I joined Body Heat Tanning and purchased an unlimited membership one month before Palm Beach Tan took over. Unfortunately, my experience has been disappointing ever since the transition. The membership I signed up for was not honored in the way it was originally presented. I specifically chose an unlimited membership because it included access to all equipment and wellness services as often as I wanted. After the takeover, I was told I could no longer access many of the wellness services that would have been included under my Body Heat membership, which was one of the main reasons I joined in the first place. To make matters worse, staff members seemed unclear about how memberships were being transferred and were unable to provide consistent answers to basic questions about benefits, access, or policies. Communication throughout the transition was poor, leaving customers confused and frustrated. Additionally, locations have closed and operating hours have changed, which significantly reduced the convenience and accessibility I originally signed up for. Overall, the service, membership value, and customer experience have all declined since Palm Beach Tan took over. I understand acquisitions can be complicated, but customers should not lose benefits they were promised when they signed up. Very disappointing experience. read more

I was disappointed by my experience. From my perspective, it looked like employees weren't being credited properly for their work. I went in to purchase a membership, and the staff were extremely busy the entire time. The sales member behind the counter was very professional and polite, but the moment I mentioned buying something, the manager stepped in and insisted on handling the sale. I know they make commission on sales because I was informed by the staff and It left me feeling uncomfortable and concerned about how staff are treated. If this happened once how many times has this manager taken other employees commission.I will not be coming back until the manager Evelyn is gone. read more

THEY DONT READ YOUR CARD NUMBER TO YOU TO CANCEL... THIS IS A SCAM TO LOCK YOU IN A CONTRACT. I have used this palm beach tan for years! Recently moved out of state and forgot to cancel my monthly membership of 100 dollars. When I called in.. They gave me corporates number, which is an automatic voicemail. Have not heard back it's been 3 weeks. I have also emailed and not heard back. I guess they have no way to cancel my membership, so just know you are locked in with no way out of a TANNING MEMBERSHIP lol so silly. I don't want this on my credit, so I had to hire an attorney to get out of this membership or shut down my bank account. I am researching other law suits they have now, I'm sure I can't be the only one trying to cancel a membership with no luck. read more

I've been a long-time customer and have always appreciated this service. I was surprised during my recent visit when I arrived about 15 minutes before closing, and the staff member told me I couldn't tan because the system logs out 30 minutes prior to closing. I wasn't aware of this policy, and it hasn't been an issue in the past--even when I've come in at similar times. If this is a new policy, I understand, but it would be helpful if it were clearly posted or communicated to customers. The store hours still say you close at 10 PM, which is why I expected to be able to tan up until then. I hope you can clarify the policy moving forward. I'd love to keep supporting your business but want to avoid future confusion. Basically if you're expecting this place to close at 10, that's not true & miss leading. Sprays stop at 9:30. (Again, even tho that's NEVER been an issue in the past years I've been going). I swear people will find any reason to complain.. These 1 star reviews are incorrect! This place is great & staff is very nice & professional. I got the Catalina spray tan (dark) with the Versa machine. I've had it 4 days now and I love it! I've gone to competitors before and not only is this place cheaper, but the product isn't sticky and doesn't smell bad. It also lasts a long time, including my face (typically that's the first to go.) For a machine.. this is a very even, long lasting, affordable tan. Rooms were clean & well stocked. Spending over $120 to tan is already insane but I do it because I feel palm beach is the top tanning company around. Tonight I was so disappointed, after purchasing additionals to enhance my spray tan I was waiting in the lobby when I heard screaming and cursing coming from the manager in another room. As the other employee rushes around cleaning beds and checking clients in. When it's my turn to spray the employee notifies me there are no hand wipes. Very inconvenient but I let it go since I pre paid and had an event the next morning.. after my spray tan I went to wash my hands and there was also no hand soap. Spray booth was filthy, every trash can was over flowing, laundry baskets full of towels. And only 1 out of 2 employees actually working. When I brought this up to the manager afterwards she explained to me "it's busy season" lol I do everything I can to avoid this location. read more

