I've been going here for several years and was always satisfied, especially with my stylist. Last time I called to book I was told my stylist is no longer there so I booked with someone they recommended. Let me first say she was awesome, this review is no reflection on her. It's the atmosphere I have a problem with. They took away the seating when you come in so there's no where to sit, no one greets you. Last time I stood there while the one stylist was working on a client, I think it took 10 minutes for her to even notice I was there. While my stylist was working on my hair (I was the only client at the time) the music playing was so vulgar and disgusting, my stylist was even embarrassed and made a comment that she wishes she had control over the music. It was not relaxing at all. I don't know if someone new took over or what, but I will NOT be back. read more

The Website and Salon look lovely, but they want no business. they must have found a secret stash of customers that don't read Yelp or the internet ratings! Save time and money and go to a Salon that welcomes your business. I've called 6 times, left 4 voice mail messages and talked with a staff member to buy a $300.00 gift certificate that my daughter will pick up from the Salon. No return call, no contact. If you send them an online message, they never reply. Wait, they will reply weeks later and then it's too late. If their online booking says they have openings and you walk in to make that appointment, they will tell you they have no available appointments due to the time. Apparently anything after 3 for lashes they don't feel like doing it, no matter what day it is cause that time just does not work for her even though the online yikes show openings! I called salon couture and spa yesterday and explained that I had a bad situation with extensions left in too long. They had been last moved up July of 2022, right before a myrtle beach trip in which I went in and swam in the ocean! Three months later my appointment at therapy hair salon was scheduled and I received a call from LC, my hair dresser for 2 years asking me if I can come in sooner due to issues that day with her schedule. I said no problem but was in middle of a busy day and ended up arriving 11-12 min late, which at Therapy Hair Salon in Charlotte, NC means you are counted as no show and must pay for services in full! I didn't think this would apply especially since I was doing her a favor by the moved time, when I arrived she was horrible to me and refused to see me. I left and less than a week later had been admitted to hospital in Oct. for unexpected heart issues. My hair went through so much as well as my body with countless antibiotics and being stuck in bed in pain. By the time I got out in December my hair was a matted mess. You couldn't tell what was extensions and what was my hair. I explained this and they were so understanding and asked if I could come in the same day later at 2:30pm. Very scared and insecurely I said yes. The appointment was painful, embarrassing, but overall amazing and uplifting. Every single stylist touched my head and helped remove old extensions and knots. Adding their expertise and advice to the situation. The owner checked on me multiple times, and my hair dresser Lindsey kept me calm and full of complimentary champagne! Lindsay even stayed until little after 6pm when the salon closed at 5pm to then give my hair a nice cut from losing chunks here and there. I couldn't be happier with the end product! on April 19th I had an appt scheduled with Hailey Davis at 215. I arrived early at 2 , was not greeted but saw several girls working but was not greeted by anyone of them at 225 , I was approached by another worker that stated Hailey was not comfortable doing short hair cuts (pixie) this worker stated that if I wanted to come back next week she had some openings. so Ms Davis doesn't even have the professional courtesy to come to me herself and discuss my haircut options with me. I took my time to schedule an appt. with this salon and spent my time waiting for my appt. arriving early as professional people do. This move by your salon today was a total discrimination and it was felt. Moving forward a piece of advise to the owner, if your hair stylist only have certain cuts they like to do or specialize in color etc. ... I suggest you design a professional system such as J Booth or Salon Envy or Evolution listing who specializes in what type of hair cuts. Also please let Ms. Davis know that I'm a 25 to 30 percent tipper for services I receive. Oh and of course I did not schedule an appt to go back EVER. read more

