While I refuse to ever step foot in the Southern Highlands location again due to the bad attitude, (sorry) but complete resting b!tch face, too busy to explain anything, acted as if I was bothering her when I was there to give business..... I received this from Alicia, but when you leave Alicia is a completely different person. You know, everyday shouldn't be a bad day! Be happy or get out of the customer service industry! I can tell you that Landry and Karina have made me want to stay! I travel from Southern Highlands to this location because of your friendly staff and the knowledge! If it wasn't for Landry I probably never would have used lotions before. She took the time to fully explain how each and everyone worked based on my tanning goals, she also gave me a tour of the store, showing me each bed and when I finally chose, she explained in full detail how to work it. Tanning has definitely come a long way and these beds sure are pretty different from the 90's! Also, I have to add that this is the absolute cleanest location I have EVER visited! I wish that all of your stores were employed by such amazing young ladies that are full of personality, knowledge and know what true customer service means. If you had more people like the two of them, I guarantee all of your stores would be super busy! Thanks for such a great experience and a huge thanks to Landry & Karina for all that they have done to help me with my tanning goals! Way to go Body Heat Durango Girls!! Had an odd experience here as a first time visitor. I just wanted a quick spray tan before heading to California for the weekend. When I walked in another customer was complaining that the beds wouldn't turn on, that process had me wait for a while. The front desk girl was kind but the process couldn't have been any slower. She was using terminology that didn't make sense to me such as "you would be best having a Malibu tan setting". There's no charts or examples of the levels so I just bad to trust what she was saying. They need name, DOB, address, etc which I don't think is necessary if I'm just doing a quick spray tan, I don't know why they need all my demographics. I had a Groupon and for some reason the computer wanted to charge me five more dollars and the cashier didn't know why, but still asked if I wanted to pay the five extra dollars even though I already paid previously online, that was a little odd. I declined paying more than my Groupon purchase. When i finally walked to the very back where the spray tan machine is, I got fully ready for my spray tan in the machine wouldn't turn on. I had to wipe all the lotion off, get dressed, go out. Find the girl and have her figure out why the machine wasn't turning on. She figured it out in the computer system and it finally worked. When I got out, I noticed the bottom of my feet were extremely dark. It seems like they don't clean the very bottom of the machine so there's already spray tan sitting there so when you're standing there, your skin just soaks up all the color and stains it dark. That was a little disappointing. The tan didn't last more than two days. Not sure if I would return. read more

Save yourself some time and go elsewhere. It was free tan weekend...no obligations. You can get a bed tan or spray tan absolutely free. I've been a member of Palm Beach Tan on & off for a few years so I thought let me see what Bodyheat is all about. What better way to check them out than during free tan weekend. Now I've spray tan multiple times before....in fact, I've used Versa Spa and Versa Spa Pro machines many times. I opted for clear dark in the Pro machine. I didn't shower for the rest of the day so the color can develop at its maximum. So tell me why the next day, one side of my body is completely pale while the other side is tan??!!! These idiots have no clue how to maintain the spray tan machine. One of the nozzles was probably clogged. See photo attached. At least it was free but what a bunch of crooks. They might even mess up the nozzle on purpose since it was free tan weekend. Like I said, do yourself a favor and spray elsewhere. You wouldn't wanna risk getting a spray tan here for a special event only to come out two different colors. I will continue to keep my membership at Palm Beach Tan. read more

I've been going to body heat for years, in particular the southwest location. I buy the VIP all access plan and I love that I can choose different beds when I start to platue. Their is one employee in particular that is knowledgeable hospitable and so upbeat. She's always smiling and eager to suggest how to maximize my tan. Came and did bed level 4 cause the lady said I won't get burn but if I do level 1 then I'll just burn. I ended up burning anyway, paid 27$ and got charged for tax which is wired cause there's no tax on services and had to pay another 6.5$ for googles. When I got home I only notice at night that only front of my body got affected and not the back of my body. read more

