Clean, nice place to tan or spray tan. Workers are friendly. The problem with Palm Beach Tan is not the location but their policies. BEWARE OF SPECIALS: I purchased a special and the tanning sessions expired!!! For example I purchased 4 at a certain rate and after only using 1 (summer began), I recently went back and they expired the other 3 I paid for! I just pruchased another special and have to use everything within a month. This is difficult at times with work and spray tans lasting the way they do. Terrible practice for paying customers!! No other tanning sites I visited work with such tight deadlines and expirations. Make sure you don't lose your money!!! read more

Horrible service & experience Was yelled at by Jordan with her manager on the phone on their landline speaking with me & my home salon location manager on cell phone Then continued to yell at another customer demanding her to get involved with a situation the customer had nothing to do with nor was aware of what was going on Again managers from 2 locations on the phone heard this all unfold Coorparate will now be involved in this matter Loyal customer 10 yrs + this is not the worlds most difficult job Customer service is the job I'm visiting was here prior no issues traveling and tanning....this time was a nightmare No product knowledge ,no idea of bed, what cocktail w spray tan the order of both sessions lotion forget about it! I am a bit baffled by my experience with this salon. In August, I came in with the expectation to do a couple of sessions before moving out of state. The representative suggested that I do a monthly membership because it's "more economical" - I told her that I didn't want to do this because I often forget to cancel, and she told me that she would put a note on my account to cancel the membership so I wouldn't have to remember this. Fast forward a few months and I realize that in December I was still being charged. I called and spoke with a representative who told me she could see the note in the account, but that I'd always need a signed copy of cancelation and they can't just cancel memberships. I told her I was out of state and how do we facilitate this? She told me she'd speak to a manager and get back to me. No one ever called. I then sent an email through the corporate website explaining the issue and I still never heard back! We are now in February, and I am STILL being charged a monthly membership. I called again the Westport salon today to try to cancel my account, and the manager very abruptly told me (after putting me on hold) that she was too busy to talk to me. She then snapped that she talked to corporate about me and it's their job to call me and cancel my membership. She was very rude and abrasive and refused to even understand what I was saying. She then told me to come into the salon to cancel, refusing to hear me when I told her again that I moved across the country! This was all a bit shocking - a true "bait and switch" case and I would be very wary of signing any contract with this company. read more

Went in for the first time yesterday to get a spray tan for a special event. I saw a promotion online for a free spray tan for first time customers. The blonde woman behind the counter was the nastiest service worker I've ever interacted with. She was short with my sister and I, did not make eye contact with us, and was straight up rude. I ended up getting the developer tan in shade medium. I left it on all night, didn't sweat or shower, and woke up this morning to no difference in my skin tone. Doesn't looked like it worked at all. The store manager was one of the most rude and unprofessional people I've ever interacted with in my entire life. She was yelling at me and clearly hates her life. I have truly never experienced such disrespect and it seemed like her goal was to make me walk out of the store. She is the older dirty blonde lady. I think her name is Christie or something. Truly just have never been so disrespected and talked down to - I genuinely wonder why this lady chose to go into a client servicing role. If I could give this -100 I would. Watched a manager completely dehumanize an employee today, after what seemed to be an honest mistake. She then laughed in the employees face- in front of a lobby full of people. The manager (Meagan johnson) just scared away a very loyal customer. I had come in today to try and re open an account after moving back into the state after 3 years. After the abuse I witnessed today I will never step foot into a palm beach again. I am disgusting and disappointed. My heart hurts for that employee who was belittled and humiliated in front of a lobby full of people. Palm beach, you can do better. Take out your trash. read more

