I clarified this before I purchased a membership. On 3 different occasions in the last 8 weeks, I was left in the room without the machine working with NO assistance and no way to communicate. I will not pay for a membership I can only use when convenient for the staff. I made a complaint each time it happened. I think 3 times is enough for me. I canceled the membership. I do not recommend SOL CO to anyone.

If you use multiple machines during your visit you have to keep going to the front to let them know your ready and every time you go to the front you have to wait in line while they try to sell products or check people in. They have a red light therapy sign on one of the rooms and it's definitely not a red light therapy bed and of course the employees don't know any better. The steam pod smells like urine. One of the primary reasons I signed up was due to the advertised "open sun" tanning beds. However, this location only had one of these beds for a short period before it was removed entirely. This was a key factor in my decision to join, so it was disappointing to see it no longer available. Wait times have also been a consistent issue. Regardless of the time of day; morning, afternoon, evening, weekday, or weekend: I almost always experience the same delays. This does not seem incidental, but rather a result of how operations are structured. 20-30 min wait for a tanning bed, and 15-20 mins wait for a sauna room consistently, week after week is crazy. I've been able to write this entire review while in their waiting Lobby, waiting for my bed to be ready, because even the saunas weren't available. The waitlist process appears to contribute heavily to these delays. For example, when a client uses a wellness sauna session and then plans to tan, they are placed "in line" for a tanning bed while still in the sauna. This effectively reserves the next available bed, even though the customer is not ready to use it yet. From a customer standpoint, it would be more efficient to prioritize guests who are ready to tan immediately. Additionally, the variety and quantity of beds seem to limit efficiency. Having only one of each bed type makes it difficult to manage high-traffic periods smoothly. The overall quality and maintenance of the equipment is also a concern. Beds do not feel as hot compared to other salons, Bluetooth features are entirely nonfunctional, and mister canisters are often empty or not working. I also have not observed bulb replacements during my visits, which raises questions about maintenance frequency compared to other salons. I've had great experiences at the Lemmon Avenue location in Dallas. Rarely any wait times, and good they have good tanning beds. That said, I want to highlight that customer service at all locations has consistently been excellent. Overall, while the staff experience is strong, the operational flow and equipment management at the McKinney location would benefit from improvement to better align with customer expectations. Unfortunately, I will be looking into Palm beach tan again :/

This gym has a layout similar to the one in Allen, with two floors; weights on the first floor, and cardio/group fitness classes on the second. The front desk staff were super chill and friendly when we came in with our buddy pass. They didn't try to complicate things or push memberships on our friends. The weights are spread out across different sections rather than just one row like at other locations. Two of the wipe stations were out on a Sunday, which isn't great, especially since that's not even a particularly busy day. Overall, it's still a great location and closer to our friends, just in case we decide to do group workouts.
