I called to cancel next months red light therapy and was told I couldn't cancel it! I had to cancel by the 25th of the month or I would have to pay an additional months service. Then when I told her to cancel it now, so I wouldn't run into this problem next month, they said they couldn't do that either... I had to come in and sign a form first. What really gets me is they never told me that they were keeping my card on file to do all this and never told me that it had to be cancelled by the 25th. I don't think that's very good business practice at all. I'm not very happy. And when I got upset they told me to call Customer Service- they " weren't available " to take voice messages at this time?! What a racket. read more

I asked for a month of premium tans. It turns out that I spent $141 dollars on six tans and not a month of premium tans. Not only did the girl not tell me but also every time I walked into the salon they were so rude! I am paying you to tan; the least you could do is be nice. I have never felt so uncomfortable in a tanning salon in my life. The vibe of the Tuscaloosa University location is they are all stuck-up snobs. When someone asks for a month of premium tans, they shouldn't get six tans. They need to realize that they have terrible prices and treat their customers like crap. You can go to Tanning Oasis and get a month of premium tans for the same price you get six here, so think about it. read more

I'm not sure what has happened to the friendly staff that has been there over the years, but this employee was either having a bad day or just didn't care for her job. They will continue to charge you after you've canceled your membership. It's really creepy looking at your account seeing random charges then the tanning place says you owe them $80. They won't take your account off file. They keep it and charge you for whatever whenever. You have been warning!! I will be canceling this even if I have to get a lawyer involved. Such a rip off. I went in under a recommendation when I saw they had a promotion going on because I was in a wedding soon. The girl didn't give me the promotion and then told me repeatedly that paying $95 for a lotion was a good deal, even though I kept telling her I didn't want to buy anything that day until I'd talked to some friends about their recommendations. When I came back in for my second session I asked why my bill was so high, they told me that I SHOULD have received the promotion but since I'd already signed up there was nothing they could do. Also, their products are priced 2-3 times what you can buy them for online or in other stores. That $95 lotion is $22 online. I don't mind paying for tanning, but I'd like to get what I paid for. After my wedding I'm switching salons to a place that won't constantly try to screw me over. Their beds are good and the place is hospital clean, but I won't continue giving my business at a place that doesn't value honesty and integrity. read more

So, I have been here 4 times and 3 times my spray tan came off! The first time I went, the spray tan was pretty good because it did not come off in the shower. The next 3 times, every time I went into the shower, the water from my shower would drip the tan off in streaks. Thank goodness my dress covered up the streaks, but I was not happy! The last time I got a spray tan (which was a couple of weeks ago), the color was great, but I couldn't even stand in my shower the next day because the tan would come off. I literally had to stand outside my bathtub and tilt my head towards the water. Pricing was exceptional, but the website was not accessible and it was difficult for me to leave a review. My first experience was great, but it depends on who you get. The first time the staff members were very knowledgeable and helpful. However, the past few times a new woman assisted me and my spray tan became streaky after my shower each time. read more

If you are looking for an affordable tanning salon for spray tans, Palm Beach is not the place. They sell you an unlimited package, but you still have to buy your solutions and additives which run $5-$11 for each spray tan plus the cost of the monthly membership. There is nothing unlimited about the memberships accept for how many times a member walks through the door. The unlimited memberships are a BIG rip off. $49.00 a month plus additives costing $5-$11 for each spray is highway robbery. The Mystic tan does not give full body coverage. Be prepared to walk out with white knees, ankles, inner thighs, and inner upper arms. The Versa tan is no better at providing even tanning. The above mentioned body areas are also white with the Versa. Neither tan lasts longer than 3-4 days., but for extra money you can purchase a tan extender which does not help preserve your tan. If you talk with the staff about the areas of your body which the machine did not spray their answer is to come back in a couple of days which means you have to spend more money. Instead invest in a good self tanner for home use because self tanners provide better coverage and color than a Palm Beach spray tan. I do not recommend their spray tans. read more
