The manager at the North Frisco store is awesome! Teri goes above and beyond to make sure she takes care of any concerns and always makes sure I am happy with my experience. She acts like I'm the most important person when I come in but also manages to handle the needs of numerous customers, all at the same time! She seriously is amazing and has helped me tremendously but suggesting other services, like red light bed, to address some skin and health concerns I had. Horrible Customer svc. I have a membership at this location and haven't used it in 9 months. I came in for a spray tan and was told my membership didn't include a spray tan. That was not what I signed up for but moving on, I have paid $69 a month for 9 months and haven't tanned once. I asked if I could still use a spray tan and they called the manager and was told "no." 9 months of unused tans and they wanted me to pay another 34.00 just to get a spray tan. While there, another gentleman was having a problem with his account and was told that someone else was using his name at a different location. How does that happen? I asked to cancel my membership and after a few minutes, was told that it had been cancelled. I asked for a printed copy showing that it had been cancelled. Because I asked for a printed version, they they went into the system further and figured out that I needed to sign a form to cancel. It's a good thing I asked!!!! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Been a customer for more than 10 years have had 2 issues with 2 different managers. So not too many. The new manager Terri at the Little Elm location is ridiculous. No customer service skills and a liar. Had my membership terminated today due to her LIES. Palm beach tan in Frisco is clean, and new. The girl up front isn't super friendly, and wasn't super helpful when I came in to get some ideas on what they offered. It had been a long time since I had been in a tanning bed and I was going out of town for a weekend away, and needed some advice on what would be best to get a small base tan. She only gave me the option of the 10 pack which was $170 and not something I wanted to spend just for a couple times. She even let me go in the bed for the full time which I hadn't been in the sun in a while so you can guess where that got me... just wish their customer service was a little better! That's what you are there for, to help people and give good recommendations based on your knowledge. Otherwise I like this place read more

I rarely ever write negative reviews, but the staff here are so rude, unhelpful, and unfriendly, i wish I would've known beforehand. I understand staffing can be hard and not everyone loves their job, but at least greet customers as they walk through the door and answer questions in a respectful way. You go in to get your tan. Nope they do not have the catalina color mixture. Suggest mystic but you pay all the upcharges , Really!!! I think a learning lesson is here! I would rather give zero stars but sadly that's not an option. The girls that work up front are incredibly rude. They have this vibe to them that they are better than everyone else and I'm not sure where that is coming from. Also their tans don't look good at all so that's bad advertising. Don't they work on commission? You'd think that they would have good customer service and be friendly in order to make more sales. Looking at the other reviews it seems that everyone else has had the same experience, so maybe management should hire some new employees. I will not be coming back to this location and will be letting friends and family know to choose a different place in the future when they want to tan. I have been a Palm Beach customer for years and all of a sudden when I come in after two or three months, I'm told it's a "new policy" that I can only tan for half the time! If I we're a new customer with no tanning history, I could understand this, however I was not informed of this "new policy" via email or mail; it certainly will affect my decision regarding my month to month membership. Never in my history of visits at Palm Beach have I ever used a bed for half the time, and I shouldn't have to start now. Furthermore, policy changes to our memberships should be given to us in advance via written or electronic means. By the way, please correct the issue with bed #11...error message on bed displays as follows: "Condensed water canister full. Please empty!" One more issue... if you know that a customer is immediately going into the Mystic booth in 6 minutes, don't let another customer jump in line to get in first, then make me wait for a while for them to get out when I was in line first to begin with. The other Palm Beach locations don't do this and neither should you. PS... The manager of this location is nice. read more

They are closing early now some days due to under staffed, and I understand that happens. The employees they do have are a pleasure, the rooms and beds I'm put in are always clean and I would recommend PBT on Eldorado to anyone asking me for a quality tanning salon. I purchased a package of ten tanning sessions for my wife birthday. Unbeknownst to me, she was recently seeing a dermatologist for some sun spots on her face. Obviously, she was keen to stay out of the sun until her condition was rectified. So I went back to Palm Beach to speak with Cory about a refund. He was very kind and walked me through the options. In then end, I didn't want to make a mistake and went with a refund. There was a bit of paperwork Cory filled out as he took down my info. The one downside is the refund is processed at corporate and could take a couple weeks. A bit inconvenient, but I left very happy. Chloe you're seriously awesome!!! She asks how your day is going right when you walk in with a big smile! Super funny too I feel like I made a friend in less than 5 min lol. She's super helpful with questions that you might have if you're a first time tanner, or if you've been tanning for a while. If you haven't tanned in a long time she recommends to not go the full time for safety purposes which I appreciate greatly. No one likes a burnt tooshie! I started going to this location and was happy with the level of service. However the last month they are always out of everything. As a Spray tan customer hair nets, the right color and special additives are a must! I get supply issues but the staff is always sitting on the counters and chatting. I have to ask for basic items that should be included. I feel like I am begging you to take my money and hope I get the results I paid for. Today, 4 associates sitting on the counter and they made no attempt to help solve my problems. Just sorry! Please fix these issues. read more

The employees here are very rude and lack "Basic Customer Service Skills" I walked in and was NOT greeted and I had to tell the girl what my last name was without her asking. The staff was polite, however, I wanted to do a Mystic Spray Tan. The only solution they had was light, so I had no choice but to do the Versa (which I don't really like). When I got to the room there was no shower cap, no baby wipes, and they gave me a hand towel for my entire body!!! I was not the only customer still here shortly after closing, but the doors were locked as I was trying to leave and neither person behind the counter felt the need to get off their a** and unlock it for me. I used to love this salon but the manager (I'm assuming) is rude and dismissive and Im not sure they really clean the beds. There is hair everywhere and it's pretty gross. There was a really nice guy there for awhile and he was always helpful and honest. Also, the beds need their bulbs changed. Level 3 beds have all been awful. I will likely cancel and start going to Planet Tan which does suck because I pass pbt to get to pt! read more

