I had a $200 cincysaver gift certificate and looked online at the services had to call and I booked what was advertised on their site an 80 min massage and 60 min anti aging facial. had to drive 41 miles to get there my facial and massage combined was 50 min total! according to their prices online that was worth about $90 at best!! also it's inside a gym so the entire time I could hear a spinning class going on with loud music and instructor yelling! one of the worst massage experiences I've ever had!! read more

I was almost wondering if I had come to the wrong place. There was nothing serene about Serenity! From the bright fluorescent lights in every room, to the "receptionist" playing loud music on his phone in the waiting area... It just wasn't a peaceful or relaxing experience I had hoped for. I will say that the massage therapist was very polite and the massage was good but it wasn't a full 60 minutes that I had paid for. It was more like 40. The sheets had a stain on them and the chair in the massage room was dirty. It was rather uncomfortable hearing the loud conversations of the staff outside my door during the massage as well. Everyone was friendly, but it was just not a professionally run establishment at all. I will not be going back. read more

As with previous reviews, the customer service is sub par at best. I'd like to write a review on their services, but getting service is harder than getting a ticket to the moon. I also purchased a Groupon here for a couples massage. When I finally got a call back, they were book the next 4 weekends and I couldn't get any evening appointment. I tried again, unsuccessful.... my Groupon expired and they were apparently booked every weekend. I still had the purchase value of the Groupon left so I decided to call before a long weekend. I call on a Tuesday morning (holiday was Thursday) wanting an appointment on Friday or Saturday. The voicemail system said they would return the call within 24 hours.... I got a call the following Wednesday! 8 days later.... Nonetheless, the hassle and time of trying to get an appointment here (no on-line booking) has become not even worth the $60 I paid for it. With the competition out there, it leaves me wondering how long this place will stay afloat. read more

I have purchased the Groupon for a 60 minute massage and have yet to be able to even get anyone on the phone to schedule an appointment. My girlfriend and I both purchased Amazon Local certificates for 60- and 90-minute massages. We have both called numerous times to schedule appointments and no one will get back to us. I decided to stop in on my lunch because it is near my office. No one was available to help me. Frankly, it isn't worth my time. We'll continue going to our usual massage spa. read more

Have no idea if this place is good but by the dis-service of not being called back to get an appointment, I imagine it is not. Called for over a week and no return call. I did call at 9am and finally got someone, who sounded like i woke her up. Calling in early october, she said the next available appointment was late November. Hilarious. I called the lady and she sent someone out there asap, but with the wait I was there for 2hrs and only got a 40min massage. I would not recommend this place. Very pleased with our massages. Therapists have good technique. We went to their new location, one block away. Never visited the old one. I agree that it's not teh most serene reception area, but treatment room was nice, clean and the headrest was well padded. Signage for their entrance was tricky to locate. Said they'd correct it ASAP. Rebooked for 2 more session each. Hoping to get Angela and Becky again. read more