Compete sham. 1) No pricing anywhere in the store - have to depend on staff to verbally explain instead being transparent and visual. 2) Company policies are Eurocentric. Let me explain: When I came to the store I was informed I wouldn't be able to tan the full time because I'm a new customer. Ok cool! If that's the case company should provide first visit at a discounted cost since you are paying for a full session and only receiving half. I was then told after 24hrs I could return and tan again. Nothing was mentioned about time being incrementally provided. Or other store policies about if you haven't been to the salon your time would be once again deducted. So upon my second visit I received 2 ENTIRE whole minutes, making my allotted tan time 7mins. I was tanning to go on vacation, I received a total of 7mins of tanning bed w Palm Beach Sham. I came back from vacation and they proceeded to inform me that I would have to go back down to half time again. Which as state above was never mentioned when I bought a package of tans with them. Mind you I was on a tropical vacation, I'm asian/islander and I went tanning at another salon while I was away. I expressed how company policies are very Eurocentric and do not account for people who don't burn easily or at all and are catered to fair skinned people. If company policies stay the same way it is currently, Fine but they should be charging for time/mins in bed being used and not sessions - where you are being sold a total amount of time and then being told you are not allowed to use the time you paid for. I asked for a refund and of course the manager on duty couldn't help me. It's Sunday so I tried calling corporate and the regional manager but have yet to speak to anyone yet. I don't normal write crap reviews but I genuinely feel this company is taking advantage of the consumers. Although, this might not be the intention but if that's not the intention they should do away w selling sessions that cost up to $50 a session(the one I purchased) and switch to selling by time. Me and my Fiancé joined up in May 2024 to get a jump start on our Summer Tans for Vacation. We were explained that we would have to pay for the first full month and our second month would be prorated which is fine. We were told that the 2nd month would be $39/each but we were charged $43.16/each, apparently there is Sales Tax applied. There is no pricing listed anywhere and we have been given a different answer each time we visit. This company is not transparent with their pricing and which tiers cover which beds. We have visited (2) different locations (Boca Park and Shadow Mtn Marketplace) and the beds are completely different at each location. The first time we visited SMM location, they tried to up sell us for an additional fee of $50/each to be able to use the majority of their beds. They would not allow us to use the maximum time on any of their beds due to new bulbs, etc. It took at least 5 visits before they would allow us to use the maximum time. We should have more of a Tan at this point but we are seeing very little results, especially for beds that have new bulbs, etc. They also offer a free week of tanning or (1) Spray tan to new members and when I called the SMM location to find out why this was not mentioned to us, the representative stated that they do not have to mention this to us unless we happen to stumble across it on line. What a horrible way to do business!! Needless to say, we are canceling our membership and we will find another Salon for tanning. read more

Honestly I really enjoyed coming here when I lived in Vegas. Was told specifically by the person who signed me up that I did not have to cancel my membership in person. Went for a few weeks before moving, talked about moving with some of the girls and was never told I had to cancel my membership in person. Moved to GA and now 1. They can't transfer my membership (wasted $150) and 2. I have to cancel in person and no one is authorized to cancel my membership at the store. Wanted to leave a review for buyer beware. read more

I used to tan at the palm beach off of eastern and LOVED it there, staff and everything was great. Started coming to this location and noticed (not all) but most of their staff are just a*sholes. Talked to the girls at the eastern location and they all said the same thing about the staff, that's an ISSUE. the worst customer service i've experienced in a while, honestly sad. i would avoid this location at all costs. they will also throw away your personal items. read more

The girls inside this location are very knowledgeable and explain everything so you can achieve your tanning goals. I have been with another well-known tanning salon company for about 20 years and decided to try Palm Beach and let me tell you I was not disappointed. In one week I was able to develop the same color. It would've taken me in a month to get over there not only that the beds at Palm Beach tanning are much nicer and newer. It's very clean and they supply towels and googles. Since Covid the other tanning salon has not provided towels even though there's not as many locations I make it work because I am getting a better tan. I definitely recommend this place. read more