This location is clean with good beds. The pricing is a bit high (I paid less for a monthly membership in NYC!), but their bed quality is equal for the diamond level. You technically only need to go 1-2 times a week if you tan easily and want a little more color. The 1 less star is for the original associate not pulling out the sales sheet to explain the levels. I assumed I was getting the highest bed level, but got the middle package. Found out the next week when I asked questions to someone else. Was at another location and sent into confusion on not tanning the color like I'm used to in NYC and that my purchased tanning product was actually an after care lotion. Went back to this location in N Frisco and was explained that it is, in fact, a before application tanner, not an after care lotion. This N Frisco location knows their products best and the associate manager, Natalie, is pleasant to work with. She hears your concern or question, evaluate the options quickly with her experience, and give a respected opinion of choices/options. I've never had an issue coming here, the girls at the front are super sweet it's super quick and it's month to month so you can cancel whoever you want. Every week I'm there everyone else always looks pleased I only give it 4 stars instead of 5 because the tanning beds aren't as good as the ones I'm used to in Australia read more

I have been tanning here on and off for two years. The staff is really nice, it's clean, and the prices and deals are very good. Purchased one month Diamond. Got severely burnt on the 2nd session. It was supposed to be the same setting as the 1st session (6 minutes at level 3) but found out to be 1 minute longer. Requested a full refund but not only it needs to get approved by the corporate (takes few days) they still want me to pay for 2 individual sessions at $30 each totaling $60. Do not recommend. read more

Watch out for hidden fees. Especially if you need to suspend for a period of time. God forbid if you want to switch from spray to bed you get hit with new start up fees. If you have a credit it's not good towards fees but only towards over priced lotions. Deceptive sales people trying to fake their numbers to their boss. read more

I absolutely love this location. Won't go anywhere else. I joined several months ago when Brittany was the store manager. Loved her! She walked me through the entire place and explained all the beds to me. I signed up for a 'gold' membership and was very happy. One day I went in an found out that Brittany had gone to one of their other locations. There was now a manager there named Chrissy. I was skeptical at first. Not because of her, just because I hate change. Well, it wasn't long before Chrissy won me over and I absolutely adore her!!!! She is helpful, super nice, and knows how to treat her customers. She makes me feel special every time I walk in. She knows me by name and that is a really nice personal touch! The beds are always clean and maybe I just go at the right times, but I've literally never had to wait longer than it might take to clean a bed. That's good cuz I'm an impatient person. Oh, and Amanda is great too I don't get to see her there as much but when I do she is super friendly and very knowledgeable. They are an excellent team. I upgraded to the highest level beds for the rest of the year because they offered a killer price. PBT runs awesome sales so always be sure to pay attention to those. this isn't a review for the staff as much as it is for pbt as a company. i am beyond pissed, completely bewildered as to how i, a customer with a platinum membership to specifically be able to versa and have my formula perfected to a t, a customer of what 10 plus years now, suddenly go to the salon to spray and you guys completely did away with the versa to only replace it with a serious pos joke?! not to mention without any notice, your staff didn't know how to even use the effing machine bc they didn't even know it was switching to your pos invention of worthless defective bs spray. then you are telling me now i have to pay every time i want to spray to remotely achieve the color i am used to getting?!?!! i spray 2-4x a week are you f*cking kidding me?! you want me to pay you more money on top of the $115 already a month?!?! and no notice no information?!?! i probably wouldn't be slightly less upset if your pos machine was a fraction as good as the versa!!!! your version is a painfully dumb and bold fail. sure you have a few locations left temporarily with a versa but i live too far from those locations. this is disgusting and absolute bs zero business/customer service. you have zero shame in how you operate. again, this is not aimed for the staff, but for palm beach tan as a whole. i'm not just leaving this review here but i am looking into options and avenues as to how i can make this right for myself and hopefully others as pbt has no desire to other than i'm sure to just send a generic auto message of "we apologize for your recent experience, please email blah blah". fix it. you make stupid amounts and are one of the largest chain tanning salons. you can, should, and hopefully will. read more

This location really needs to get their communication and service together. I bought one of their packages that a girl sold me on in August right before my wedding for $90. It was a 3 for $90. I used one in August, one in October and then came in today, December 30th, to use my 3rd. Turns out, the girl failed to let me know that they expire and I had to buy a whole session for $40 because my last one expired. He did credit my account for another because of the miscommunication, which I appreciate, but I really didn't want to have to spend another $40 after paying $90 and only getting 2. If people buy the packages for spray tans, they should be told that they have 45 days to use all 3. The guy working said you can ask for extended time, which I would've known had they told me up front. While I was here, everything just seemed chaotic and a little unprofessional. The tanning is decent but when starting up a membership they push you and constantly try to up charge you for everything. When trying to cancel my account because of awful service they charged me sixty dollars for the next month, and then after canceled and have paid the amount I received an email saying that I owed another hundred and five dollars and that they actually did not cancel my membership. When trying to get ahold of management it took me two days after calling multiple times, just to have them tell me there was nothing they could do and that they will still charge me and that there was nothing they could do about it.