I bought a Groupon for a 90 minute massage, scheduled an appointment, and at the conclusion of the massage I was not only hugely disappointed, but also grossed out. Seriously, I went home and took a shower immediately. Disappointments: I bought a 90 minute massage, but we started about 15 minutes late and concluded on time. I know that 90 minutes is never quite 90, but I was there 15 minutes before my appointment to fill out paperwork, etc. My therapist Tyler walked the other client down to the lobby at 7:05. Although I'm sure that Tyler is a nice person, I assume he is hugely inexperienced. He mostly just rubbed oil on my skin--very little massage and certainly nothing that connected to my major muscle groups. I asked him to use more pressure and his touch remained light. It was kind of like that awkward date when someone offers to give you back rub and you find yourself seriously wondering if it's worth letting things go forward. I had a moment where I thought, okay, when he finishes this area I'll be even for the most part and will just tell him to stop. He stopped before we even got to even, poor time management. Other disappointments: candles were lit and music was playing, but he kept the overhead light on; he took a phonecall in the middle of the session; I heard about sad personal things from him. Sure, it was All Souls Day, but if I'm laying naked and vulnerable with a stranger (e.g. a massage therapist) I need the therapist to know appropriate boundaries. Grossed out: As I got dressed after my lackluster time, I noticed how gross the carpet was, including a latex glove that hadn't quite made it into the trash can and dirt and leaves from plants that obviously aren't tended well. Other ick factors: The Erlanger location shares space with other businesses. When I arrived on Friday night, there was a family intervention happening in the conference room right next to the lobby space where I could hear every word. It was like a low-budget, calmer version of Dr. Drew in that no chairs were being thrown. But, still, it's hard to feel ready to relax when you can look through a set of glass French doors and see and hear about a complete stranger's addiction. Perhaps the other location in Ft. Mitchell is better and perhaps there are other therapists who have more experience, but for the cost of the Groupon and the small tip I provided, I would have rather taken myself out to dinner and a movie. You won't find Serenity at Serenity Massage and Bodyworks. My husband found Serenity Massage and Bodyworks via a Groupon coupon and purchased a massage as a gift for me. Unfortunately, the experience has been only unpleasant. And I haven't even received the massage! My appointment was set for the Fort Mitchell, Better Bodies location, which is one room with one table sandwiched between the men's and women's restrooms. I arrived on time and waited 10 minutes for the room to be free from the current massage therapist. I waited in the hall between the restrooms. Once the room was available, it took the massage therapist 5 minutes to provide me the necessary paper work. Fifteen minutes passed my appointment time, I officially entered the room and was asked for my Groupon number. When my husband purchased the massage and set the appointment, he provided the voucher number and was told all was set. The woman in front of me said nothing was recorded and I would not be given my massage unless I could produce the voucher or number. She then held a different customer's voucher in my face to aid in my understanding. Helpful. I called my husband and provided the number, a call which took 4 minutes tops. A call which should not have been necessary based on the information my husband was given when he made the appointment. Now, 20 minutes past my appointment, I was informed I could reschedule or have only a 40 minute massage. I opted to reschedule only to learn a day later the time I was promised by the massage therapist was not available and I would incur a $25 fee, a fact the therapist failed to mention when the rescheduling offer was made. This is ridiculous. The facility is shabby and not at all relaxing. The massage therapist was nothing but rude and snotty. She rolled her eyes from the minute I arrived, sighed loudly, answered questions begrudgingly and tapped her foot while I waited on the phone with my husband. What was supposed to have been a nice gift has become a stressful experience. DO NOT use this place. There's a reason they hock their massages on Groupon and Living Social for next to nothing. I have yet to resolve this situation and honestly want a simple refund. Shame on you Serenity. read more

My husband purchased two Groupons for massages at Serenity. We both had difficulty reaching anyone to schedule our appointments even though we called during their advertised business hours. I was finally able to schedule my massage, but when I showed up for the appointment, the Erlanger office was closed! I tried the other location inside the Better Bodies on Buttermilk. No one was there either, but the gym's receptionist gave me the owner's cell number. She told me that someone was supposed to call me to reschedule but no one ever did. She told me to expect a call the next day. No apology was given. Two days later I received a voice mail, but when I tried to call back, I could never reach anyone. After two weeks of leaving messages, I gave up and requested a refund through Groupon. I have serious doubts that this is even a legit business at this point. read more

I was treated on Sat. 10/13/12. The woman at the desk in the Erlanger was extremely unprofessional and rude. For background, I had made an appointment 6 weeks ahead. I was really looking forward to it and had to make arrangements for my daughter to be watched. I purchased a coupon on Livingsocial.com and called the number on the voucher. I don't recall that I picked a location to have my massage performed or if someone gave me the option at the time as it was quite some time ago and we all have hectic schedules. On the day of the massage, I went back to my voucher for a map and directions. The directions took me to Better Bodies, so I figured out on my own that the massage clinic was inside (now they've made the change on thier website). I called the number on the voucher with no answer (859-628-7032) 1:59pm. I sat and waited and was just leaving when I recieved a call back. I told the woman on the phone I was at Better Bodies where she informed me I was at the wrong location. Would they still be able to fit me in? She replied yes. To note, this was for a one hour massage. I asked for directions to the Erlanger location and drove there. When I got to the location I was lead up to the room and was told that I would only get a half hour massage because she was booked. I said I had paid for an hour massage and would like to reschedule then. At this point, I should have been told this on the phone before I drove over there. When I came downstairs to reschedule, I was immediately told by the woman at the desk the she cannot honor the voucher because I didn't reschedule 24 hours in advance. I had indicated that the voucher had stated that my appointment was at the Better Bodies location and it wasn't my fault I was late. Nor, did my confirmation indicate that I was expected at the Erlanger location in a very patient manner. She was extermely pissed off at this point, shaking her head at me and said we don't make any money off of these coupons and the massage therapist only gets paid $10 an hour. I work in Business Development and appreciate people's hard work, so I was a bit taken aback as this is no way to establish yourself. I mean the point is that you are using livingsocial to market and build your business. So then why do it and then point it out to your customers? Hard to believe, but some people KNOW that and bring a wad of cash with them to TIP thier massage professional. I didn't think she would need to point that out. I was then told that I couldnt get a new appointment until December in the snottiest tone of voice. I was so surprised by how she treated me that I really didn't want to go back. However, I DO plan to tell everyone how I was treated. I'm really sorry that this happened and I'm really disappointed in the way Serenity services potential repeat customers. They had the nerve to also mark the voucher as used. $30 was perhaps a lesson learned. read more