Please be sure to get everything in writing. I was lied to by the girls in the office about their money back guarantee. After they ran my method of payment I was told that since I was a new member I was only able to tan for half of what the maximum time was allowed, then half of the next max time. Also their 24 hour policy. After being unhappy with this I reached out to cancel my membership. After not receiving my multiple calls back I decided to reach out to corporate. They then proceeded to tell me that they do not offer 100% refund like the girls in the office stated. They wanted to charge me 40-50 bucks for the one session that I was only able to tan 50% of the time. Please train your staff properly. I decided to do an update because afterall, I DO come here quite often. So often that it doesn't match my previous 3 star rating. So I decided to bump it up to 4 stars because really....this location is clean and there's tanning beds/booths available most of the time. I've gone mid afternoon to even late evenings and I've never had to wait. Each room is always cleaned. The floors are never dusty, no hairs from previous guests, no lotion stains and everything seemed to be wiped down after every guest. Their monthly tanning packages are one of the better ones here around the city. As of March 2015, they are running a special with only $5 start-up fee. Normally it's like $20. Most of the time, they will run some special promo to waive the start up fee for you. They have a new basic package; level 1 tanning bed ONLY for only $20 a month. Not bad when you just need your basic to get you some color. My level 2 package (gold level) is currently running at about $40-47...give or take with tax included. Oh! And this location have Versa Spa spray tanning booth. Haven't tried it yet so I can't comment if the machine is glitch or how well it's functioning. But generally, I like Versa Spa. Nice staff but days after reopening after virus pandemic shutdown... they were met with strict Nevada health dept protocols! So imagine my surprise when all 3 staff weren't wearing masks...one manager, one assistant and one staff member who respectfully put her mask on 1 second after seeing me. They are cleaning the salon and beds without masks which negates the whole cleaning process. I blame upper management and store management. It wouldn't be so bad if it weren't a DEADLY pandemic! Clients aren't required although I do out of respect for my community and they do contactless checkin and social distancing. I went in to tan, the bed had no face light working or mist in was just air, i end up spraying .. everything can break down so i had no issues. Days later i go in on 7-18-2024 manager put me in to tan i asked her did they fix the bed , she was having attitude towards me she said they checked the bed and there is no issues is you who have issues and i didnt say nothing i went in to the bed and the bed had no mist spraying and face light wasnt working so i end up getting out and i was very upset that she put me in bed knowing is not fixed, i was in rush and dhe was very very rude she was acting like she arguing with cheating boyfriend. I asked for manager she said very sarcastic I'm the manager. Im very happy with that place i love the beds , i dont like how i was treated and she told me im sick of u coming in and always having problems which that was 2nd time i seen her in my whole life. The 1st time i seen her when i was coming in the other girl run away i asked her why r u running away and she said im training her a d i didn't know who was coming in.. arent you going ti greet the costumer who ever comes in? Honestly, I was unsure about the pros and cons of tanning beds. I know they can be very dangerous and I always took that into consideration. However, I've been diligently researching this matter and found so many pros that outweigh the cons. Adam is such a beautiful man both in and out. He represents PBT very well! I hope the owners see this review. I have been going here about 2 weeks (so far) and have benefited tremendously from tanning. It certainly isn't in vain; I feel much happier and healthier. My skin is clear. The tan is just a bonus I purchased the "organic" Swedish Beauty bath wash and lotion, tattoo stick, and chapstick. Adam hooked me up, thank you! Besides the products, I payed for 3 months (Diamond) and received a FREE month. After moving from Southern California, my tan was in jeopardy. Desert sun is so different from back home and I didn't enjoy sun bathing in the scorching Vegas heat. I was spray tanning for a year @ Bronzed. I never used a tanning bed before this. Hello. I've been a member in California for several years. I am visiting Las Vegas and decided to get a quick tan. Myself and 2 other friends came to this location. The attendant at the front desk named Bee was EXTREMELY RUDE!!! She let us know that for some reason our memberships did not transfer from state to state, and instead of apologizing and showing some care...she just said it's gonna be $17 per person. Not even a, "I apologize for the inconvenience or unfortunately your specific membership doesn't transfer". For a customer service based business, she lacks any skills required to perform the basic functions of her job description. This was completely unacceptable considering every other location I've ever been to has exceptional service. She needs to be fired. read more