She is so helpful every time I go in and she is very infornative when it comes to the beds and which ones are good for what. She also had the information down when it came to getting tanning lotions. I've been a customer with Bodyheat tanning for the Better part of a decade. For the past 8 years I've been month to month because I'm a part time resident and only in Vegas 6 months at a shot. When I signed up again this past winter, the girl behind the counter pur me on a 10 month contract without my consent. I was told to sign an electronic signature pad to restart my tanning membership. I have been a customer for years and this was normal procedure and I didn't think twice about it. I would never sign a 10 month contract because I'm not here for 10 months straight. The young, incompetent employee took advantage of and lied to me. Corporate refuses to help correct the situation and says I owe them $200.00 to cancel my membership. This is a fraudulent contract and I am being victimized by this company. Whoever is running this circus obviously doesn't believe all the complaints from their customers are true. I've read countless complaints stating this same criminal activity has happened to them... and time and again they stick up for their employees and victimize their customers. This is no way to run a company and I am in disgust that they would rather lose a long time customer over $200.00 than correct the problem. Seems to me that these people need to take business classes ASAP. I have filed a complaint with the BBB, I will reach out to the local news and Nevada consumer affairs next if they don't correct the problem. I urge anyone who has been wronged by this company to speak out. File a complaint with the BBB, call the news station and Nevada consumer affairs. I know this place has a bad reputation and is considered one of the worst tanning spots in LV, but it always seems to get worse every incident I have. I have to be somewhere (at 10), was here at 9 when they open, and no one is here. It's now 9:12.... crickets. This place can collect monthly dues with no problem, yet they can't seem to be professional enough to have their staff arrive on time. It's a 9 o'clock shift which I don't think is hard to make on time. However, this is what happens when you hire teenagers to run your company. The brand is already bad enough, it doesn't help that you can't even be reliable to open the business at the displayed hours. With that being said, If you are considering getting a membership here, save your time and money. I would try Rio Tan, Tan Republic or even Palm beach tan. Yes, you may pay a little more, but let's be honest... we are always willing to pay a little more for honest services. I need to upgrade today, since I waited 17 min (and still counting), let's see if they will take care of it! Or let's just hope someone shows up soon. Is that asking for too much? read more

I would not recommend this business to anyone. It is a money making scam. We put our account on hold in December of 2021 and they said they would be charging $5 each month to freeze it. However, in February, they took it off of a hold situation and cancelled our account. When we went back in April they charged us close to $70 for the month and said we had to pay a sign-up fee. We called and were told that our monthly fee would be $28 for both my husband and I. We were supposed to be credited that out of the larger amount they took out of our credit card, but we have not seen that credit on our card. On May 15 we were charged another $86.00, which they say is an annual membership fee. They refused to refund the $86.00 and said they would credit $28 each month for two months. When asked what happened to the credits from April they said it was in our account. WHERE!!! So far, in the last two months they have taken a huge amount of money from our credit card and refuse to discuss or refund any of it. We were never given a receipt for the money they took from our account and only discovered it when checking the credit card statements. This is a money scam. I told them to cancel our account and would not advise anyone to go there. read more

I've been a member for years and am constantly disappointed with the lack of upkeep on their beds. We pay a significant amount of money each month for beds that have lights out, fans don't work, control panels are falling off, buttons are broken or missing. It's truthfully quite embarrassing and shows that this company truly has little to no appreciation for its member and the lack of investment into their own salons is concerning. read more

Perfect for those GTL days. The prices have gone way up. Thanks to the Obama tanning tax I'm sure, but this tanning salon is clean and staff is friendly and helpful. Staff are just regular people, no need to feel like a b celebrity here. Beds have good bulbs. I only had to wait for a bed once in all the years I've been going here. Today I had the pleasure of meeting Karina. She was very knowledgable on product and even gave me advice on the beds that would give me the best tan. Bodyheat tanning has terrible customer service at the corporate level. The girls at the front desk are nice enough, however they are not able to help with anything more than programming to bed. I have been a Bodyheat customer for over 10 years. They have my expired card on file, and have for six months. I have repeatedly given them my new card every time I go in, I'm charged a late fee, and they then renew my service. They have never updated my card. Today I went in without my purse, and they would not let me tan, even after I offered to pay in cash for the tan. I called corporate, she looked at my account, gave no apology, said she would remove this months late fee, but that was it. After being such a long-term customer, I was expecting at least a credit for the late fees I was charged, or a complementary tan, something. Really anything showing the slightest concern for the inconvenience not to mention the way they have been charging me extra for months!!! The only reason I don't cancel my membership after today is the location! I wish there were ANY OTHER TANNING SALON near my house. read more