I went to this salon for a cut and highlight. I am new to the area and wanted to find a good stylist. Not a high or even mid-range end experience - salon dingy, no offer of water or tea, just a gesture to the bathroom. Stylist was personable and appeared to listen to my concerns. Nice person. Cut was minimal - no texturing or expert work with the shears, just blunt cut. Despite earlier discussion about selecting the right products, no discussion was offered. After the blow dry, there was no styling whatsoever. My hair sat flat on my head, flatter than when I arrived. I was shocked when it appeared that she was done. No suggestions on how to style myself, although I was promised a cut that I could do So with. My partner, when he saw me directly afterwards, thought first that I had not had my hair done, and then he told he thought that the stylist had actually thinned out my hair. For a person with thin and thinning hair, you can imagine that this was awful. I can't tell if the color is okay because the cut and flatness is so bad. Worst salon experience and I will not return. Sara is awesome - she listens, is meticulous, never rushes and I LOVE my hair. She is helping me get my blonde hair back to the shade I love and offers realistic suggestions each time. How can salon couture improve? Up the quality of services and client relations so you earn and keep clients. Value your clients and they will value you. My last two experiences were absolutely awful and there won't be a third. Went to have a blow out and I lost track of how many times I asked the stylist to just blow dry hair straight. Left with a 50's puff and damp hair which frizzed up by the time I walked to the car. The next time I booked a blow out I specifically and with full disclosure asked not to be booked with the puffy maker stylist. When I arrived, I was told my booked stylist had left (no apology for error, not an explanation) but who comes in to announce she's doing my hair... ms puffy. Owner offered a poorly executed lame excuse after days of waiting for a call back although acknowledged that stylist was growing in experience (at the expense of unsuspecting clients in terms of quality and prices). read more

Went in for color with Sarah and she overprocessed pieces in the back giving me WHITE streaks with really dark hair and kind of a brass caramel in the front. Noticed the white pieces when I got home and didn't have time to go back to Charlotte so had to get it fixed back in Chapel Hill. Well fixing what she did cost an additional $145 and when I called the salon about it the called me a liar, rude, and unprofessional-even after I offered to put the into contact with the stylist I had fix Sarah's work this morning. Not sure if I'm warning y'all more about the awful service or the incredibly rude management. Either way, no client should be treated like this and people need to know about this place. Additionally, I got a facial and my skin broke out in a rash after. I called them about it and the owner procedes to talk to me like I just don't know skin or I've never gotten a facial before... I made an appointment to get my hair colored and shaped up a bit. I have never been here before. The place is immaculate! The decor is so gorgeous. Dalton was awesome. He knew what he doing and was so extremely sweet. I met the owner Amber and she made me feel at home. This place offers drinks as well which I think adds a great touch. They offer extensions for hair,eyelash extensions,and apparently have an amazing nail tech that you have to set an appointment ahead of time for. Do not go here for lash extensions! They used cluster lashes on me instead of singles which I did not know or ask for. This is unsafe and will cause damage to the natural lash! I called to have them removed multiple times and no one returned my calls, I went to a different salon to have them removed as they were pulling and tugging on my eyelid the next day. The procedure to remove them was horrendous. This salon should be ashamed to have done this scheme. Thirty minutes to have a complete set, I should have realized it was a scam, but to charge full price for cluster lashes adhered in clumps to the eyelid is completely inappropriate and unprofessional. This service should be taken off the salon menu until lash certification review is complete. Beware! Do not get your lashes here. Bad business move read more

I've been in the Lake Norman area for 2 years and have tried several pricy salons and have driven to Charlotte for the past several months for fear of starting over with someone new, maybe try to explain to my stylist 'better' what I didn't like and hopefully, she could execute the right cut for my hair and my face shape. The last 2 haircuts were just not good, did not lay right and I could barely get a second day out of the style. I thought for the steep price I paid, my hair should look pretty awesome. Since I leave next week to be out of town for Thanksgiving, I panicked and walked into a salon in Mooresville and asked if they could take a walk-in customer and I waited 15 minutes for Dalton. He looked at my hair, said what he thought the problem was and another stylist weighed in as well and I just went with it because I was so disgusted with my hair. Well you guessed it, for a fraction of the price I was paying, he cut exactly what he thought I needed and he was 100% right and now my cut is kind of perfect (or will be when some of the layers my previous stylist chopped into grow back). I'm loving that I don't have to agonize anymore and better yet, stay off 77 into Charlotte every 6 weeks. Couldn't be happier! read more