5 stars! This tanning salon truly rocks! I live in Oregon and I was just looking for a tanning salon to use while I am in town and sure enough I found PBT in Stratford! These gals are super nice and not pushy at all. Yes they will suggest their favorite lotion to use but they won't ever push a certain lotion in you! The manager Nicole is amazing! If I could give 0 stars I would. I have a daily routine that I've been following for months. After getting my membership at palm beach tan - just 3 days later I got a horrible rash all over my body. I thought it was just a bad sun allergy. It didn't go away and I went to dermatologist. He said it was staph infection and was more than 90% sure it was from a dirty tanning bed - and not the first time he has seen it. I contacted palm beach tanning for a refund and to speak to a manager. They only refunded me $50 - even thought I spent $75 on lotion, and over 100 on initiation fees. Manager refused to speak with me. Regional manager was also at the location when I called and she also refused to speak to me. Stay far away read more

Decided to tan before a wedding and couldn't be happier with my experience at PBT, Westport! I was greeted (with a smile) by Alysa, who gave me a tour and told me about package options. She did not try to sell me the most expensive package, but instead suggested what she thought best to fit my needs. She told me when I'd need to cancel, should I wish to do so, to avoid future charges Each time I've gone in, staff has been friendly, helpful, and the space is always extremely clean. First time here & very pleased with the phenomenal customer service from Kim! She was attentive, knowledgable & friendly! I came 1.5 hours before closing & she promptly answered all questions with a smile! Location was beyond clean & accommodating with anything you could need while tanning! This was my first time using the VersaSpa spray tanning system....very easy to use & sprays evenly with a minimal scent as opposed to other spray tans systems I have used! I give the tanning salon in itself three stars. it's a beautiful place and the beds are great. the only disappointment was that when I first purchase my package I had expressed to the girl that I was paying cash and that it was only for a wedding and after the 30 days I won't be back until summer. Because I do tan every summer. Sometimes all year around. The salon that I was going to for the last few years had closed sending me to this Salon. Once I made my full payment the day I registered not long after I had gotten a charge on my credit card. Which I had made clear that I would be rather pay cash. I gave a call and spoke to a wonderful girl name Nicole. I explained everything to her and she came up with a solution that satisfies me, until I came a couple days later only for another employer to abruptly delete everything Nicole had told me she would be doing to clear up the misunderstanding. I told her that I believed Nicole was the manager. She's very proudly correct me by letting me know that Nicole was the assistant manager and she in fact was the manager. So I guess my point is if and when you speak to one of the employers should you not be able to trust that the problem has been solved. Nice place, always very clean. You can tell it's a chain because so many people walk in and out everyday that the staff doesn't really remember you. Doesn't have that home tanning salon feel which I'm used to. Got a pretty good tan and a great spray tan in th few months I was there but was unhappy with the hidden fees and the ways they charged the credit cards. If you don't let them know within a certain 4 day time span that you don't want your membership renewed, you will be charged yet another month. They're CONSTANTLY trying to sell you new expensive lotion and upgrade your package, but that's a chain salon for you. They also would not let me tan at a time I wanted unless I signed a waiver which was ridiculous out of fear of law suit. In terms of tanning, you will get color. In terms of prices, you'll also probably get ripped off. Just be careful but it is a nice place! read more

The spray tan turned out nice, but this place has THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. They asked to see all my IDs and took my fingerprints (??), all I did was come to purchase a spray tan! They wouldn't let me go in the room together with my little sister, and pulled me back to the front of the store. The tan ended up just as good as the tans from Benefit, and although it is a little bit more expensive, I think I'm going to go to benefit from now on because they are way nicer and dont do any of that crazy ID/fingerprint stuff. read more

I like all the Palm Beach Tan places but this by far has the best customer service. Christy and staff greet you warmly and if you're a regular she knows what you do before you ask. Always clean and mostly never have issue with he Versa Spa being down. Love spray tanning!!! read more

WILL NEVER GO ANYWHERE ELSE TO TAN!! I never write yelps but I had to give a shoutout to Ashley the store manager! Walked in for the first time and she was nothing but amazing the whole time. Walked me through the whole store showed me all the different levels and where everything was even the toilet lol. She got me a great deal and went above and beyond to make sure I was pleased. She even hooked me up on some awesome lotion and my membership !! This company is so grateful to have such an awesome down to earth person running this store and I'm sure many many people would agree with me as I saw that she seemed to know everyone by name that walked in. keep slaying Ashley !!!! read more