HORRIBLE!! I bought an Amazon local voucher. They refused to give me an appointment until almost 2 months in the future, because they said they don't make enough money off Amazon customers. They only have appointments available for customers who pay full price. Why sign up to sell on Amazon, if they feel they don't make enough money? I spoke to Kim, she is VERY rude. I get weekly massages, and am looking for a new place to go regularly, I guess this awful establishment will not be my new go to place. read more

What a waste of time! Bought a voucher for this business from Amazon, and set up an appointment for deep tissue. On the day of the appointment i called multiple times to confirm the app time and no one answered. I left 2 voice mails and drove 45 min to KY just to find their door locked. Nobody contact me before or after to reschedule my appointment. I called Amazon customer service just to find out that my voucher was claimed as I received a service. After my explanation, Amazon refunded me. I never heard back from Serenity. I never came across of such a poor customer service like this. After leaving approximately 10 messages (not joking) I have STILL yet to receive a call back even though it says you get a call returned on the next business day. I HAVE BEEN CALLING SINCE FEBRUARY after receiving the groupon and have yet to actually get the massage. After finally getting an appointment they called and canceled on me a few hours before. I worked for this establishment as a receptionist for a little over a week, before realizing that it was not professionally run, and that the owner had no idea how to run a business. There was one receptionist (me) that was scheduling appointments for both locations with a little over 3,000 discount coupons that had purchased online. As I stated I was the only one answering phone calls, mind you it was with a cell phone that was only able to put one person on hold at a time, not a multi- line phone system that could have easily put 10 + people on hold like most businesses have. I was also told that the owner could only pay me min wage because that's all she could do. She ended up hiring a male employee part time as well, with the same amount of hours and for the same position I held instead of doubling my wages, and giving me full time hours which I thought was a bit odd, considering was she told me. I was constantly blamed for incorrect scheduling even though the scheduling book was very messed up before I ever started, and the online scheduling app that was being used made errors of its own with not saving the information that was added. The massage therapists insisted on sitting at my desk, collecting groupons/discount coupons, and administering new client paperwork which was what I was hired for. The office was messy, and nothing was organized. No one dressed professional other than myself, or had uniforms displaying the company name. The massage therapists wore jeans with holes in them, and tee shirts to work, and the owner dresses extremely casual as well. I felt as though I stuck out like a sore thumb and quit before I was grouped in with the bad reviews, and unprofessionalism of the staff. So, for those of you wondering why your calls are not being returned, or why you are finding it impossible to schedule an appointment, it is because there is a excess amount of groupons, livingsocials, and deal chicken coupons online that are being purchased, and a single use phone line being utilized to schedule all of these coupons for both locations because the owner cannot get clients to come back. After working there, I have no doubts as to why. read more

Thank god I got this on DealChicken so I didn't pay a lot for it. I made the appointment weeks in advance (because of the deal that's all they had). When I arrived I was told to sit in a chair outside the "massage area" door. It was one small room located inside of a gym, under the weight room and next to the group fitness area. Needless to say it was loud before and during the massage. The person before me ran over about 5 minutes, so by the time I got in there it was 10 minutes after 7. I was supposed to get a one hour massage with a facial. I asked if the 10 minutes late was going to affect me and was assured no, I would get my full hour massage and a facial. My massage therapist, who I must say was amazing, finished the whole ordeal at exactly 8 since she had someone after me. Now, I don't blame her, she was great and clearly does not have much to work with at this place. I tipped her very well for her effort, but will never go back. Hopefully for her sake she gets a better place to do her craft, because she was really good. Also, there was a second door in the small room that was on the other side of the women's locker room. You could hear everything that went on in there. I recently went to Mantra Massage in Blue Ash, and for $5 cheaper you can get the most amazing massage in a very quiet atmosphere. No grunting, shrieking and dropping of weights. I also didn't feel rushed to dress and undress there, they booked me plenty of time for both and I still received my paid for hour. Moral of the story, you get what you pay for, a deal is not always a deal. read more