I love this tanning salon. It's clean, they offer good sales on lotions, and everyone is always friendly. I always do a level 2 stand up and I've never had to wait. I've tried a few different salons over the years and this one is my favorite. I've never tried their spray tans before so I have no opinions regarding that. read more

Have been a customer for awhile now after switching from another tanning salon. The beds at this location are newer and they let you know when bulbs have been changed so that you are skin mindful. When I signed up they sold me tanning lotion but the only reason I didn't give them the 5th star was because they try to sell you product even if you are standing there to check in with that product they are trying to sell in hand. Definitely nice salon and always clean beds but the membership is ridiculous. They try to make you come all the way to the store to "sign" a paper to try to lock you into the membership. I've been a customer of Palm Beach off and on for years. I purchased a spray tan package right before the pandemic hit and assumed it would be honored once they annouced their reopening. I had not received an email or call from Palm Beach announcing their reopening (as I did with literally every other company that I am a customer at.) Today while at the gym my girlfriend told me she was going to go spray and I was shocked to hear they had reopened. So I called to make sure they were honoring my package. The girl on the phone informed me that corporate had "extended my package until June 25th, sorry" did not try and make it right only added that "well we've been open since May 29th". Ok well when the world is in shambles and I am quarantined at home jobless checking to see if Palm Beach was open wasn't at the top of my priority list. So I miss out on my package by a week? Horrible customer service. I will never go here AGAIN. Please take your business somewhere else. I'll make sure my friend stop going there as well. Palm Beach Tan is a very clean tanning establishment in a convenient location. The beds are always clean, the staff are always helpful, and it never seems to be too busy. The prices are great. I use this facility to keep my tan up in winter, and also to boost it during summer. If I could list one fault with this place, it would be that the staff CONSTANTLY try to sell you things. Every single time I go in there, without question, they will try and sell me lotion, after care lotions or try and get me on the next level package. This can become frustrating when you are wanting to just quickly pop in, get your tan on, and pop out. read more

I have been going here for a few months...Im giving it 5 stars for customer service for the few who have been so kind...however I wish some of the girls would smile more, it makes me feel uncomfortable when i walk into a place that takes so much of my money and the employees don't look like they enjoy their job. They work really hard to clean the beds constantly i give them 5 stars for cleanliness i have yet to see any major results on my tan but Im hopeful. There are some really sweet people who work there but like i said i wish some of the others would be more welcoming. It kind of ruins it for the few there who work so hard and are so helpful patient and kind. I wish the almost 200 dollar lotion would give me more results...i will re rate later on based on what this lotion does for me....i am going to be positive I like how they offer nose filters for the spray tans....however the bottle of barrier cream pump never works and ive asked them to replace it 3 times because thats kinda gross to think of 40 other ppl dipping their fingers in and out of the same lotion....either way its gross and not sanitary at all...Im not a stickler or OCD clean but I own a hair salon and its so important not to spread skin infections and other things around through mishaps like that....so i just hope in the future they could be more attentive its so important to keep facilities clean... But I want to say theres this yong brunette girl with long hair always wearing a blue shirt running around cleaning and working hard and it seems like she does her job well. I want her to know i appreciate all the hard work. And the assistant manager who is the only male employee has always been so kind and smiles, its nice to walk in there and be greeted warmly and so genuinely. A lot of people should do the same. There are a few other girls im not sure their names but have been very helpful....so im going to give it the top rating for now....i just hope that the customer service gets a tad stronger im a stickler for that read more

I know it's Vegas...and we don't need any fake tanning, but the thing is that I don't like lines and this is not Europe...
