the morning the next day. I have to wait 24 hours in between so I end up not going at all because the day after that I will want to go back in the morning. This is the only place I know of that does this and I've been tanning for many years, at many different salons in Northern and Western KY. I really wish they would change this policy because I wouldn't go anywhere else, ever! Not to mention my daughter's and friends. I'm sure they are doing it for safety reasons but in all of these years, I have never had any problems going anywhere else with less than 24 hours in between. PLEASE drop the 24 hour policy!! Consumer beware. After my credit card was hacked and I was issued a new account number, most vendors contacted me or I reached out to them to update my billing information. Palm Beach Tan however, kept "overriding" the transaction and was able to charge my new account. I am equally concerned that the credit card company allowed them to do this but Palm Beach Tan never contacted me when the charge was rejected. Instead, they continued to override until it finally went through under my new account. When I went into the store today to ask why they didn't contact me the attendant said, "yes, we charged it on June 5th and it was rejected". Why wouldn't you contact me at that time? Every other vendor that I had reoccurring charges with did. I would have been happy to give you the updated information and cancelled at that time. Instead, I suppose they were hoping to get an extra month out of me. read more
