Well if zero was an option I would choose it. I unfroze my membership today because of a $25 gift card promotion. The kid sales associate said she would look into while I was tanning. I came out and the other associate told me that it could only be used on lotions/products. Funny because that's not what the fine print said but I expected this since they're always trying to sell me something. I'm tired of this company trying to manipulate and condescend customers. If this is not fixed and fixed the right way I'm cancelling my membership. read more

If there was a way I would give this location a -0. If you enjoy high pressure sales tactics for over priced tanning lotions and upgrades, then this is your place. I have been going here for two years and it has been a constant sales pitch. I finally got tired of listening and being pressured into buying upgrades and lotions so I started saying no. I was already spending $70 a month for their Platinum package. Apparently they don't like people to tell them no, so then they began denying me the use of beds included with my package. Telling me I can only get a different bed if I pay for an upgrade when I was willing to wait for one to open. Save your money and go elsewhere! read more

ZERO STARS!!! THIS COMPANY TAKES ADVANTAGE OF ITS CUSTOMERS AND ITS VERY CLEAR. Palm beach tan is the worst tanning company I have EVER been to. Let me just start off by saying look at indeed and the previous employees reviews for the company. It will make you not want sign up. They ALL say the same thing by many different past employees. They treat their employees bad so don't let them make commission off of you, go to Amazon. Second I personally do not care for this whole company (not just this location, I have literally experienced it at 3 different locations as well) because you go there and all is well they're all so nice and then BAM "omg you should totally buy this, with this deal it's a steal" then you say "not today" but show a little bit of interest by listening to them in the first place and they keep pushing you over and over again where you have to say no again and now they have attitudes that they didn't make a sale. When ever I'm there they are only nice to sell to me. I went and wanted to buy a lotion and she's really nice but she trying to get me to buy more expensive ones (which also bugs me) and I went with the cheaper one and then you're still talking or whatever and she cuts you off to say "we'll talk later" making you feel so used and the only reason she was conversating in the first place was to sell and once she did, by by. Not at one but three locations all they want to do is sell and cop attitudes when they don't succeed, I would have to assume they're all like this. I would advise to stay away, if you can choose another salon DO IT. If you have to go here BUY LOTIONS OFF AMAZON!!!!!!! Not only are they CHEAPER OFF AMAZON BUT YOU DONT HAVE TO DEAL WITH FAKE PEOPLE LOOKIN TO MAKE A SALE. Do not let them use you. if you go in do not be nice and entertain their annoying spiel, give them a good hard NO every time and be firm or they will push until they're blue in the face. If for some reason you have to buy a lotion from them because you're desperate make sure you triple check it's the cheapest one (if you're on a budget) because she will start with the most expensive one then she'll go down a dollar then she'll go down another dollar and another dollar. She will try to trick you by saying "this is the best one with skin care for the cheapest price." And then you'll have to say what about no skin care and then finally she'll show you the most cheap one they have in house (which will work just as well, if you're worried about your skin you shouldn't be tanning.) and have an attitude the rest of the time that you didnt buy her other "cheaper ones". honestly not even sure if I believe I bought the cheapest one or if I just settled because I was sick of having her show me ones over and over and over. To finish, I'll just say these people are NOT genuine what so ever. This is in fact, not only the worst tanning company, but also the worst company that I have been to, period. The majority are just professional at being fake as hell. Congrats you succeeded in life by making $9 per hour treating your employees terribly and also being so fake it's noticeable. read more

I think this is my 5th year going to PBT in Medina. The place is clean and all of the girls have always been nice to me. They do try to sell their products but they have never been pushy and they always have promotions so the many times I have bought tanning lotions from them, I never paid full price. They have many bed options to choose from and they have different packages that works best for each person. They also have spray tans which are great if you choose not to use a bed but I do both for a beautiful summer glow. I would definitely recommend this tanning salon and location for anybody that loves a great tan! read more

Staff is friendly, clean equipment. However, my membership never got appropriately cancelled so I paid for 7 months of tanning that was never used. I was only able to get 3 months out of the 7 months paid for desputed, which leaves me with 4 months of a membership that I had to pay for. After speaking with staff and manager I was promised once I re-sign up for a new membership and keeping that one active I could get 4 months of free upgrades for the inconvenience. Now I'm being told since I had desputed 3 months of my money I can no longer get my upgrades. So thank you for f****** me out of $186.60. Hopefully you see this and can properly adjust. i am from out of town and came to this location to tan while i was visiting family. the man who helped me was so rude and snarky it really made me uncomfortable!! i didn't know that i had to let them know i was from a different city and he said "well the first thing you should've said to me when you came up here was where you are from. now i have to search a completely different database" and rolled his eyes and didn't continue anymore conversation. sorry i didn't know that.... every interaction after that was passive aggressive and rude. the tanning experience itself was great, customer service just came across very hostile.. read more

The front desk here is super accommodating and knowledgeable! They honored a coupon I found I online, got me registered super fast, and gave me good advice about how long to tan given I'd been tanning somewhere else for several weeks and wasn't sure about the strength of machines across stores. Also, the beds seemed really clean, which is a must. They lost a star because the lotion samples were super expensive! You can get a whole bottle of lotion somewhere else for the price of a sample of the cheapest lotion here. read more