I've tanned on and off for most of my adult life, so I consider myself an expert on tanning salons. This salon isn't the cheapest but it's not the most expensive either. For me this location is convenient (close to home and only a few doors down from Vons grocery store). They have several different monthly plans available based off the type of tanning you like to do. I recently signed up for a spray tan membership, although they don't like the term membership. They have month to month options but I elected for the 10 month commitment, as it's cheaper and doesn't require the $25 start up fee that the month to month plans require. My membership includes unlimited spray tans (must be 24 hrs. Apart) each month for $59.99. They also have half price upgrades on Sundays should I ever decide I want to do a typical tanning bed. Their software makes checking in a breeze (finger print scan). Their hours are convenient and my membership allows me access to all of their locations, some of which are open 24 hours. The staff are nice and seem to know many of their members by name. As for the spray tan, it's normally $35 for one session, so my monthly membership is a real bargain comparatively. They provide the lotion for your hands and feet as well as a shower cap to cover your hair. There are 4 positions they teach you, and as long as you follow all directions you'll walk out with a healthy glow after just one visit. It doesn't last as long as some other spray tans that I've had, but with the unlimited membership it makes it easy to go every 3-4 days and keeps me looking pretty dark. They have 3 color options, the darkest is an $8 upgrade (even with the monthly membership) but is half off that on Sundays. I have yet to try that level because I find the medium color is dark enough for most occasions. If you're looking to tan regularly I'd say Bodyheat is a reasonable option, particularly if you want convenience and are also looking to go tanning regularly. +1 for spray tans! read more

This company is a joke. Absolute garbage. It will be quite easy to find a better tanning salon, the bar is very low. I strongly recommend you love yourself by refusing any engagement with this company, whatsoever. Their failing business is becoming desperate and they will straight up steal your money. Life is already difficult for many people recently, but companies like Body Heat Tanning make it worse. Dirty beds, lack of cleaning, predatory contracts, archaic cancellation policy, charging my card for purchases I did not make, and 0-star customer service are just a few points as to why this company does NOT deserve a penny of our hard-earned money. I had a billing incident that took nearly ~3 months~ to resolve. I cannot prove it for the courts, but I am positive they forged my signature to create a high-level membership that I never, ever would've agreed to. It was a $105/month membership for someone who lives in sunny Las Vegas and has tanned less than 5 times over 6 months. Makes zero sense. When reaching out to their corporate office with an understanding and amicable attitude in hopes of resolving what I expected was an honest mistake, they utterly failed. Their handling of the situation and reading other reviews has shown me their actions are intentional and they mean to steal money from wherever they can. It would've been 3 phone calls, 5 emails, and a visit to local store before anyone decided to help. Even then, nobody in local store would care the tiniest bit to look into this. Not only did CORPORATE fail to answer phone calls and emails, but I was redirected back and forth between two of the same employees before one actually decided to help. I use the word 'help' very loosely, as they did nothing at all to resolve the issue. Finally, after the unnecessary back and forth with their corporate office, they still refused to cancel my membership and went back to ignoring communications altogether, all while they are stealing money every month. In the end, I had to call my bank for a resolution. I had to file a claim for fraud and had to request "Stop Payment" to Body Heat Tanning entirely. They truly have no shame. Companies like this do not deserve success. read more

Unfortunately most of the staff at a lot locations are extremely rude and seem bored half of the time. Or annoyed to be working there. Most staff member are not very knowledgable about the output/voltage, skin care incredients in the lotions they are selling etc. This location in particulary has really rude staff so far. I have not experienced someone friendly there yet. Too bad though, at the sahara location there are 2 members working who are very friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately I will cancel my membership. I dont like being treated like an annoyance when I spend $80 a month. :( read more

No brochures or pamphlets on pricing and her appearance implied she didn't care about herself OR her job. The owner of this location should pay a little more attention.