Love this salon because the beds are amazing. However, the employees nag and nag to try and get you to buy things that you're so obviously not interested in. I pay enough to use the beds, I don't have an extra $100 to spend on a lotion that you try and tell me is "a necessity" I've gone tanning for years and years and gotten perfect color with much cheaper or sometimes no lotion at all. They make you feel bad if you tell them you can't afford it. Just let me tan! I don't want to feel like i'm being forced to buy something that I don't want or need. Way too pushy. I'll start by saying that I could care less about the money. This is entirely about the difference between right and wrong. We had a monthly tanning plan through Palm Beach for about 6 months. My mother was diagnosed with cancer in August of this year and my wife went into the store to cancel her membership because our life was going to revolve around the hospital and there was simply no reason to pay almost 70 bucks a month for the service that we wouldn't be using for the next few months at minimum. Fast forward 3 months after she cancelled and I noticed that they had continued charging us $69.95 per month for several months following her being told that they cancelled her account. This went on for many months because we simply don't look at our bank account that closely and probably didn't look at all during the time that my mother was in the hospital. After we recognized the mistake, we called and were basically redirected 2-3 times by people who acted like it simply isn't possible to refund a money to our debit card. As a business owner myself, I recognized this to be complete nonsense. We filed a dispute with our bank because we no longer view this as a mistake, we view it as fraud or theft. I have seen many other reviews stating almost the same issue and it appears to be a consistent business practice. I would advise anyone who is considering doing business with this company to never, ever give them your credit card. Fortunately, we are well capitalized and a few hundred bucks won't hurt us but I cant help but think about the people who they have probably done the same thing to. I will be filing a complaint with the state attorney general due to this and am considering legal action on the grounds that this is unconscionable behavior by this business. I am also considering a class action lawsuit because it is clear to me based on the reviews that are here and elsewhere that there are many people who have experienced similar issues. read more

I have been to several palm beach tan locations so I know what is expected of the service and faculty. The manager at this location is especially rude. She is not shy to show any attitude or passive aggressive comments. Not only the manager but the rest of the staff does not notify customers of any deals or offers. The staff here will make customers wait an unreasonable amount of time while they are in the laundry room (that washed the small towels you get when you tan) so they can gossip. They do not accommodate customers well or in any fashion that is professional. I dislike this location so much I drive an extra 20 minutes to go to a different one that I greatly prefer. read more

The staff is very friendly, the beds are high end and the facility is very clean. Overall, a very nice experience. Just overpriced and confusing membership subscription. I came in to tan the week before my wedding, the package and and subscription was very confusing to understand. I only wanted to tan for a week max and ended up paying $120 by the time it was said and done. I basically paid for a month of tanning but only went for a week. Maybe I had "newbie" written on my forehead but the whole process was kinda unnecessary. Tip: if you want to tan for a week or less, Pay for individual sessions. Plus, I didn't feel like I got the color I really wanted, so I went rogue and paid $20 for one single power session at Hollywood tans in fairlawn and that color is the one that lasted for three days and got me the glow for my wedding that I wanted. read more

I would like to say it was a good experience but from the first time going there I cannot have any say in what I want. I canceled my membership in less than a month due to their unavailability to allow me to tan the time I want. I also could not tan during the day when I was off work due to it not being exactly 24 hours from the day before. Of all the salons I have been to over the past 20 years I have never been told no based on the exact hour/minute, it has always been the next day. What a waste of my money. read more

I've been getting spray tans here for quite a while and unfortunately had to cancel my membership today but I still highly recommend. My spray tans always looked gorgeous when I used their primer (that stuff is so necessary!) and followed some tips and tricks ive learned along the way. I only cancelled because I now struggle eczema (I thought it would help cover it but actually makes it darker and more noticeable) and I wanted to cut back on spending. They let me cancel with no questions asked and they had also stopped selling me products Which they usually sell pretty hard (retail commission work sucks and I really felt for the employees). I don't know if the chill on sales was just me or just because of the COVID-19 pandemic but it made my experience much more enjoyable. Everyone who works here is super friendly and helpful and some employees really felt like family! I really respect how they handled the pandemic and always felt safe there. I wouldn't hesitate to go back in the future but it really sucks having to pay tan tax when you're only spraying. Wish there was a different policy in that. read more

I'm very impressed by my experience at this salon. I have never really tanned in my life but I wanted to build a little base tan before going to Florida. This place looked pretty solid online so I gave it a shot and just walked in- great decision. Everyone I came into contact with was fantastic but Marlean was absolutely fantastic. She allowed me download what I knew about tanning, what I was looking for, what I wanted to avoid, she took it all into consideration, and then showed me all the different possibilities and pros and cons etc. Very thorough and helpful. I came back a few days later and she remembered everything and even my name. I really appreciate that she didn't just push product on me- she weighed each option according to a variety of factors. I'll definitely be back. Since I don't tan that much i don't know what they're supposed to look like but this place was pretty spotless it was bright and shiny. Thanks for a great experience Marleen! If I could give this place zero stars I would. They make you play this 24 hour game which is completely inconvenient. It is a policy that does not take customers into consideration at all. My time is precious, I need to tan when I have the time not when they tell me I'm allowed. I have been tanning since the 80's and this is the ONLY tanning bed I've EVER been to that has this policy. The employees and owners need to use reasoning. I get if someone comes at 9 at night and is back again the next day at 8 in the morning, but to turn away a customer who hasn't tanned in 23 hours because of some nonsense 24 hour policy is ridiculous. So basically if I go at noon one day, the next day I have to wait around until afternoon when I had the time in my schedule to come earlier. It's complete bunk. This is why I quit coming here years ago and this nonsense rule will be why I quit coming here again. I need to go when it is convenient for me not when the 16 year old tanning nazis tell me I'm allowed to! read more

I'm truly impressed with this salon and their staff ! It was my first visit today and I was looking for information about spray tanning. I ended up with a membership. The staff is not pushing at all, just an overall great experience. Last time I spray tanned was back in Germany and I was a bit nervous if I'd understand the procedure etc. Savanah B was awesome!
